  • How do I delete duplicates between two excel sheets quickly vba

    I am using vba and I have two sheets one is named "Do Not Call" and has about 800,000 rows of data in column A. I want to use this data to check column I in the second sheet, named "Sheet1". If it finds a match I want it to delete the whole row in "Sheet1". I have tailored the code I have found from a similar question here: Excel formula to Cross reference 2 sheets, remove duplicates from one sheet and ran it but nothing happens. I am not getting any errors but it is not functioning.   • MVC3 Custom view engine

    I have a custom View Engine that derives from WebFormViewEngine. There's a lot of stuff going on in here, mostly caching. I want to be able to use WebFormViewEngine AND RazorViewEngine at the same time, is this possible? Ideally I'd like to do; ViewEngines.Add(new MyViewEngine<WebFormsViewEngine>()); ViewEngines.Add(new MyViewEngine<RazorViewEngine>()); if a .ascx/.aspx/.master file exists then use WebForms, otherwise use Razor is a .cshtml file exists. EDIT: I should of worded my question better. As my custom view engine derives from WebFormViewEngine it obviously uses WebForms, I can't derive from two classes. I can derive from RazorViewEngine but then I'll loose WebForms. I can duplicate my code entirely, derive from RazorViewEngine and edit the views file extensions, etc. but as I said I've got a lot of custom code in my view engine and would be duplicating hundreds of lines. WebFormViewEngine and RazorViewEngine derive from BuildManagerViewEngine which in turn implements IViewEngine. The problem with that is I have to implement methods CreatePartialView() and CreateView() but how would I know what to return (WebForms/Razor?) using generics?

  • jQuery/Javascript Cookies and variable returning with value [object Object]

    I am attempting to set a cookie to a site using jQuery, ONLY if the user came from a specific site. In this case, lets use -http://referrersite.com- as the site they must come from for the cookie to be created as an example. The cookie value is being stored in a variable and everything up to this point is working fine. There is a conditional statement checking whether the user came from the referred site, if the cookie exists already and if the cookie doesn't exist and the user did not come from the referred site. If the user came from the referred site the cookie is created and stored in a variable. If the cookie already exists, it is then stored in a variable. If the cookie does not exist and the user did not come from the referred site I am assigning the variable a static string of characters - this is where the issue lies. When the variable is alerted from the non referred site and no existing cookie, it returns: [object Object], not the static string of characters.   • Python: Parsing a colon delimited file with various counts of fields

    I'm trying to parse a a few files with the following format in 'clientname'.txt hostname:comp1 time: Fri Jan 28 20:00:02 GMT 2011 ip:xxx.xxx.xx.xx fs:good:45 memory:bad:78 swap:good:34 Mail:good Each section is delimited by a : but where lines 0,2,6 have 2 fields... lines 1,3-5 have 3 or more fields. (A big issue I've had trouble with is the time: line, since 20:00:02 is really a time and not 3 separate fields. I have several files like this that I need to parse. There are many more lines in some of these files with multiple fields. ... for i in clients: if os.path.isfile(rpt_path + i + rpt_ext): # if the rpt exists then do this rpt = rpt_path + i + rpt_ext l_count = 0 for line in open(rpt, "r"): s_line = line.rstrip() part = s_line.split(':') print part l_count = l_count + 1 else: # else break break First I'm checking if the file exists first, if it does then open the file and parse it (eventually) As of now I'm just printing the output (print part) to make sure it's parsing right. Honestly, the only trouble I'm having at this point is the time: field. How can I treat that line specifically different than all the others? The time field is ALWAYS the 2nd line in all of my report files.

  • Waiting for thread to finish Python

    Alright, here's my problem. I have a thread that creates another thread in a pool, applies async so I can work with the returned data, which is working GREAT. But I need the current thread to WAIT until the result is returned. Here is the simplified code, as the current script is over 300 lines. My problem is everytime new data comes in, it seems that the ## CREATE LIST function is called multiple times if similar data comes in quickly enough. So I'm ending up with many lists of the same name when I have code in place to ensure that a list will never be created if the name already exists. So to reiterate: How do I make this thread wait on the function to complete before accepting new data / continuing. I don't think time.sleep() works because on_success is called when data enters the stream. I don't think Thread.Join() will work either since I have to use a ThreadPool.apply_async to receive the data I need. Is there a hack I can make in the MyStreamer class somehow? I'm kind of at a loss here. Am I over complicating things and can this be simplified to do what I want?

