  Company branding can create a sense of spirit, belonging, familiarity, and fun. CRM On Demand has long offered company branding options, but now, with Release 17, those options have become quicker, easier, and more flexible. Themes (also known as Skins) allow you to customize the appearance of the CRM On Demand application for your entire company, or for individual roles. Users may also select the theme that works best for them. You can create a new theme in 5 minutes or less, but if you're anything like me, you may enjoy tinkering with it for a while longer. Before you begin tinkering, I recommend spending a few moments coming up with a design plan. If you have specific colors or logos you want for your theme, gather those first...that will move the process along much faster. If you want to match the color of an existing Web site or application, you can use tools, like Pixie, to match the HEX/HTML color values. Logos must be in a JPEG, JPG, PNG, or GIF file format. Header logos must be approximately 70 pixels high by 1680 pixels wide. Footer logos must be no more than 200 pixels wide. And, of course, you must have permission to use the images that you upload for your theme. Creating the theme itself is the simple part. Here are a few simple steps. Note: You must have the Manage Themes privilege to create custom themes. Click the Admin global link. Navigate to Application Customization Themes. Click New. Note: You may also choose to copy and edit and existing theme. Enter information for the following fields: Theme Name - Enter a name for your new theme. Show Default Help Link - Online help holds valuable information for all users, so I recommend selecting this check box. Show Default Training and Support Link - The Training and Support Center holds valuable information for all users, so I recommend selecting this check box. Description - Enter a description for your new theme. Click Save. Once you click Save, the Theme Detail page opens. From there, you can design your theme. The preview shows the Home, Detail, and List pages, with the new theme applied. For more detailed information about themes, click the Help link from any page in CRM On Demand Release 17, then search or browse to find the Creating New Themes page (Administering CRM On Demand Application Customization Creating New Themes). • Create Custom Playlists in Windows Media Player 12

  A playlist is a group of songs or media files that are grouped together based on a theme. Today we’ll look at how to create your own custom playlists in Windows Media Player 12. Create Custom Playlists Open Windows Media Player and switch to the Library view. Click on the Play tab at the top right to reveal the List pane.   If you currently have songs listed on the List pane, you can remove them by clicking Clear list.   To add songs to your playlist, right-click on the song title, select Add to, and then click Play list. You can also drag and drop the song title right onto the play list area. Hold down the Control [Ctrl] key while clicking to select more than one track at a time.   Changing the Playlist Order You can click and drag each item in your playlist to move it up or down.   You can also right click on the title and select Move up or Move down, or to completely remove a track from your playlist. You have the option to shuffle your list by clicking the Options list icon and selecting Shuffle list from the dropdown list. By selecting Sort list by you can sort by Title, Artist, Album, Release date, and more. Saving and naming your playlist To save your playlist, click on the Save list button. You’ll be prompted to enter a name for your playlist in the text box. Click away when you are finished. Windows Media Player will display your most recent playlists in the Navigation panel. This is one of the script which every developer would like to keep it handy. I have upgraded the script bit more. I have included few additional information which I believe I should have added from the beginning. It is difficult to visualize the final script when we are writing it first time. I use every script which I write on this blog, the matter of the fact, I write only those scripts here which I was using at that time. It is quite possible that as time passes by my needs are changing and I change my script. Here is the updated script of this subject. If there are any user data types, it will list the same as well.   i've to install a number of machines. Some machines have windows 7 installed. Some machines not. The machines have 0 or 2 or 3 partitions. Every machine has enough free diskspace (20 to 250 GB) I installed an "golden client" and build an tar archiv of this client. Now, every client boots up a small linux via pxe, and run a script. This script should create a ext4 and a swap partition using the whole free space. After this, mount the ext4-partition, copy tar, chroot, and so on. The problem still is: I can create partitions using fdisk. But how can i figure out the partion number of the new partition. Do i have to mount /dev/sda3 or /dev/sda1? Someone an idea? Further question: How can i figure out, if the is unallocated space, and how much it is? Thanks

