"Ghost" values in PHP/Smarty.

I've been working on a site for a while changing the layout and skin of a webshop checkout process. I've noticed that if you go all the way through the process until the last page, then click the link to go back to the view products page, the delivery method price displays underneath the navigation buttons, until you refresh and it goes away again. I've downloaded both sourced from the browser (Chrome, but this bug applies to all browsers) and used a file difference tool to display the differences, the result being only: < error.html vs > normal.html 34c34 < <link href="gzip.php?file=167842c1496093fbcd391b41cf7b03da.css&time=1272272181" rel="Stylesheet" type="text/css"/> --- > <link href="gzip.php?file=167842c1496093fbcd391b41cf7b03da.css&time=1272272348" rel="Stylesheet" type="text/css"/> Which is just the way it zips up the CSS stylesheets. (afaik) Has anyone ever encountered such a problem, or anything similar? Normal: Error: I can't even hazard a guess as to what is causing this, at all. How to hide an dom element after creating it on the fly with Jquery ?

I am trying to build a form where users can add a text field by clicking on a "add option" button. They can also remove added fields by a "remove option" link created on the fly by Jquery, along with the text field. My code looks like this : $(document).ready(function(){ $("#add_option").click(function(){ var form = $("form"); var input_field = '<input type="text" />'; var delete_link = '<a href="#">remove</a>'; form.append(input_field + delete_link); return false; }); $("a").click(function(){ alert('clicked'); return false; }); }); This code is not working : when I click on the "add_option" button, a new text field and the "delete_link" appear. But when clicking on the "delete_link" created by JQuery, the browser follows the link instead of launching a pop-up displaying "clicked". Any idea ? Thanks !

How to get number of bytes read from QTextStream

The following code I am using to find the number of read bytes from QFile. With some files it gives the correct file size, but with some files it gives me a value that is approximatively fileCSV.size()/2. I am sending two files that have same number of characters in it, but have different file sizes link text. Should i use some other objects for reading the QFile? Hi there I'm in the midst of a university project and have decided to implement a method that can accept information from a text file (in this instance called "locations.txt"). input from the text file will look like this: London 345 456 Madrid 234 345 Beinjing 345 456 Frankfurt 456 567 The function looks like this currently (and you will notice I am missing the While condition to finish adding input when reaches end of text in locations.txt, i tried using eof but this didnt work?!). I am generating a table dynamically using Django. The same table template is used to generate a variety of tables depending on the data supplied. In one scenario a particular column contains image tags. Since my table is editable (using jquery) the image cell also becomes editable and removes my content. I want some special behavior on double click of such cells like say upload an image. How do I accomplish this with a jquery? Stop writing blank line at the end of CSV file (using MATLAB)

Hello all ... I'm using MATLAB to open a batch of CSV files containing column headers and data (using the 'importdata' function), then I manipulate the data a bit and write the headers and data to new CSV files using the 'dlmwrite' function. I'm using the '-append' and 'newline' attributes of 'dlmwrite' to add each line of text/data on a new line. Each of my new CSV files has a blank line at the end, whereas this blank line was not there before when I read in the data ... and I'm not using 'newline' on my final call of 'dlmwrite'. Does anyone know how I can keep from writing this blank line to the end of my CSV files? Thanks for your help, Grant EDITED 5/18/10 1:35PM CST - Added information about code and text file per request ... you'll notice after performing the procedure below that there appears to be a carriage return at the end of the last line in the new text file. How to fix a slow scrolling table view

LINQ - Splitting up a string with maximum length, but not chopping words apart.

I have a simple LINQ Extension Method... public static IEnumerable<string> SplitOnLength(this string input, int length) { int index = 0; while (index < input.Length) { if (index + length < input.Length) yield return input.Substring(index, length); else yield return input.Substring(index); index += length; } } This takes a string, and it chops it up into a collection of strings that do not exceed the given length. This works well - however I'd like to go further. It chops words in half. I don't need it to understand anything complicated, I just want it to be able to chop a string off 'early' if cutting it at the length would be cutting in the middle of text (basically anything that isn't whitespace). However I suck at LINQ, so I was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to go about this. I know what I am trying to do, but I'm not sure how to approach it. So let's say I have the following text. This is a sample block of text that I would pass through the string splitter. I call this method SplitOnLength(6) I would get the following. This i s a sa mple b lock o f text that I would pass t hrough the s tring splitt er. I would rather it be smart enough to stop and look more like .. This is a sample // bad example, since the single word exceeds maximum length, but the length would be larger numbers in real scenarios, closer to 200. Can anyone help me?

Asynchronous javascript issue

I am trying to create a function which takes values from various html elements of the page to create a string and pass on to a variable. now this works great for all browsers except IE 8 and 9. How do I submit the form only after the validateUsername function completes? C# textbox cursor positioning

Keyboard not dismissed

I am developing a messaging application that have SMS.app-like UI. Conversation screen has text input field at the bottom which is moved up with keyboard. Tapping on conversation area dismisses keyboard by calling resignFirstResponder method on UITextView that we use. This usually works fine, but users report a weird bug which I can't reproduce and fix. People say that sometimes onscreen keyboard doesn't go away when they tap on conversation area, though text input field loses input focus. Once the view enters that abnormal state users are able to type with keyboard, but text that is being entered is not visible anywhere. This bug happens in one of conversation views and since then no one text input field in other views doesn't work as expected. The only way to stop this weird behavior is killing application from multitasking bar. Even more weird thing is that keyboard stays visible while navigating between view controllers in UINavigationController. I noticed two things: - if tap on ' Anyone else experiencing same problems. Error 1009 after gotoAndStop - stage instance never gets added

I've been through the forums for hours (days?) searching on 1009 errors, but I remain stumped on this. It seems very mysterious and I would LOVE some help if you have any ideas. I have a single .swf that is 7 frames long - each frame represents a different "page" and you can switch pages through a menu widget in the top right corner. The menu widget calls gotoAndPlay( "frame" ). Everything works fine except when I switch from one particular frame to another. Then, during initialization of the new frame (setting some visible properties on various items, in actionscript), I get the dreaded 1009 error on a specific stage instance, a dynamic text instance i_word. Here's what I've tried so far: made sure the actionscript for the new frame starts with a stop() statement before starting initialization - no dice tried changing i_word into a movie_clip instead of dynamic text, made sure it was exported for actionscript - no difference. (I also have 2 other dynamic text instances on the same page that don't seem to cause a problem) added an ENTER_FRAME listener when the new frame is loaded, in case the problem was a timing issue. Put in a big if statement checking if i_word and other instances are not null before proceeding to initialization. It never enters the if, because i_word NEVER gets added. I added trace statements for all instances that are null, and it is the only one. If I remove all references to i_word in my actionscript, everything else is not null, and things go forward. The text for i_word even shows up on the screen in that case. tried renaming i_word - no dice tried deleting the layer i_word was on and adding a new layer - no dice It feels like there is a serious Gremlin in my flash file somewhere. Or maybe I'm missing something obvious. Let me know if you have any ideas...I'd be so grateful. Thank you! Elambda
