• Jquery and Ajax to Dynamically load IFrame

  I have a script that dynamically loads iframes inside a webpage. You can see the demo here: DEMO I want to use jquery to achieve the same rseult, but with a nice sliding effect. Basically, I have 10 links on a page. When the link is clicked, I want the iframe window to load in the new content and apply an effect to the transition. Does anyone know of any plugins that exist for this. I am not experienced enough to write a script from scratch, so any help would be much appreciated!

• Getting javascript mouse position relative to website prefferably without jQuery

  I've found this snippet on Ajaxian, but I can't seem to use the cursor.y (or cursor.x) as a variable and when the function is called as such it does not seem to work. • pdf file download

  Once a member signs up a form they can download the pdf file. Currently, the pdf file is link with HTML which means that anyone with the url can download it. What's the best way to encrypt a page so that the user don't see the url to a pdf file. I tried creating a flash file and link the URL from flash using the following: var myPDF = new URLRequest("temp/test.pdf"); navigateToURL(myPDF); but it opens a new window and show's the URL !!! is there a way to make the browse forcefully download the file instead of opening in on a new browser. • WPF: Binding items added to UserControl's exposed children

  I have a user control that allows items to be added to it by exposing a Grid's Children property. Any control I add shows up fine but when I try to bind a property on the added item to a control in the main window nothing happens (example): <TextBox Name="txtTest" Text="Success!" /> <mycontrols:CustomUserControl.ExposedGridChildren> <TextBox Text="{Binding ElementName=txtTest, Path=Text, FallbackValue=fail}"/> </mycontrols:CustomUserControl.ExposedGridChildren> This example always results in the TextBox's text showing "fail". Here is how I'm exposing the children in the user control: public UIElementCollection ExposedGridChildren { get { return grdContainer.Children; } } Any thoughts? Is it a scope issue? • A little bit more complicated multiview App for Iphone

  Hi, i'm new to iphone development. I spend several days by looking for how write muliview app for an Iphone OS. I found how to switch the diferent views without navigation hierarchy (in this article). It's great, but i want more complicated function. For example, i have three diferent views (view 1 - 3) and i can switch between them with technique from link 1. It works fine. My question is: How can i put UITabBarController on view 2, that shows own subviews (tabView 1 - 3) and how put UINavigationController on view 3, that shows own subviews (navView 1 - 2)? The reslut should look like that, one main view (view 1) with two buttons (for example), which switch me to "window" with UiTabBarController or UINavigationController. I found only tutorials, where UITabBarController was a first controller class, that shows directly from AppDelegate (something like default Xcode predefined scenarios). Thanks for your helpfull answer, or i will be crazy soon:).

• Debug in Eclipse - ClassNotFoundException

  Hi all, when i debug in Eclipse a simple console application, I get a lot of ClassNotFoundException lines in the debug Window. It is not an error, somewhat lower in another pane I get "Source not found.". I understand that it is because the source code of the required class is not available, buI would like to skip over these lines... I have to press a lot of times the "step over" or "step out" button to get out of these states. What can I do in order to avoid these useless lines at all? Thanks

• Vim 80 column layout concerns

  I feel like the way I do 80-column indication in Vim is incorrect: set columns=80. At times I also set textwidth but I like to be able to see and anticipate line overflow with the set columns alternative. This has some unfortunate side effects -- I can't set number for fear of splitting between files that have different orders of line numbers; i.e. < 100 line files and = 100 line files will require two different set columns values because of the extra column used for the additional digit display. I also start new (g)Vim sessions instead of splitting windows vertically, which forces me to use the window manager's clipboard -- vsplits force me to do set columns every time I open or close a pane, so starting a new session is less hassle. How do you handle the 80-character indication when you want to set numbers, vertically split, etc.?

• Puzzled with nib files...

  I know nib files are serialized objects and they have owner, outlets to make connections. Using XCode Navigation window template I created application, which in its order created 2 nib files - MainWindow and SecondView. I can't understand how MainWindow is referring to SecondView, there is no connection between those two as far as I can see. SecondView's owner is UIViewController and in MainWindow there is a navigation tab which is also UIViewController. But how they are connected in IB I can't understand... Also I don't understand who is instanciating MainWindow's owner object and where that object is being kept, where is the variable which is UIApplication myApp = [[UIApplication alloc] init]. If I create 10 nib files with UIViewController owner, who will trigger their deserialization? If some class is nib file's owner, what is the essential responsibilities of that class? Is it deserializing nib file into memory? Sorry for unorganized questions, I've been reading numerous articles and docs about nib files, but it is still confusing.