  Do you have certain folders that you access often each day but are only available through the Places Menu or Nautilus? See how easy it is to create shortcuts for your desktop and taskbar with our quick tutorial. To get started open Nautilus and locate the folders that you want to make new shortcuts for. For our example we chose Ubuntu One. Right click on the chosen folder and select Make Link. Your new shortcut will appear with the text Link to “Folder Name” and an Arrow Shortcut Marker attached. If you are happy with your new shortcut as is, then drag it to your desktop or taskbar as desired. We created the shortcut twice in our example…once for the desktop and once for the taskbar. For our example we decided to customize the taskbar shortcut a bit. To customize your shortcut right click on the shortcut and select Properties. Note: The desktop shortcut is limited on the amount you can customize it (name change and addition of up to four emblems to the folder). From here you can rename the shortcut and change the icon as desired. A quick name change and new icon made a huge improvement in how our taskbar shortcut looked. • Cannot Create a connection to Data Source VB 2010 [closed]

  I seem to be having some issues with my Visual Basic 2010. I am trying to create a connection to a data source and it is just not working. Even my old connections in my other projects are not working. When I get into VB I try and create a connection by clicking Add New Data Source Database DataSet New Connection and when I click on New Connection the screen disappears and I am not able to select anything. Does anyone know of a glitch or something? I have checked my ODBC connections and all is good and I have been able to play around with my Access connections (which I am trying to connect) and Queries and everything seems to be working fine. I have rebooted several times, uninstalled and resinstalled VB and have also repaired the entire application. I am not sure what else to try or what else to do. Any help would be much appreciated. My computer specs are XP SP3, Core2 Duo at 2.80 and 3GB RAM

• Mac OS X Finder - Creating New Folder with Right-Click in List View

  I am aware that when using Finder in List view, I can create a new folder by right-clicking on an empty row, and pressing 'New Folder'. However, when I happen to be browsing a folder with quite a lot of files (or just enough to invoke a scrollbar), there are no blank rows, and hence nowhere that I can right-click to create a new folder. This is not a big problem, I am just a whinger who likes consistency and find this frustrating. Yes, I am aware that I can press Shift + Cmd + N, or can simply change the Finder view. BUT, is there a way to do this within list view? Am I missing something obvious? Edit: oh, and I'm using Snow Leopard (version 10.6) :)

  Sometime a simple solution have even simpler solutions but we often do not practice it as we do not see value in it or find it useful. Well, today’s blog post is also about something which I have seen not practiced much in codes. We are so much comfortable with alternative usage that we do not feel like switching how we query the data. I was going over forums and I noticed that at one place user has used following code to get Schema Name from ObjectID. USE AdventureWorks2012 GO SELECT s.name AS SchemaName, t.name AS TableName, s.schema_id, t.OBJECT_ID FROM sys.Tables t INNER JOIN sys.schemas s ON s.schema_id = t.schema_id WHERE t.name = OBJECT_NAME(46623209) GO Before I continue let me say I do not see anything wrong with this script. It is just fine and one of the way to get SchemaName from Object ID. However, I have been using function OBJECT_SCHEMA_NAME to get the schema name. If I have to write the same code from the beginning I would have written the same code as following. SELECT OBJECT_SCHEMA_NAME(46623209) AS SchemaName, t.name AS TableName, t.schema_id, t.OBJECT_ID FROM sys.tables t WHERE t.name = OBJECT_NAME(46623209) GO Now, both of the above code give you exact same result. If you remove the WHERE condition it will give you information of all the tables of the database. Now the question is which one is better – honestly – it is not about one is better than other. Use the one which you prefer to use. I prefer to use second one as it requires less typing. Let me ask you the same question to you – which method to get schema name do yo use? and Why?   I have some questions about the creating graphics for a game. As an example. I want to create a motorbike. (1pixel = 1centimeter) So my motorbike will have 200 width and 150 height. (200x150) But the libgdx only allows to load sizes with the power of 2?! (2,4,8,16,...) First I thought about that way. I will create my bike with the size (200x150) and save it as png. Than I will open it again (e.g. with gimp) resize the image to a size which uses values with power of 2 (128x128). I will load that as texture in the programm and set width as 200 and height as 150. But wouldn't it be a problem? Because I will lose some pixel information when I make the first conversation.?! Isn't it?

