  • Best cross-language analyzer to use with lucene index

    Hello, I'm looking for feedback on which analyzer to use with an index that has documents from multiple languages. Currently I am using the simpleanalyzer, as it seems to handle the broadest amount of languages. Most of the documents to be indexed will be english, but there will be the occasional double-byte language indexed as well. Are there any other suggestions or should I just stick with the simpleanalyzer. Thanks

  • index seems to be out of sync for jquery .keydown and .click methods

    I'd like to navigate images using both keyboard and mouse (clicking left and right arrow images). I'm using Jquery to do this, but the shared imgIndex seems to be off from the .keydown function and the .click function... Whenever .keydown function -- or ++ the imgIndex, isn't that changed index also used in the click function? My question is this: I have not specified any filter criteria , so how can it use indexes? It should do full scan...right?

    Let's say we have a [Valuations] table containing several values per date and per fund: -FundId -ValDate -Value1 -Value2... The Primary key is obviously FundId+ValDate. I have also indexed the ValDate field since I often query for values on a specific date. My question is: should I also create a specific index for the FundId, or is MsAccess clever enough to use the Primary key when querying on a specific FundId ?

    I have a mysql table of 3 integer fields. None of the fields have a unique value - but the three of them combined are unique. When I query this table, I only search by the first field.     My question is simple (I think it is silly too) ,how can I start the index in an ArrayList from 1 instead of 0 ? is this possible directly (I mean is there a code for this ) ?. So, if I look for all values between "1995-01-01" and "2000-06-01", I should get 1. And similarly for the period "2001-09-01" and "2007-11-04", I should get 2 an 1.
