  • MPMoviePlayerController doesn't implement MPMediaPlayback protocal as advertised?

    I'm trying to use the MPMediaPlayback protocol's currentPlaybackRate() to slow down a video. I'm confused though as the class MPMoviePlayerController states that: You can control most aspects of playback programmatically using the methods and properties of the MPMediaPlayback protocol, to which this class conforms. Except just above in the header here: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/MediaPlayer/Reference/MPMoviePlayerController_Class/MPMoviePlayerController/MPMoviePlayerController.html it doesn't seem to. All I want to do is slow down the playback rate for a video.

  • Emacs braces indentation

    I can't for the life of me find any answer to this through conventional Internet means, so I'm hoping for some help. Emacs for me right now tends to do indentation on braces as follows: if( ... ) { } Which I find incredibly irritating; I've never even seen this behaviour anywhere else. At any rate, the behaviour I'm expecting is, if( ... ) { } If anyone knows how to modify this, it'd be greatly appreciated.

  • Drupal taxonomy multi-select default value

    I'm using drupal 6.16 and have a set of taxonomy terms that are set up as a multi-select box. I would like for the first item to be selected when the user loads the page. I dont know if I need to add code to a file or just simply change a setting. I should warn you I do not have a lot of experience, but would rate myself as a low intermediate level programmer.     Hello, I'm using outlook 2007. Two days ago, we've enabled auto-archiving, maybe that't the source of our problems, but I still have to investigate. At any rate, auto completion of email addresses in the to/cc/bcc fields has become a stopper, taking up to a minute to do something.   • Speed Problem with Wireless Connectivity on Cisco 877w

    Having a bit of a weird one with my local LAN setup. I recently installed a Cisco 877W router on my DSL2+ connection and all is working really well.. Upgraded the IOS to 12.4 and my wired clients are streaming connectivity superfast at 1.3mb/s. However, there seems to be an issue with my wireless clients - I can't seem to stream any data across the local wireless connection (LAN) and using the Internet, whilst responsive enough isn't really comparable with the wired connection speed.     I wanted to do some analysis on registered domain names. Looks like I can hit whois.internic.net to get information about each domain, but it also looks like there are rate limits that prevent me from doing large numbers of queries. Is there a way to periodically (say daily) grab the entire whois database? I really only care about whether a domain is registered or not, so I don't need the full whois information.