• I'm in a group but can't create or modify files

  I have two user accounts. Let's say one is User1 and the other is User2. Both of these accounts are in the "root" group. I made a folder with some files in it. The owner is User1 and the group is root. The permissions are set so the group "root" can create and delete files. However, when I log in as User2, I can only access files. User2 is in the "root" group for sure, and when I right-click on the folder in Nautilus, and then PropertiesPermissions, it says there that the "root" group can create and delete files. What's going on? edit: Logged out and then back in, and, I don't know why, everything works now...

I looked at various Blender tutorials for creating "earth", and for their cloud layers they use earth cloud maps from NASA. However I will be creating a fictional universe with many procedurally-generated planets. So I would like to use many variations. I'm hoping there's a way to procedurally generate cloud maps such as the NASA link. I will also need to create gas giants, so I will also need other kinds of cloud texture maps. If that is too difficult, I could fall back to creating several variations of cloud maps. For example, 3 for earth-like, 3 for gas giants, etc. So how do I statically create or programmatically generate such cloud maps?

On my server I installed nfs-kernel-server and edited the /etc/exports file to include the folder I want to share: /var *(rw,sync) On my client machine I edited my fstab file to include share: //128.251.xxx.xxx/var/ ~/uslonsweb003 nfs #username=[username],password=[password], 0 0 Entered command: sudo mount -a which gives this error: mount.nfs: remote share not in 'host:dir' format Where did I go wrong with this setup? Also if there is a better way (using command line) to setup a folder share on an Ubuntu 10.10 server that will be accessed by other linux and windows machines please let me know. UPDATE: The mapped drive is now not letting me create,edit,delete files or folders (readonly access) my configuration is as follows: client fstab file: 128.251.xxx.xxx:/var /home/coreyf/uslonsweb003 nfs rw,hard,intr, 0 0 server exports file: /var *(rw,no_root_squash,sync,no_subtree_check) UPDATE 2: Using Allans solution my drive mounted correctly however after putting rw,intr as my additional parameters I cannot create, edit and delete folders/files.

The problem is that, at least by default, SQuirrel Client does not open up multiple tables at a time. When you click on a different Table object, the main view is refreshed with newly selected table data. Oracle's SQLDeveloper (which I am trying to move away from) did this by default if I recall, but there was an option to "freeze" panes. Does a similar option exist in SQuirrel Client? I do not require the ability to view the contents of two different tables on the same screen (i.e. a split view) but I would like the ability to have tabs for each table so I can quickly switch between each table view rather then having to find the table in the table list over and over again. Note: I am using this in a professional capacity but if it does not "belong" here then I suppose it could be moved to superuser.

  A task in my homework assignment asks me to create a virtual file system, mount it, and perform some operations on it. I am supposed to create a file of 10 MB whose bits are all set to 0, format it as ext3 and mount it. This is how I've done that: dd if=/dev/zero of=~/filesyst bs=10485760 count=1 sudo mkfs.ext3 ~/filesyst sudo mount –o loop ~/filesyst /media/fuse Even though I've used /dev/sero, the file i still full of gibberish characters (mostly at-signs). The permissions on /media/fuse are drw-rw-rw- (which are alright), but the permissions on the files inside it are something like this: d????????? ? ? ? ? ? lost+found -????????? ? ? ? ? ? secret_bin Where have I gone wrong?

• Store and create game objects at positions along terrain

  I have a circular character that rolls down terrain like that shown in the picture below. The terrain is created from an array holding 1000 points. The ground is drawn one screen width infront and one screen width behind. So as the character moves, edges are created infront and edges are removed behind. My problem is, I want to create box2d bodies at certain locations along the path and need a way to store these creator methods or objects. I need some way to store a position at which they are created and some pointer to a function to create them, once the character is in range. I guess this would be an array of some sort that is checked each time the ground is updated and then if in range, the function is executed and removed from the array. But I'm not sure if its even possible to store pointers to functions with parameters included... any help is much appreciated!
