    I'm using the Google Maps API to build a map full of markers, but I want one marker to stand out from the others. The simplest thing to do, I think, would be to change the color of the marker to blue, instead of red. Is this a simple thing to do or do I have to create a whole new icon somehow? If I do have to create a new icon, what's the easiest way to do that?

    Hi - I'm getting JSON-encoded output from another organization's API. In many cases, the output can be either an array of objects (if there are many) or an object (if there's just one). Right now I'm writing tortured code like this: if ( is_array($json['candidateList']['candidate'][0]) ) { foreach ($json['candidateList']['candidate'] as $candidate) { // do something to each object } } else { // do something to the single object } How can I handle it so the "do something" part of my code only appears once and uses a standard syntax?

I have not found any more info in any books or internet. My website download forms has 1000's of pages generated thru script. I want to generate breadcrumb navigation for the pages. Google has refused me Adsense account due to this lack of navigation.

    I'm using a low level native API where I send an unsafe byte buffer pointer to get a c-string value. So it gives me // using byte[255] c_str string s = new string(Encoding.ASCII.GetChars(c_str)); // now s == "heresastring\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0(etc)"; So obviously I'm not doing it right, how I get rid of the excess?

  • Autohide scrollbars when not scrolling in a ListView

    In the new official Twitter app, the scrollbars in all the ListViews the app uses are hidden unless the user is scrolling through the list. When you start scrolling, the scrollbars appear. When you stop, they fade out with an animation until they are gone completely. I can't seem to find anything in the documentation that indicates this as being a standard feature. Is this something included in the API? If not, anyone know how this might be done?

  • Check whether a folder is a local or a network resource in .NET

    Is there a quick way to check whether a path I have is on a local disk or somewhere on the network? I can't just check to see if it's a drive letter vs. UNC, because that would incorrectly identify mapped drives as local. I assumed it would be a boolean in the DirectoryInfo object, but it appears that it's not. I've found classic VB code to do this check (through an API), but nothing for .NET so far.

    Hi All, I am building a set of chart displays, one of which is for a month display of daily trading - that is, one point of data per day (closing). Since there is no trade during weekends and holidays, I need to discard these data points. Not only that, but data points should still appear adjacent to each other, regardless of any gaps in time. This can be seen in any such chart e.g. in the 3 month graph for Nasdaq on Yahoo Finance - see how weekends are skipped. My question is: how should one correctly implement this in JFreeChart? I went through Rails api and found becomes(klass).For now there is not association between a Post and Comment. So i tried @post.becomes(Comment). but becomes method could not be found for @post object. Am i missing something ?
