• Cannot display converted value inside xml field

  PS: My bad, there was not an error. I forgot to upload the latest version to the server... I have multimedias and images table. I save images in multimedias table with their images table id numbers. Then whenever I need image's url, with a simple function I get it from images table. The problem I am having is when I try to display image's url inside ImageURL, it just does not happen. • My UITabBarController isn't appearing, but its first view is?

  I've done some reorganizing of my project recently and now I'm not seeing my tab bar controller, but its first view controller's view is appearing. Here's a breakdown of everything that happens prior to the problem. App Delegate loads FirstViewController with nib. FirstViewController loads the application data from my server and then presents MainViewController with a modal transition. MainViewController is where the UITabBarController is supposed to be appearing. It's a very simple class. To accomodate for this, I am using JQuery. I want to write some HTML into the tbody element within 'myTable'. However, I am having problems understanding how to do this with the selectors. I know that I can get 'myTable' using: $("#myTable") I know that I can set the HTML of myTable by using the following: $("#myTable").html(someHtmlString); However, that sets the HTML of the entire table. In reality, I just want to set the HTML within the TBODY of 'myTable'. How do I do this with JQuery? Thank you!

  Let's say I have a Customer table which has a PrimaryContactId field and a SecondaryContactId field. Both of these are foreign keys that reference the Contact table. For any given customer, either one or two contacts may be stored. In other words, PrimaryContactId can never be NULL, but SecondaryContactId can be NULL. If I drop my Customer and Contact tables onto the "Linq to SQL Classes" design surface, the class builder will spot the two FK relationships from the Customer table to the Contact table, and so the generated Customer class will have a Contact field and a Contact1 field (which I can rename to PrimaryContact and SecondaryContact to avoid confusion). Now suppose that I want to get details of all the contacts for a given set of customers. If there was always exactly one contact then I could write something like: from customer in customers join contact in contacts on customer.PrimaryContactId equals contact.id select ... ...which would be translated into something like: SELECT ... FROM Customer INNER JOIN Contact ON Customer.FirstSalesPersonId = Contact.id But, because I want to join on both the contact fields, I want the SQL to look something like: SELECT ... • Most watched videos this week

  I have a youtube like web-page where users upload&watch videos. I would like to add a "most watched videos this week" list of videos to my page. But this list should not contain just the videos that ware uploaded in the previous week, but all videos. I'm currently recording views in a column, so I have no information on when a video was watched. So now I'm searching for a solution to how to record this data. The first is the most obvious (and the correct one, as far as I know): have a separate table in which you insert a new line every time you want to record a new view (storing the ID of the video and the timestamp). I'm worried that I would quickly get huge amounts of data in this table, and queries using this table would be extremely slow (we get about 3 million views a month). The second solution isn't as flexible but is more easy on the database. I would add 7 columns to the "videos" table (one for each day of the week): views_monday, views_tuesday , views_wednesday, ... And increment the value in the correct column based on the day it is. And I would reset the current day's column to 0 at midnight. I could then easily get the most watched videos of the week by summing this 7 columns. What do you think, should I bother with the first solution or will the second one suffice for my case? If you have a better solution please share! Oh, I'm using MySQL.

• Convert charset in mysql query

  Hi, I have a question about converting charset from inside mysql query. I have a 2 databases. One for the website (joomla), the other for forum (IPB). I am doing query from inside joomla, which by default have "SET NAMES UTF8". I want to query a table inside the forum databases. A table called "ibf_topics". This table has latin1 encoding. I do the following to select anything from the not-utf8 table. //convert connection to handle latin1. $query = "SET NAMES latin1"; $db->setQuery($query); $db->query(); $query = "select id, title from other_database.ibf_topics"; $db->setQuery($query); $db->query(); //read result into an array. //return connection to handle UTF8. $query = "SET NAMES UTF8"; $db->setQuery($query); $db->query(); After that, when I want to use the selected tile, I use the following: echo iconv("CP1256", "UTF-8", $topic['title']) The question is, is there anyway to avoid all this hassle? For now, I can't change forum database to UTF8 and I can't change joomla database to latin1 :S

  I've a table view that has a custom table view cell in it. My problem is that when i try and assign a value to a variable in the custom table view cell I get the stated error. Now, I think its because the said variable is not initialised, but its got me completely stumped. • tbody td borders not scrolling with content in tbody overflow:auto;

