• android maps: How to Long Click a Map?

  Hi. How do I long click on a mapview so that a place marker appears at that point on the map? I tried a couple ways without success: 1) Using setOnLongClickListener on the MapvView which never detected the longclicks. 2) My other idea was to extend MapView to override dispatchTouchEvent .. Create a GestureDetector to respond to longpress callback. But I was stuck midway here as I could not get a handle to my subclassed Mapview. i.e. MyMapview mymapview; //MyMapView extends MapView mymapView = (MyMapView) findViewById(R.id.map); //results in a classcast exception 3) The only other way I know how to try this is: Detect a MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN and post a delayed runnable to a handler and detect longpress if the two other events: acton_move or an action_up, have not happened.   The below web services code has worked properly for me for over a year. We have updated our SharePoint servers, and now the below code throws an exception (at the bottom line of code) "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" UserProfileWS.UserProfileService userProfileService = new UserProfileWS.UserProfileService(); userProfileService.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultNetworkCredentials; string serviceloc = "/_vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx"; userProfileService.Url = _webUrl + serviceloc; UserProfileWS.PropertyData[] info = userProfileService.GetUserProfileByName(null); EDIT: The service is still there. I browse http:///_vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx, and the information for the service is still there, including the full description of the GetUserProfileByName call. EDIT2: This does appear to be due to a change in SharePoint. I loaded a previous version of my software (known to be working), and it exhibits the same erroneous behavior.

• Creating static NAT blocks outbound traffic Cisco ASA

  Hi Everyone, I have two web servers sitting behind a Cisco ASA 5505, which I don't have much experience with. I'm trying to create two static NATs. One static NAT that goes to xx.xx.xx.150 and another that goes to xx.xx.xx.151. I've created the static NAT for the .150 web server and it works FINE. Incoming and outgoing traffic work great. This is the staging web server. I now need to duplicate the setup for the production web server. So, I connect the webserver to the firewall, change the public IP address on one of the NICs reboot the server and I have outbound internet access. Then I run the command: static (inside,outside) xx.xx.xx.150 192.168.1.x which is successful. I then run the command: access-list acl-outside permit tcp any host xx.xx.xx.150 eq 80 Which is successful. I then try to browse the internet and I get nothing. I try to telnet in through port 80 and I get nothing (though I'm guessing because the response to the telnet request is being blocked). I've tried this with the production web server and then I tried it with another web server that is for internal testing and have the exact same problem. Both work fine until I run the static NAT rule and then no outbound internet access. I have a feeling that it's something simple that I'm missing, but my limited experience with this device is killing me. Below I've pasted the current configuration. I'm currently trying to get this to work on the .153 server which is the internal testing server. • How to do Selection Alignment using the RichTextBox in Silverlight 4?

  I cannot seem to figure out how to do a Selection Alignment in the new RichTextBox, I have an idea that I need to convert the selection into the Paragraph type which supports alignment, but cannot seem to figure this out. None of the Silverlight examples have this, but I'm sure it is possible. I have this code, that does not work - as I think I need the selection to be a Paragraph as it always returns and Exception "Value does not fall within the expected range".   I'm trying to compile a Flex application in Ant (no problems here, I can do it fine). When I try to publish the contents of the project to a Windows network drive (known as "Z:\" on my system), I get the following LAME exception thrown by Java/Ant: BUILD FAILED C:\workspace\bkeller\build.xml:42: Failed to copy C:\workspace\bkeller\web\assets\text\biography.html to Z:\web\bkeller\assets\text\biography.html due to java.io.FileNotFoundException Z:\web\bkeller\assets\text\biography.html (The system cannot find the file specified) Which kind of sucks. I can't find any way to get rid of this problem and it's pretty crucial to my project that I get this working. I know for sure that I have read/write/execute permissions on the network drive, I can create/edit/delete files on the drive just fine through Windows explorer. Drive Z is a network mount to virtualbox, allowing me to get access to my host OS, Ubuntu. I've double checked that it has write permissions. Any ideas?

  I have the column DateTimeExpired, and I would like to create another column called "Expired" which will show "Yes" or "No" according to the expiration date - "Yes" if the date has already passed. I wrote this: DataColumn colExpirationDate = new DataColumn("DateTimeExpired", typeof(DateTime)); DataColumn colExpired = new DataColumn("Expired", typeof(string), "IIF(DateDiff(DateTimeExpired, date())>= 0,'No','Yes')"); But I get an exception "The expression contains undefined function call DateDiff()." (please note that I always want to get the row, no matter if it's expired or not) How do I set the column's text to the correct form? Thanks!

