• Failure with LogonUser in MC++

  After fighting with this for a week I have not really gotten anywhere in why it constantly fails in my code, but not in other examples. My code, which while it compiles, will not log into a user that I know has the correct login information. Where it fails is the following line: wi = gcnew WindowsIdentity(token); It fails here because the token is zero, meaning that it was never set to a user token.   In the OpenSocial Data specificaiton 1.0 for a Person object (social profile data) it includes the use of a generic called Plural-Field. The spec can be found at: http://opensocial-resources.googlecode.com/svn/spec/1.0/Social-Data.xml#Person In the 1.0 data specification there is no XSD and no examples showing the use of this generic Plural-Field. After puzzeling the spec for some time I think I might understand the user of this generic. I was hoping that someone could confirm or correct my understanding. For example the accounts field is a generic Plural-Field<Account> while the activities field is Plural-Field <string>. This has been doing this but since a few days ago has started to generate a black mono output.   Hi, I am working on a device that installs an embedded linux system. I want to remote monitor the application running on that device using JConsole. However, when I set the property for JMX Agent like -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=8010, the system produced an error "the file management.properties does not exist". It seems that the Java installed on this embedded linux system does not include the JMX service yet. Anyone has some ideas that how can I install JMX service on such system, please? Thanks

  I've been developing a Sharepoint web part, which had been working fine upon deployment. The web part has been developed with WSP Builder, packaged up and then deployed via stsadm. The web part has been deployed tens, if not a hundred times to the dev box with no problems.   Hi I'm making a website using JSP and servlets and I have to now break up a list of radio buttons to insert a textarea and a button. I have got the button and textarea to hide and show when you click on the radio button it shows the text area and button. Then I have to validate those fields, and add the values of the checkboxes if they are selected. One of the textboxes asking for how many semesters attended, and 3 checkboxes with value of 100, 1000, and 750. There are 2 sections for each type: "Internet" and "Enterprise".   I’m trying to write some encryption code that is passed through a Url. For the sake of the issue I’ve excluded the actual encryption of the data and just shown the code causing the problem. I take a salt value, convert it to a byte array and then convert that to a base64 string. This string I concatenate to another base64 string (which was previously a byte array). These two base64 strings are then Url encoded. This is generated because the base64Salt variable contains an invalid character (I’m guessing a line termination) but I can’t seem to strip it off.

• Can output from OutputDebugString be viewed in VisualStudio's output window

  I am using C# and VS2010. When I use OutputDebugString to write debug information, should it show up in the output window? I can see the output from OutputDebugString in DebugView, but I thought I would see it in Visual Studio's Output window. I have looked under Tools-Options-Debugging-General and the output is NOT being redirected to the Immediate window. I have also looked under Tools-Options-Debugging-Output Window and all General Output Settings are set to "On". Finally, I have used the drop-down list in the Output window to specify that Debug messages should appear. If I change Tools-Options-Debugging-General to redirect the output to the Immediate window, the OutputDebugString messages do not appear in the immediate window. Ultimately, my intent is not to write a lot of debug output with OutputDebugString, rather I will use System.Diagnostics or NLog or something similar. I am just trying to find out, if I configure a logging platform to write to OutputDebugString, will the output be visible from within the debugger. Edit: I went back to my original program (not the simple test above) which uses TraceSources and TraceListeners configured via the app.config file. If I configure the trace sources to write to the System.Diagnostics.DefaultTraceListener (which is documented as writing to OutputDebugString), then the trace source output DOES go to the debug window. However, lines that write directly with OutputDebugString (such as in my simple example) DO NOT go to the debug window. Also, if I use a different TraceListener that writes to OutputDebugString (I got one from Ukadc.Diagnostics at codeplex), that output DOES NOT go to the debug window. Event validation is enabled using in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" % in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation. Can any one let me know on where I am going wrong?