  I am unable to get the borders of these td's to follow their rows as I scroll through this overflow:auto; . Any ideas on a fix? Note: Setting table-layout:fixed or making rows display:block isn't an option as the rows will lose their fluidity.. You can see the issue in the latest Firefox, so I assume it's messed up elsewhere.   Dear Everyone, I have the following data: CREATE TABLE `groups` ( `bookID` INT NOT NULL, `groupID` INT NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY(`bookID`), KEY( `groupID`) ); and a book table which basically has books( bookID, name, ... ), but WITHOUT groupID. There is no way for me to determine what the groupID is at the time of the insert for books. I want to do this in sqlalchemy. Hence I tried mapping Book to the books joined with groups on book.bookID=groups.bookID. I made the following: tb_groups = Table( 'groups', metadata, Column('bookID', Integer, ForeignKey('books.bookID'), primary_key=True ), Column('groupID', Integer), ) tb_books = Table( 'books', metadata, Column('bookID', Integer, primary_key=True), tb_joinedBookGroup = sql.join( tb_books, tb_groups, \ tb_books.c.bookID == tb_groups.c.bookID) and defined the following mapper: mapper( Group, tb_groups, properties={ 'books': relation(Book, backref='group') }) mapper( Book, tb_joinedBookGroup ) ... However, when I execute this piece of code, I realized that each book object has a field groups, which is a list, and each group object has books field which is a singular assigment. I think my definition here must have been causing sqlalchemy to be confused about the many-to-one vs one-to-many relationship. Can someone help me sort this out? • proper fill an image larger than screen

Thanks! UPDATE: I added: imgView.clipsToBounds = YES; and find out in landscape mode the image bounds is smaller than screen in height. so the question becomes how to have the image view keeps original ratio (thus shows the full image always) when rotated to landscape? do I need to manually resize it after rotation again?

  I have an array consisting of several objects containing Strings. I am successfully able to display the array by using: <td><p onclick="theMiddle(this)">The Middle</td> As you see from the td tag this is part of a table. Issue is that the browser opens up a new page to display my text. • Horizontal scrolling in a wx.RichTextCtrl

  I have a RichTextCtrl created as follows: self.userlist = wx.richtext.RichTextCtrl(self, style=wx.TE_MULTILINE|wx.TE_READONLY|wx.HSCROLL) It all works fine, except for the wx.HSCROLL style. If I change the RichTextCtrl to a regular TextCtrl, it correctly horizontal scrolls on long lines, rather than wrapping, but on the RichTextCtrl it wraps regardless. Is there an easy way to make it scroll horizontally? (I do, unfortunately, need the RichTextCtrl's featureset for this object.)

  This is how my model looks like User belongs_to :computer Computer has_many :user Users are created when people register for an account on the web site but computers are pre-loaded data that I create in seeds.rb/some .rake file. All is fine and good when the app is first launched and people start registering and get associated with the right computer_id. However, suppose I want to add another computer to the list Computer.destroy_all Computer.create({:name => "Akane"}) Computer.create({:name => "Yoda"}) Computer.create({:name => "Mojito"}) #newly added running the rakefile the second time around will mess up the associations because computer_id in the User table refer to the old id in Computer table. Since I have run the script above, the id keeps incrementing without any regard to the association that user has to it. Question: Is there a better way for me to pre-load data without screwing up my association? I want to be able to add new Computer without having to destroy the user's table. Destroying the computer table is fine with me and rebuilding it again but the old association that the existing users have must stay intact.

• incorrect height in Chrome when "-webkit-appearance: none" and value="" on <input> tag

  In Chrome v17.0.963.79 on Windows 7, I seem to be having an inexplicable problem when applying the -webkit-appearance: none style to an <input> tag. The problem is as follows: I have a stylesheet, let's call it potatofoot.css, which consists of the code .tbl { display: table; } .tblRow { display: table-row; } .tblCell { display: table-cell; } input { -webkit-appearance: none; }? and I have an html file, let's call it blech.html, which contains the code <div class="tbl"> <div class="tblRow"> <label class="tblCell">Name</label> <input type="text" class="tblCell" value="I'M NOT EMPTY! OH, YEAH!"> </div><!--end tblRow--> </div><!--end tbl--> This displays fine (see this jsfiddle). But when I empty the value attribute, as in this jsfiddle, the entire table grows from a height of 26px to a height of 31px, the label moves to the bottom, and the input stays at the top. However, if I remove -webkit-appearance: none;, everything shows up the same with and without out the value attribute being filled. What's going on?

• Rendering problem with UITableview

  I have a very strange problem with a UITableview within a navigation controller on the iPhone simulator. Of the cells displayed, only some are correctly rendered. They are all supposed to look the same but the majority are missing the accessory I've set, scrolling the view changes which cell has the accessory so I suspect it's some sort of cell caching happening, although the contents are correct for each cell. I also set an image as the background and that was also only displaying sporadically but I fixed that by changing cell.backgroundView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"yellow-bar_short.png"]]; (which also only rendered a random cell with the background) to cell.backgroundColor = [[UIColor alloc] initWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"yellow-bar_short.png"]]; I now need to fix the problem with the accessory only showing on a random cell. I tried moving the code from cellForRowAtIndex to willDisplayCell but it made no difference. I put in a log command to confirm that it is running through each frame. Basically it's a table view (UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle) that gets its info from a server & is then updated by a delegate method calling reload.