• Attach Console to Service

  I currently have a WCF Service Library which will be started through a Console Application acting as ServiceHost. The ServiceHost starts the service and then waits with Console.ReadLine() for the "quit" command. If i do "Console.WriteLine();" in the service this will be printed to the ServiceHosts Console of course. The Service prints some information when the clients connect for example. Is it possible to have the ServiceHost converted to a real Windows Service (to start up when the machine boots without console window) and attach or detach a command prompt (cmd.exe) or another Console Application to it when needed? For example if I want so see which clients connect from now on? Thanks in advance!

• Multiple Context menus in PyQt based on mouse location

  I have a window with multiple tables using QTableWidget (PyQt). I created a popup menu using the right click mouse and it works fine. However, I need to create different popup menu based on which table the mouse is hovering over at the time the right mouse is clicked. How can I get the mouse to tell me which table it is hovering over? or, put in another way, how to implement a method so as to have a specific context menu based on mouse location? I am using Python and PyQt.   Hi All I need to capture screen (as print screen) in the way so I can access pixel color data, to do some image recognition, after that I will need to generate mouse events on the screen such as left click, drag and drop (moving mouse while button is pressed, and then release it). Once its done, image will be deleted. Note: I need to capture whole screen everything that user can see, and I need to simulate clicks outside window of my program (if it makes any difference) Spec: Linux ubuntu Language: C++ Performance is not very important,"print screen" function will be executed once every ~10 sec. Duration of the process can be up to 24 hours so method needs to be stable and memory leaks free (as usuall :) I was able to do in windows with win GDI and some windows events, but I'ev no idea how to do it in Linux. • Bind xaml vector images dynamically

  I'm looking for a way to bind xaml images dynamically in code. There are lots of examples online to show how to bind png or xaml images in the window's xaml, or to load png files in code. But I have found no examples for xaml files with build action=page. XmlReader can't handle them since they are compiled to baml. LoadComponent(new Uri("...filename.xaml") will apparently load the baml but what kind of image class do I load this into? BitmapImage(new Uri("...filename.xaml") does not seem to work, probably because it's not a bitmap. Thanks in advance.

  To support Window Vista in my game, I have changed were the save files are placed (From under Program Files to My Documents) for both XP and Vista installations. Now I would like to be able to move the current XP users save games from the old location to the new location. • Painting to Form then to Printer

  I often find myself needing to create custom reports that do NOT work with Crystal Reports or Report Viewer. Often, I hack a DataTable together and dumping that into a DataGridView control. It is never pretty, and printing is difficult. What I need is a class that I can call using the OnPaint event, but I've never sat down and written all of the Pen and Brush commands until now. Painting to the screen and painting to a printer both use the Graphics object, so I want to build a class that I'd pass in the Graphics object, my window bounds (a Rectangle), and some data (in the form of an instance of my class) that I'd use to paint a form or a sheet of paper. That sounds like a great concept! Surely, someone has done something like this before. Does anyone know of a book, a website tutorial, or video that goes into this? If someone wants to write all that out for me here, more power to you - but I'd think that would be too much work.

  I'm looking for a way to read document properties in C#. I've heard about dsofile.dll, but it seems like an old COM wrapper, and was wondering if there is something more modern for the .NET framework/C#. What I'm actually reading is not an office document file, but a Solidworks .SLDDRW file, that has Custom properties. You can view and change these in Windows Explorer by right-clicking on the file, and going to the Properties window, Custom tab. Anyone know how to read these custom properties in C# / .NET 3.5?   I would like to get the application icon for all foreground applications running on my Mac. I'm already iterating over all applications using the Process Manager API. I have determined that any process that does not have the modeBackgroundOnly flag set in the processMode (as retrieved from GetProcessInformation()) is a "foreground" application, and shows up in the task switcher window. All I need is an API that gives me a CImageRef (or similar) that contains the application icon for a process. I'm free to use either carbon or cocoa APIs.

I have a hard time understanding how to layout my project. i making a Pong game and my current design is to allocate an NSWindowController from my appDelegate. I then use custom view to act as paddles and ball. My problem is that i can't get the window controller to capture key events. Am i thinking wrong here? My idea is to have a controller class with all the logic, should i subclass another class for that?

• Delegate methods of NSTextField using NSNotification

  I have an NSTokenField in a window. I am using it to store tags related to a Core Data object. Right now I have it set up such that I can add tags to the objects, but I cannot delete them. I need a delegate method on the NSTokenField that can let me know when the user has moved the focus out of the NSTokenField. Since NSTokenField is a subclass of NSTextField I figured that I could use its delegate methods. It has two that I think could be useful: - (void)textDidChange:(NSNotification *)aNotification - (void)textDidEndEditing:(NSNotification *)aNotification I set my controller class as the delegate of my NSTokenField and put both of these methods into my controller class. I put a basic NSLog into each of them and neither is triggered when I interact with the NSTokenField. I am guessing it has something to do with NSNotification. How do I activate these methods?
