  In a Python Google App Engine app I'm writing, I have an entity stored in the datastore that I need to retrieve, make an exact copy of it (with the exception of the key), and then put this entity back in. How should I do this? In particular, are there any caveats or tricks I need to be aware of when doing this so that I get a copy of the sort I expect and not something else.

• Emacs How to redefine Shift-R for expected use

  I've checked my elisp files to make sure that I do not have any bindings that contain Shift+R (and I have not found any). I expect SHIFT+R to print an uppercase character, but instead I get R R undefined inside of the Emacs command line. This is only in C/C++ major modes. Any suggestions? Update: Describing the key shows that it is undefined. How would I define it for the normal, expected use (capitalizing the letter R)?

  I am looking for a small linux tool that would be able to extract text from odt file. It just needs to be human-readable and it can have problems with complicated objects etc. It's almost a duplicate of this question but I need it to be small and have no dependencies on OpenOffice or X server I remember having a 1MB MS-DOS program that could render .doc files quite readibly (with some weird markup getting through from time to time), so i expect it to be possible in the linux world too ;)

  Say have this piece of code: var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: location, title: 'B&#250;fals', map: map }); This creates a marker as expected but if I hover the mouse over it I don’t see 'Búfals' as I would expect (instead I see the html code). This doesn't make any difference: var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: location, title: unescape('B&#250;fals'), map: map }); Any ideas? Thanks.

I found this link that states where the source code is but I cannot find it in my platform builder installation - I expect this is because it isn't the Windows Automotive platform.   I'm considering picking up some very rudimentary understanding of assembly. My current goal is simple: VERY BASIC understanding of GCC assembler output when compiling C/C++ with the -S switch. Just enough to do simple things such as looking at a single function and verifying whether GCC optimizes away things I expect to disappear. Does anyone have/know of a truly concise introduction to assembly, relevant to GCC and specifically for the purpose of reading, and a list of the most important instructions anyone casually reading assembly should know?

  I'm trying to create a mobile website for android. When I set the width of the body to 480px (the width of the screen) the result is about 50% larger than what I expect. It seems that android is scaling what it draws and messing up all my layouts. Does anyone know how to disable this, or work around it? • C++ DLL Export: Decorated/Mangled names

  Created basic C++ DLL and exported names using Module Definition file (MyDLL.def). After compilation I check the exported function names using dumpbin.exe I expect to see: SomeFunction but I see this instead: SomeFunction = SomeFunction@@@23mangledstuff#@@@@ Why? The exported function appears undecorated (especially compared to not using the Module Def file), but what's up with the other stuff? If I use dumpbin.exe against a DLL from any commercial application, you get the clean: SomeFunction and nothing else......

• Is there a way to prevent a string of letters with no spaces from overflowing out of its correspondi

  The question is pretty straight forward, I have tried using a span with rules set to clear:both; and display:block;, at the bottom of each list entry where the text is being inserted in with no luck. I am not really sure what to do on this. I don't expect to many entries with long consecutive letter strings but for example if someone does lolololololol or ahaahahahhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaa for like 100 letters, it will overflow. If anyone can give me a pointer I would really appreciate it.

  We have deployed a .net 4 asp.net site on IIS 6.0. Default.aspx is configured as one of the default document. When we access the site using the following url http://testsite We expect it to render http://testsite/Default.aspx But instead we get 404 Not found error. We did not had this issue when it was deployed on .Net 2.0. Only thing that has changed on the server is that we use .Net 4 instead of .Net 2.

  I'm loading pixels from an image which is 32 w by 32 height. The format I'm loading them in is ARGB via java. When I bind this to the video card, I can expect that the video card might use somewhere around 32*32*4 bytes, or 4K. Similarly, 1024 w, 1024 h would be 1024*1024*4 = 4MB. Is my understanding correct? Now I understand where all the memory goes!
