• Grouping Categorized Data In WPF.

  Here is what I am trying to do. Dynamic Category: Columns can be 0 or more. Must contain 1 or more Type Columns. Will only be displayed if any row contains Type Column data associated with it. Data Rows: Will be added Asynchronously. Will be grouped by a Common Category column. Will add a Dynamic Category if it does not yet exist. Will add a Type Column if it does not yet exist within its appropriate Dynamic Category. Platform Info: WPF .Net 3.5 sp1 C# MVVM I have a few partially functional prototypes, but each has it's own major set of problems. Can any of you give me some guidance on this? I have looked at nested ListViews and DataGrids, dynamically building a Grid. Dynamically building a Grid and leveraging the SharedSizeGroup property seems the most promising strategy, but I am concerned about performance.   After hours and hours trying to do this, I need your help. I have to models : Project and Task. A project hasMany tasks and a task belong to a project. Everyting works well if you don't use a store to save these models. I want to save both tasks and projects in two stores (TaskStore and ProjectStore). These stores use a LocalStorage proxy. • SWIG: From Plain C++ to working Wrapper

I've been trying to create a SWIG wrapper for this tiny little C++ class for the better part of 3 hours with no success, so I was hoping one of you out there could lend me a small hand. My steps were Create an example.i file Compile original alongside example_wrap.cxx (no linking) link resulting object files together Create a little java test file (see below) javac all .java files there and run Well steps 4 and 5 have created a host of problems for me, starting with the basic ( library 'example' not found due to not being in java's path ) to the weird ( library not found even unless LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to something, even if it's nothing at all).   I'm trying to use Entity Framework for the first time on one of my projects. I'm using the code first workflow to automatically create my database. Intitaly setting up the database worked fine. Now I'm trying to migrate changes in my classes into the database. The tutorial I'm reading says I need to run "Enable-Migrations" in the package manager console. Yet when I do this I get the following error PM> Enable-Migrations System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: Unable to load one or more of the requested types.   I'm using JavaScript Prototype (through Ruby on Rails) to handle some Ajax calls; but in one particular case I'm missing a field from the form.   Suppose I have a value for which I have a default, which can be overridden if System.getProperty("foo") is set. I have one module for which I have bindConstant().annotatedWith(Names.named("Default foo")).to(defaultValue); I'm wondering what the best way of implementing a module for which I want to bind something annotated with "foo" to System.getProperty("foo"), or, if it does not exist, the "Default foo" binding. I've thought of a simple module like so: public class SimpleIfBlockModule extends AbstractModule { @Override public void configure() { requireBinding(Key.get(String.class, Names.named("Default foo"))); if (System.getProperties().containsKey("foo")) { bindConstant().annotatedWith(Names.named("foo")).to(System.getProperty("foo")); } else { bind(String.class).annotatedWith(Names.named("foo")).to(Key.get(String.class, Names.named("Default foo"))); } } } I've also considered creating a "system property module" like so: public class SystemPropertyModule extends PrivateModule { @Override public void configure() { Names.bindProperties(binder(), System.getProperties()); if (System.getProperties().contains("foo")) { expose(String.class).annotatedWith(Names.named("foo")); } } } And using SystemPropertyModule to create an injector that a third module, which does the binding of "foo". Both of these seem to have their downsides, so I'm wondering if there is anything I should be doing differently. I was hoping for something that's both injector-free and reasonably generalizable to multiple "foo" attributes. Any ideas?

  I'm ajaxing over to this php file. $a = 'old'; $b = 'new'; if ($_POST['info-type'] == $a || $b) { $info = $_POST['info-type']; $query = "SELECT * FROM `tld` WHERE type = '".$var."'"; } $query = "SELECT * FROM `tld` "; $result = mysqli_query($link,$query); while($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($result)) { echo '<div>'.$row['something'].'</div>'; } The data posted is either 'all' 'new' or 'old'. If i send the data as either new or old, the script works and outputs as expected. If the posted data is neither new or old but all instead, it fails and don't show any errors or respond anything back. (I've monitored via dev tools aswell) So, I tried this if ($_POST['info-type'] == $a || $b) { $info = $_POST['info-type']; $var = "SELECT * FROM `tld` WHERE type = '".$var."'"; } elseif ($_POST['info-type'] == 'all'){ $query = "SELECT * FROM `tld` "; } But the script still fails. If i fully remove the IF statements and use the query without the WHERE clause like it is after the elseif, it works?

  Hello, The C standard (5.1.2.2.1 Program startup) says: The function called at program startup is named main. [...] It shall be de?ned with a return type of int and with no parameters: int main(void) { /* ... */ } or with two parameters [...] : int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { /* ... */ } And later says: The value of argc shall be nonnegative. Why shouldn't argc be defined as an unsigned int, argc supposedly meaning 'argument count'? Should argc be used as an index for argv? So I started wondering if the C standard says something about the type of array's index. Is it signed? 6.5.2.1 Array subscripting: One of the expressions shall have type ‘‘pointer to object type’’, the other expression shall have integer type, and the result has type ‘‘type’’. It doesn't say anything about its signedness (or I didn't find it). It is pretty common to see codes using negatives array indexes (array[-1]) but isn't it undefined behavior? Should array's indexes be unsigned?

I'm trying to do: after button click add new row(I do it) and replace previous row Html Elements(input type=text, textarea, select, input type=text, /[input type="checkbox" must be safe]) with its own values. And after if i click on row(anyrow), i want to rollback previous operation. i.e. replace texts with html element. and htmlElement.val()=text. • Where do I control the behavior of the "X" close button in the upper right of a winform?

