• NHibernate 2.1 MsSql2000Dialect error

  Hi. I had an old (but great) app using NHibernate 1.0.2. Worked like a charm. But then I decided to upgrade to NHibernate 2.1.2. Had to change some stuff, worked great also. Problem is, I founded out that new version works in some machines and do not work in others. What the heck? Thinking a while, I discovered that it only works in pcs with SQL 2000 installed!! previous version used to works everywhere.... • can't get jquery livequery to with an update panel

  I have some basic html inside an asp.net update panel. Using livequery, I set up autocomplete, blur and keydown events so that they all continue to be wired up after the update panel does a partial page load. When the page initially loads, all the events work fine but after the update panel does a partial page reload, none of the events wired up with livequery continue to work. Are there known issues with livequery and update panels? • Javascript Onclick Problem with Table Rows

  Hello. I am having problems with my JScript code. I am trying to loop through all of the rows in a table and add an onclick event. I can get the onclick event to add but have a couple of problems. The first problem is that all rows end up getting set up with the wrong parameter for the onclick event. The second problem is that it only works in IE. Here is the code excerpt... shanesObj.addTableEvents = function(){ table = document.getElementById("trackerTable"); for(i=1; i<table.getElementsByTagName("tr").length; i++){ row = table.getElementsByTagName("tr")[i]; orderID = row.getAttributeNode("id").value; alert("before onclick: " + orderID); row.onclick=function(){shanesObj.tableRowEvent(orderID);}; }} shanesObj.tableRowEvent = function(orderID){ alert(orderID);} The table is located at the following location... http://www.blackcanyonsoftware.com/OrderTracker/testAJAX.html The id's of each row in sequence are... 95, 96, 94... For some reason, when shanesObj.tableRowEvent is called, the onclick is set up for all rows with the last value id that went through iteration on the loop (94). • Auto load a specific link at various time intervals

  Here's what I need to do. I'm using Google Chrome. The reason why the page auto-reloads every 5 seconds is I'm waiting for a specific link or url to appear in the page. It appears at random times. Once I see the link I'm waiting for, I immediately click the link. That's fine. But I want more. What I want is the page will auto-reload and I want it to auto-detect the the link I'm waiting for. Once the script finds the link I'm waiting for, it automatically loads that link on a new tab or page. For example, I'm auto-reloading www.example.com. I'm waiting for a specific url "BUY NOW". When the page auto-reloads, it checks if there's a url "BUY NOW". If it sees one, it should automatically open that link. Thanks.

• Verifying regular expression for malware removal

  Unfortunately, one of my web servers was compromised recently. I have two questions. Is there a way I can scan the downloaded directory for backdoors? Is there anything I can do to ensure that at least known vulnerabilities do not exist anymore? For this I am doing: find ./ -name "index.*" -exec sed -i 's/<script>\/\*GNU GPL\*.*Hva23p3hnyirlpv7.*<\/script>//g' {} \; Just wanted to verify if this does the trick. I verified it with a few files but I want to be sure that this doesn't delete some valid code. Anyone suggests any other modifications?

• MVC2 and jquery.validate.js

  I am experiencing some confusion with jquery.validate.js First of all, what is MicrosoftMvcJqueryValidation.js. It is referenced in snippets on the web but appears to have dissapeared from the RTM MVC2 and is now in futures. Do I need it? The reason I'm asking is that I'm trying to use the validator with MVC and I can't get it to work. • How to resize a Flot graph when its containing div changes size

  I'm using the Flot graphing library jQuery plugin and I haven't found a good way to handle resizing the graph when it's containing <div> changes size (for example, due to window resizing). When handling the onresize event, I've made sure that the width and height of the containing <div>are updated to the correct size and then tried calling both setupGrid and draw on the plot object but with no effect. I've had some success with the approach of just removing and readding the containing <div> and replotting the graph in it. However, this seems to be prone to getting stuck in infinite resize event loops if I have to add other <div> elements to the document at the same time (like for tooltips for the graph) as I'm guessing those can trigger resize events as well? Is there a good way to handle it that I'm missing? (I'm also using ExplorerCanvas for IE in order to be able to use Flot, if that might have anything to do with it. I haven't really tried in any other browsers yet)

• C#: WebBrowser.Navigated Only Fires when I MessageBox.Show();

  I have a WebBrowser control which is being instantiated dynamically from a background STA thread because the parent thread is a BackgroundWorker and has lots of other things to do. The problem is that the Navigated event never fires, unless I pop a MessageBox.Show() in the method that told it to .Navigate(). I shall explain: ThreadStart ts = new ThreadStart(GetLandingPageContent_ChildThread); Thread t = new Thread(ts); t.SetApartmentState(ApartmentState.STA); t.Name = "Mailbox Processor"; t.Start(); protected void GetLandingPageContent_ChildThread() { WebBrowser wb = new WebBrowser(); wb.Navigated += new WebBrowserNavigatedEventHandler(wb_Navigated); wb.Navigate(_url); MessageBox.Show("W00t"); } protected void wb_Navigated(object sender, WebBrowserNavigatedEventArgs e) { WebBrowser wb = (WebBrowser)sender; // Breakpoint HtmlDocument hDoc = wb.Document; } This works fine; but the messagebox will get in the way since this is an automation app. When I remove the MessageBox.Show(), the WebBrowser.Navigated event never fires. I've tried supplanting this line with a Thread.Sleep(), and by suspending the parent thread. Once I get this out of the way, I intend to Suspend the parent thread while the WebBrowser is doing its job and find some way of passing the resulting HTML back to the parent thread so it can continue with further logic. Why does it do this? How can I fix it? If someone can provide me with a way to fetch the content of a web page, fill out some data, and return the content of the page on the other side of the submit button, all against a webserver that doesn't support POST verbs nor passing data via QueryString, I'll also accept that answer as this whole exercise will have been unneccessary.