In a search function, I need to create a Linq To Entities (L2E) query with a "where" clause that compare several strings with the data in the database with these rules : The comparison is a "Contains" mode, not strict compare : easy as the string's Contains() method is allowed in L2E The comparison must be case insensitive : I use ToLower() on both elements to perform an insensitive comparison. All of this performs really well but I ran into the following Exception : "Argument data type ntext is invalid for argument 1 of lower function" on one of my fields. It seems that the field is a NText field and I can't perform a ToLower() on that. What could I do to be able to perform a case insensitive Contains() on that NText field ?

  Hi, I am getting Out of Memory error: Memory Exception in thread "main" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space at org.apache.xerces.dom.CoreDocumentImpl.createElement(CoreDocumentImpl.java:564) I have a standalone Java program which fetches data from DB and create an XML file using DOM. I get the above error if the data fetched is huge, in my case it is 1,000,000 records. I have defined 2GB as heap size while calling the Java class from unix. I tried it with JAXB, but still do not any significant improvement. Any suggestions how to improve the code.

  I'm using Validation Application Block - Enterprise Library to validate parameters sent to my WCF Service operations. For instance, a certain operation requires the parameter to either be a 1 or 6, like so: [OperationContract(Name="GetEmployeesByRegion")] [FaultContract(typeof(ValidationFault))] List<Employees> GetEmployeesByRegion([DomainValidator(1,6)]int regionId); This works just fine i.e the validation fault occurs however, when the service is invoked by the client, a generic System.ServiceModel.FaultException is thrown. An the message indicates: "The creator of this fault did not specify a reason." Now, I could check the parameters myself before the service cal and throw a custom fault but that seems to defeat the purpose of attribute based validation of parameters using the Validation Application Block. Is there anyway to customize the error returned by the validation Fault? It is also possible I'm doing something completely wrong. I just want the caller to know that he/she should have passed in a 1 or 6 in the exception message. Is this possible?

• Django CMS malfunction: Site matching query does not exist

  I've installed all apps in a project, then added a site in the sites section, and deleted example.com. Now Pages section in Django CMS 2.0 isn't working: it raises a DoesNotExist exception: Site matching query does not exist. at http://127.0.0.1:8000/admin/cms/page/ The section worked normally before I deleted the example.com site. In settings.py I have SITE_ID = 2 line. Still, in this call: return Site.objects.get(pk=site_pk) in traceback, site_pk=1. How can I fix this?

  Hello, I am using windows script host for some kind of installer application and I'm creating shortcuts in start menu with it. This problem came up when I switched to x64 environment (win7 ultimate x64+vs2010) I added a reference to Windows Script Host Object Model (from c:\windows\syswow64\wshom.ocx), it generated Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary dll. I added 'using IWshRuntimeLibrary;' to my .cs files, but when I tried to create WshShell sh = new WshShellClass(); it throws an exception: Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies.   I'm having a problem with a dropdown menu under IE (6 and 7). http://www.amaconsulting.pl/promocje.html As you can see, the dropdown hides behind the main content area in IE. It's a known bug and general advice is to set a z-index for header and content areas, so IE knows their "place", explained in the article here: http://bit.ly/coSPcI I've set the z-index of .header div to 20 and .featured, .content, .primary, .main to 1, trying to find the right div to fix the problem. While the dropdown stopped hiding behind the .featured div, it still hides behind the main content divs (either .primary or .main, .secondary is fine). The z-indexes for these divs are set in a separate stylesheet, ie.css, in case someone'll be looking for them. If someone could provide some advice, I'd be very grateful.

  I'm trying to set up Eclipse to run and deploy my projects to a Jetty 7 server (the oldest version available from http://download.eclipse.org/jetty/). I've downloaded Jetty 7 and unpacked it, and I've installed the Jetty plugin from the available server adapters list, but when I try to configure a new Jetty server, the server type list only contains "Jetty 6". In most cases, I tend to use concrete types as the return type for methods. because I believe that an concrete type is more flexible for further use and exposes more functionality. The dark side of this: Coupling. The angelic one: A concrete type contains per-se the interface you would going to return initially, and extra functionality. What's your thumb's rule?
