• jsFunction pass data to backingbean

  I have a javascript that is calling a function addData(param1,param2,param3,param4) which is calling addClip at the end And I need to pass those to a backing bean. <a4j:form> <a4j:jsFunction name="addClip" action="#{backingBean.goGo}"> <a4j:actionparam name="param1" assignTo="#{backingBean.param1}"/> </a4j:jsFunction> </a4j:form> But I can't seem to pass any values to the backingbean. I've even tried setting a static value for the actionparam. But when I try to do a Systemout on the setParam1 method it only prints out null. Have I missed anything important?

• MacBook Pro Late 2009 SATA Resets, Slowness (Is my motherboard dying on both machines?)

  My MacBook Pro runs slower the longer it's on. I am getting kernel warnings. Some, but not all, resets correlate with AC power connects and disconnects. I don't think the warnings do. (How do I tell?) What are these errors? What causes them? Can this damage the drive or corrupt data?   I am totally confused by a simple Microsoft error message. When I run XSD.exe against an assembly that contains a custom ConfigurationSection (which in turn utilizes a custom ConfigurationElement and a custom ConfigurationElementCollection, as well as several ConfigurationProperties), I get the following error message: Error: There was an error processing 'Olbert.Entity.Utils.dll'. There was an error reflecting type 'Olbert.Entity.DatabaseConnection'. You must implement a default accessor on System.Configuration.ConfigurationLockCollection because it inherits from ICollection. Yet the class in question has a default accessor: public object this[int idx] { get { return null; } set { } } I realize the above doesn't do anything, but I don't need to access the element's properties by index. I'm just trying to work around the error message. So what's going on?

  I have a 10-node DB2 9.5 database, with raw data on each machine (ie node1:/scratch/data/dataset.1 node2:/scratch/data/dataset.2 ... node10:/scratch/data/dataset.10 There is no shared NFS mount - none of my machines could handle all of the datasets combined. each line of a dataset file is a long string of text, column delimited. The first column is the key. I don't know the hash function that DB2 will use, so dataset is not pre-partitioned. Short of renaming all of my files, is there any way to get DB2 to load them all in parallel? I'm trying to do something like load from '/scratch/data/dataset' of del modified by coldel| fastparse messages /dev/null replace into TESTDB.data_table part_file_location '/scratch/data'; but I have no idea how to suggest to db2 that it should look for dataset.1 on the first node, etc.

I want to instantiate them with Base's constructor, without having to write some proxy contructors in those derived classes. And of course, I want to instantiate those derived classes with Reflection. • WPF: change DataTemples according to Value

  I have a class called Cell with two properties. One is called Value of type int? And the other is called Candidates of type ObservableCollection during the initialization I am utilizing a DataTemplateSelector to choose between two datatemplates for two different scenarios. If the Value property has a value then template A should be used to present the Cell class. However if the Value property is null Then template B should be used to present the Cell class. While this works perfectly fine during the initialization however during the runtime the templates don't change any more when the value of the Value property actually changes. Is the approach of using DataTemplateSelector the wrong approach to change DataTemplates dynamically? What would you recommend I should do? Many thanks,

Any ideas what the problem is, or a different way I can accomplish the same thing. What I need is to simply include the circle in the button when it's in the hover state.

  Basically I have a User-Defined Table Type (for use as a table-valued variable) which I'm referencing in a stored procedure that effectively just calls two other stored procedures, then inserts those values into the table type. Id est INSERT INTO @tableValuedVariable (var1, var2, var3, var4, var5) EXEC [dbo].StoredProcedure1; INSERT INTO @tableValuedVariable (var1, var2, var5) EXEC [dbo].StoredProcedure2; You can probably already tell what I'm going to ask. Basically StoredProcedure2 only returns a few of the values the table is set to hold, and I'd like those other variables to just be null (as defined as default). Only SQL is complaining that I'm not specifying all the variables available to that table. The return datasets can be quite sizable so I'd like to avoid loops and such for obvious reasons.   I've got a javascript function that gets called on change event of a select form element. So, the "this" variable in js refers to the select element. This select element is in a td tag, in a tr tag. The tr tag has a classname of "FilterDetailsRow". Now, I've tested, and if I use this syntax: var filterRow = $(this).parent().parent(); it gets me what I want. However, is there a better way to tell jQuery, "starting with "this" can you please go up my tree of parents until you find one with a classname of "FilterDetailsRow"?   I have two combobox controls. If i change combobox A then I am reading from xml and populating combobox B. The xml is loaded into memory in Application's creationComplete method. When I select values in combobox A and then open combobox B, I am seeing the values correctly, but when I deploy it on the server in a different machine (which is in a different subdomain), then my combobox B values are not cleared and are retained by old selection, when I select the combobox B, then it is getting refreshed. I am making the dataprovider = null for combobox b, and when I am assigning new collection then i am refreshing the arraycollection as well. But still the problem is not solved.

  Are there any AS3 classes to help arrange objects into layers, like in the designer, such that the objects all have the same parent? Obviously, I can use container clips to simulate layers, but I specifically want this kind of functionality for objects that have the same parent. My understanding is that the design-time notion of layers does not exist at run-time, and objects just have a depth index. I'm creating a class to simulate layering functionality with a single parent, but if one already exists, I'd like to check it out. On a side note... how do design-time layer masks manifest themselves at runtime in AS3? I thought maybe all objects on the masked layer share the same mask object, but the "mask" property appears to be null for all objects on the masked layer, even though they share the same parent timeline as the unmasked objects (i.e. unmasked layer object parent == masked layer object parent; therefore, no masked subcontainers appear to be in use).