• DHTML with Javascript and CSS is not working

  So for some reason this unobtrusive javascript code is not working and I can't figure out for the life of me why it won't work. I dynamically change the className of a div element and therefore I expect the CSS to reflect that change. However it doesn't. However, the webpage doesn't reflect that by changing the background color to be red. (it doesn't work with changing text color either. I tried that.). I know the CSS is correctly loading. So what is the problem?

• Proggraming a VPN, Authontication stage - RFC not clear enough

  I have a custom build of a unix OS. My task: Adding an IPSec to the OS. I am working on Phase I, done sending the first 2 packets. what I am trying to do now is making the Identefication Payload. I've been reading RFC 2409 (Apendix B) which discuss the keying materials (SKEYID, SKEYID_d, SKEYID_a, SKEYID_e and the IV making). Now, I use SHA1 for authontication and thus I use HMAC-SHA1 & my encryption algorithem is AES 256bit. The real problem is that the RFC is not clear enough of what should I do regarding the PRF. It says: "Use of negotiated PRFs may require the PRF output to be expanded due to the PRF feedback mechanism employed by this document." I use SHA1, does it mean I do not negotiate a PRF? In my opinion, AES is the only algorithm that needs expention (a fixed length of 256bit), so, do i need to expand only the SKEYID_e? If you happen to know a clearer, though relible, source then the RFC please post a link. Thanks in advance!

• svcutil, WSDL, and the generated interfaces not being sufficient for implementation

  I have a WSDL file defining a service that I have to implement in WCF. I had read that I could generate the proxy using svcutil from the WSDL file, and that I could then use the generated interfaces to implement the service. Unfortunately, I can't quite seem to find a way to have the interfaces contain the correct attributes to expose the contracts. All operations have the "OperationContractAttribute" attribute, but it appears as though for the service to be exposed, I require the "OperationContract" for each one. Same thing with "ServiceContractAttribute" and "ServiceContract", and I imagine DataContract, but I haven't gotten that far. I could manually make these changes, but I would much prefer a technique where the existing code could be easily used, or better code could be generated for my uses. Is there some way that this can be done? Thanks. • CSS Caching and User-CUstomized CSS - Any Suggestions?

  I'm just trying to figure out the best approach here... my consideration is that I'd like my users to be able to customize the colors of certain elements on the page. These are not pre-made css they can choose from, but rather styles that can be edited using javascript to change the style, so they cannot be "pre-made" into separate style sheets. I am also generating the css into a cache directory since I am generating the css through a PHP script. I am thinking that, perhaps I should: 1) If cached css file doesn't exist, create css file using the website default style settings. 2) If cached css file does exist, check if user has custom settings, if so, edit the cache file before displaying it. Btw, when I refer to "cached file" I mean the PHP generated css document. My goal is to prevent the need to have PHP re-generate the css file each time, whilst still allowing users, when logged in, to have their customized css settings applied. I will store these settings in a database most likely so when they return it is saved for them when they login.

However, usage showed me that opening more than one contact might be interesting as well. So I read the note on the bottom of the accordion page to use this instead of accordion: From page: jQuery(document).ready(function(){ $('.accordion .head').click(function() { $(this).next().toggle('slow'); return false; }).next().hide(); }); My problem is that it doesn't look like accordion (smoothness style). I suppose I am not putting the accordion and head class at the right place, but as of now the names look like default links. How can I have the same look for the headers as the accordion effect, without using accordion? I tried searching around but from what I found that specific problem is not much discussed. Thanks.

• Fade HTML element with raw javascript

  It's my second question of the day related to the same problem, so I apologize for that. I was able to put together a function to "fade out" an element, and it works just fine, my problem is that when I try to reverse it, so the element "fades in" it does not work. I've tried to change the obvious, but I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.   I have an issue with rails Autocompletion from some code that i've inherited from an old Rails 1.2.3 project that I'm porting to Rails 2.3.5. The issue revolves around javascript execution within the auto_complete helper :after_update_element. The scenario is: A user is presented with a popup form with a number of fields. In the first field as they enter text the auto_complete AJAX call occurs, returning a result, plus a series of other HTML data wrapped in <divs> so that the after_update_element call can iterate over the other data and fill in the remaining fields. The issue lies with the extraction of the other fields which works on IE, fails on Firefox.