  • Reading/Writing/Modifying a struct in C

    I am taking some information from a user (name, address, contact number) and store it in a struct. I then store this in a file which is opened in "r+" mode. I try reading it line by line and see if the entry I am trying to enter already exists, in which case I exit. Otherwise I append this entry at the end of the file. The problem is that when I open the file in "r+" mode, it gives me Segmentation fault! Here is the code: struct cust{ char *frstnam; char *lastnam; char *cntact; char *add; }; Now consider this function. I am passing a struct of information in this function.     I am looking an android Shared Preferences and I am wondering is there a way to just check if the preferences file exists. SharedPreferences mySharedPreferences ; mySharedPreferences=getSharedPreferences(“Name_of_your_preference”,mode); This above code leads me to believe that "Name_of_Your_preferene" is stored as a file or some sort of container that will contain your preferences. I am wondering is there away to check if this exists or not. When a user loads up an activity I want to save all the settings into this file with some default values(off for all settings). However I only want to do this if they are going to the page for the first time. Otherwise if I would do something like this every time the page loads up SharedPreferences.Editor editor= mySharedPreferences.edit(); /* now store your primitive type values. In this case it is true, 1f and Hello! World */ editor.putBolean(“myBoolean”,true); editor.putFloat(“myFloat”,1f); editor.putString(“myString”,” Hello! World”); I am guessing it would override all settings even ones they set.

    When I try to convert a physical ISA/TMG machine to virtual using SCVMM, i keep getting an error in the Collect machine configuration step ('Scan Now' button): VMM is unable to complete the request. The connection to the agent MACHINE_NAME was lost. Ensure that the computer MACHINE_NAME exists on the network, WMI service and the agent are installed and running and that a firewall is not blocking HTTP and WMI traffic. ID: 3157 Details: The RPC server is unavailable (0x800706BA) Firewall rules allow for RPC traffic from the SCVMM machine to ISA/TMG machine.

    I am trying to get logrotate running on a FreeBSD 8.1 virtual machine. But apparently, there exists a couple of websites on the Internet that are able to list all the domains registered in a namerserver. For example: http://www.gwebtools.com/ns-spy/udns1.ultradns.net Or all domains pointing to a specific IP : http://www.robtex.com/ip/190.7.200.92.html (These DNS/IP were picked at random) Do you know how it's done ?

  • lftp make-backup not functioning as expected

    With default settings, when 'putting' the file, it is clobbered without complaint or warning. When 'getting' lftp complains: get: super.sh: file already exists and xfer:clobber is unset I change my /etc/lftp.conf and append: set xfer:make-backup yes set xfer:clobber yes When putting and getting, the files get clobbered, however no backup is made. I've checked the settings with "set -a | grep clob" and "set -a | grep backup" and the values are correct.

    In order to try out varnish for an upcoming project I installed it on an ubuntu server using this tutorial: http://varnish-cache.org/wiki/InstallationOnUbuntuDapper The build process worked without any errors, but I cant start the varnish demon. I always get the error message varnishd: error while loading shared libraries: libvarnish.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory But /usr/local/lib/libvarnish.so.1 clearly exists. How can I tell varnish to look in that directory and load the library?

    I'm looking for a user script that lets me fill out some form fields that are not covered by the Magic Wand in Opera. Alternately I could accept a solution that lets Opera accept other form fields with the Wand. To give you one example: when logging into any of the StackExchange sites, I need to manually enter (or enter from a note) the URL of the OpenID provider. I would like to automate this in particular plus several other sites where a similar situation exists.

This works fine for normal music files, but now I am in a situation where I require visulizations for a live audio in feed.     I know the shortcut CRTL + page up/down but I need the similar function that exists eg in internet explorer: Shift + alt I found a macro that is close but does not entirely solve the problem: If ActiveSheet.Name = "To Do" Then Sheets("Budget").Activate ElseIf ActiveSheet.Name = "Budget" Then Sheets("To Do").Activate I can name the A1 cell with the sheet name and use search (f5) and type the name, but this is to cumbersome. Any ideas, guys?

    I type echo $PATH on the command line and get /opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/Users/andrew/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/mysql/bin:/usr/local/pear/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin:/opt/local/bin:/usr/local/git/bin I'm wondering where this is getting set since my .bash_login file is empty. I'm particularly concerned that, after installing MacPorts, it installed a bunch of junk in /opt. I don't think that directory even exists in a normal Mac OS X install. Update: Thanks to jtimberman for correcting my echo $PATH statement