  I'm venturing into making my VB.NET application a little better to use by making some of the forms modeless. I think I've figured out how to use dlg.Show() and dlg.Hide() instead of calling dlg.ShowDialog(). I have an instance of my modeless dialog in my main application form: Public theModelessDialog As New dlgModeless To fire up the modeless dialog I call theModelessDialog.Show() and within the OK and Cancel button handlers in dlgModeless I have Private Sub OK_Button_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles OK_Button.Click Me.DialogResult = System.Windows.Forms.DialogResult.OK Me.Hide() End Sub Private Sub Cancel_Button_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Cancel_Button.Click Me.DialogResult = System.Windows.Forms.DialogResult.Cancel Me.Hide() End Sub and that seems to work fine. The "X" button in the upper right is getting me, though. When I close the form with that button, then try to reopen the form, I get ObjectDisposedException was unhandled. Cannot access a disposed object. I feel like I'm most of the way there but I can't figure out how to do either of the following: Hide that "X" button Catch the event so I don't dispose of the object (just treat it like I hit Cancel) Any ideas? The class of this dialog is System.Windows.Forms.Form. Thanks as always!

  I have a basic quiz/survey type application I'm working on, and I'd like to give the user a prompt before they submit if they haven't answered all the questions. All the questions are multiple choice using radio buttons: <div class="question"> Q1: What is the second letter of the alphabet? <div class="choices"> <input type="radio" name="question_1" value="1" /> A <input type="radio" name="question_1" value="2" /> B <input type="radio" name="question_1" value="3" /> C </div> </div> <div class="question"> Q2: Which out of these is a berry? <div class="choices"> <input type="radio" name="question_2" value="1" /> Apples <input type="radio" name="question_2" value="2" /> Bananas <input type="radio" name="question_2" value="3" /> Carrots </div> </div> <div class="question"> ...etc How do you find which groups haven't got an option ticked? Or at least, if there are any which haven't been answered? jQuery is ok, and even preferred.

• Writing a generic function that can take a Writer as well as an OutputStream

  I wrote a couple of functions that look like this: def myWrite(os: OutputStream) = {} def myWrite(w: Writer) = {} Now both are very similar and I thought I would try to write a single parametrized version of the function. I started with a type with the two methods that are common in the Java OutputStream and Writer: type Writable[T] = { def close() : Unit def write(cbuf: Array[T], off: Int, len: Int): Unit } One issue is that OutputStream writes Byte and Writer writes Char, so I parametrized the type with T. Then I write my function: def myWrite[T, A[T] <: Writable[T]](out: A[T]) = {} and try to use it: val w = new java.io.StringWriter() myWrite(w) Result: <console>:9: error: type mismatch; found : java.io.StringWriter required: ?A[ ?T ] Note that implicit conversions are not applicable because they are ambiguous: both method any2ArrowAssoc in object Predef of type [A](x: A)ArrowAssoc[A] and method any2Ensuring in object Predef of type [A](x: A)Ensuring[A] are possible conversion functions from java.io.StringWriter to ?A[ ?T ] myWrite(w) I tried a few other combinations of types and parameters, to no avail so far. My question is whether there is a way of achieving this at all, and if so how. (Note that the implementation of myWrite will need, internally, to know the type T that parametrizes the write() method, because it needs to create a buffer as in new ArrayT.)

  using richtextbox control programatically i'm appending text to the richtextbox . richTextBox1.AppendText("hello"); somehow the text appears in the richTextBox1.Text but is not shown in the form. any idea of what might be the problem? (I checked the forecolor seems ok).   Note that the _src inherit IQueryable<U> and V inherit new(); I wrote the following statement, there is no syntax error. IQueryable<V> a = from s in _src where (s.Right - 1 == s.Left) select new V(); But if i re-wrote it as follows, the Visual Studio editor complains an error in the "Select" IQueryable<V> d = _src.Where(s => s.Right - 1 == s.Left).Select(s=> new V()); The Error is: The type arguments cannot be inferred from the usage. Try specifying the type arguments explicitly.   I have a workflow associated with a content type. I try to kick it off from code from within the event receiver on the same content type, so when an item is updated, if there is a certain condition (status = ready for review) I start it. //This line does find the workflow association var assoc = properties.Web.ContentTypes["Experiment Document Set"].WorkflowAssociations.GetAssociationByName("Experiment Review Workflow", ultureInfo.CurrentUICulture); //I had tried to use this line from something I found online, but it would return null //var assoc = properties.Web.WorkflowAssociations.GetAssociationByName("Experiment Review Workflow", CultureInfo.CurrentUICulture); var result = properties.Web.Site.WorkflowManager.StartWorkflow(properties.ListItem, assoc, string.Empty, SPWorkflowRunOptions.Synchronous); //The line above gives me this error: System.ArgumentException: Workflow failed to start because the workflow is associated with a content type that does not exist in a list. Before re-starting the workflow, the content type must be added to the list. To check this, I was looking at the content type of the list item being updated and it is correct properties.ListItem.ContentType.Name "Experiment Document Set" So basically I have a workfow associated with the content type "Experiment Document Set". When I try to start a workflow from an event receiver in "Experiment Document Set", I get an error saying the content type "Experiment Document Set" does not exist in the list which doesn't make sense.
