  hi, i am developing a windows application using C#.net and i am having a combobox with some list items .on selected index changed event of the combo box i need to have the progess bar to be visible and should disappear after retrieving some data. i am trying inthe way: for (int i = progressBar1.Minimum; i <= progressBar1.Maximum; i++) { progressBar1.PerformStep(); } panel1.Visible = false; where my progress bar is placed in panel1. but i am getting the progess bar when i first run my application after that when ever combobox item is changed the progress abr is not visible. i need the solution asap... • Namespace with index action in Rails

  I have an admin controller located inside /controllers/admin/admin_controller.rb I also have a pages controller located inside /controllers/admin/pages_controller.rb In my routes.rb file, I have the following: map.namespace :admin do |admin| admin.resources :pages end When the user goes to localhost:3000/admin, I'd like the user to see a page with a link to /admin/pages (Pages CRUD) and to / (To go back home). Since I am using a namespace, I cannot have an index action for /admin. How would I get this done and still have my controllers located inside my /controllers/admin folder (rather than using admin as a map.resources component and a has_many association to pages). Please note I am only interested in the show action of admin. Thank you!

  Today, I went for an interview and the interviewer asked me how I would find the index of a given value (number) in a pre-sorted array like this: $preSortedArr=array(23,32,36,41,45,54); He also said that using recursion is not allowed. If the user select the required checkbox, it will produce a iframe according to the value of the checkbox and the div will disappear. Its placed immediately below the button. Up to this its working fine. If the user again click the button, the droping div is comes behind the frame. Please help me to make it visible above the frame. However it has been obsolete for some time. Although I can still use it as a plugin, I'm interested if anyone has a better approach.   Hey All I have a database with around 40 tables and need to rename every index column. IE USER a table has a bunch of fields like user_id | user_username | user_password | etc... I want to rename the ID columns just to id ie id | user_username | user_password | etc... But I keep getting mysql errors on the alter table command ie. ALTER TABLE database RENAME COLUMN user_id to id; Plus many different variations. Whats the best way to do this ? Hope you can advise

• II7 integrated mode MVC deploy 404 not found on "non-Index" actions

  Hello. Once deployed parts of my web-application stop working. Index-es on each controller do work, other then that yields 404. I understand that nothing particular should be done in integrated mode. I don't know how to proceed with troubleshooting. Some info: App is using default app pool set to integrated mode. WebApp is done in net framework 3.5. I use default routing model. Along web.config in root there is web.config in /View folder referencing HttpNotFoundHandler. OS is Windows Server 2008.   If i go into the next line with richTextBox1.Text + "\n" you can't use richTextBox with anything anymore normally. Why not ? because index will be outside the bounds of the array and you won't be able to transport the data into database or work with it normally...it will be all messed up. It is like the story with cin and getline in C++, but much worse. Here you won't see errors, not until you'll try to transport it into database. If you use "\n" to write new lines into txt, your txt will be also unusable. It will look like up to the byte the same as if you would write it by hand same sentences but "\n" will fuck it up. So how do i go into the next line and not have this "\n" screwing up my program ??! How do i go into the new line ?

  What I'm planning to do is a) parse a file for some lines matching a regular expression b) store the match in some sort of database / file so I don't have to do the parsing again and again c) call another program passing the matches as arguments While I can imagine how to do a) and c), I'm a little bit unsure about b). The matches are of the form key:attribute1:attribute2:attribute3 where attribute 2 may be optional. I'm thinking of storing the results in a simple database but the problem is the database needs to available on a number of Unix platform for the program to work. Are there any (simple) databases which can be found on any Unix platforms? Or should I use some sort of index-sequential file?

For each value in p_ids, I am looking to list the quantile.   I'm trying a simple internal rewrite with nginx to navigate to a sub-directory depending on the user_agent -- mobile browsers go to /mobile, otherwise they go to /www however it seems that when I rewrite these urls, the index directive is processed before the rewrites, so I end up getting 403 forbidden. # TEST FOR INDEX index index.php # TEST PHONES if ($http_user_agent ~* '(iPhone|iPod)') { rewrite ^(.*)$ /mobile$1 break; } # OTHERWISE WE ARE DONE rewrite ^(.*)$ /www$1 break; when I turn off the re-writes and hit the hostname (http://www.somehost.com/) the index is displayed correctly. • PHP Undefined index - Occuring when the variable has a value in it

  I have the following code that is being used to successfully upload images: $fileName = $_FILES['file']['name']; $fileSize = $_FILES['file']['size']; $fileType = $_FILES['file']['type']; $fileTmp = $_FILES['file']['tmp_name']; list($origWidth, $origHeight) = getimagesize($fileTmp); The catch is I'm getting an 'Undefined index' on each line. I have print_r($_FILES) just before this code and each array variable exists and I've echo out varibles like $fileName and can see each has a value. Also I have put this before this code block and it makes no difference: $fileName = $fileSize = $fileType = $fileTmp = ''; Any suggestions how I can ensure these variables are defined? thankyou

• NGINX rewrite rules help. Redirect not working and want to get rid of index.php in urls

I have 2 questions for nginx users. 1) I'm trying to setup my joomla server onto my new linode running NGINX and after much (like days) of searching and testing, I finally have a config that works with with SEF url plugins...sorta. I was using an apache system on the old server and it used mod_rewrite and life was fine in terms of SEF. Since NGINX doesn't have mod_rewrite, I found something that works BUT it constantly leaves index.php in the urls. ex: http://mysite.com/index.php/forum i want it to be just http://mysite.com/forum but without mod_rewrite it doesn't seem to be possible in joomla that i'm aware of. I know in wordpress it IS possible but I have to use a plugin. I have tried several variations of: rewrite ^/(.*) http://www.example.com/portal/$1 permanent; but it usually ends with firefox telling me there is some crazy loop happening the address bar saying something like mysite.com/portalportalportalportalportal.........on and on. • How do I point a new domain to start on a page that's not index.html on separate hosting?

  I'm using a service (CMS/Host) called SquareSpace to host my site, and today I'm registering the domain for it. Basically, how do I make it so when somebody types www.tedxoxford.com it points at http://www.tedxoxford.com/landing (currently http://tedxoxford.squarespace.com/landing) instead of the default index? Is this possible? Squarespace is quite a restricted CMS and means that your logos etc all point to the index so I don't want people ending up on my landing/splash page every time they want the home page, only on the first time they type in the URL. A dirty hack would be to check the refferer and redirect anyone hitting the index to the landing page, but that's a lot of loading overhead I'd rather avoid...
