    I am using jQuery auto-complete plugin in my web project. I want to show 3 element and after that i want to append 'see all results' link to the bottom.   • jQuery .val Enigma between two input boxes

    I'm trying to get it so that if I move a red div-square around the screen using jQuery UI and jQuery, then an input field updates with the position of the div. I got that working with a simple .val. But, it's hard to explain why, but I need to make it so that when I move the square, it updates my input box, and when the input box value is changed, another input box reflects the new value of the old input box. Do I make any sense, coz I'm confusing myself :). I made a jsfiddle, so perhaps it'll make more sense there. If you move the red square, then the input box directly above it updates, but the input box above that does not, even though it is programmed to reflect the value of the input box below itself. P.S. Is this specific to only jQuery, or is this problem present in all of JavaScript. Thanks! http://jsfiddle.net/xmCsq/27/

I would like to have the dropdown option the user displayed in the last page already selected.     Ok, so the problem I'm facing is this, I have a table with 3 columns : ID, Key and Value. ID | Key | Value ================ 1 | 1 | ab 1 | 2 | cd 1 | 3 | ef 2 | 1 | gh 2 | 2 | ij 2 | 3 | kl Now I want to select the value of Keys 1 & 3 for all IDs, the return should be like this ID | 1 | 2 ================ 1 | ab | ef 2 | gh | kl So per ID 1 row containing the Values for Keys 1 & 3. I tried using 'join' but since I need to use multiple where clauses I can't figure out how to get this to work ..

  • Is there a way to change the maximum width of a window without using the WM_GETMINMAXINFO message?

    I want to change the imposed Windows maximum width that a window can be resized to, for an external application's window (not my C#/WinForms program's window). The documentation of GetSystemMetrics for SM_CXMAXTRACK says: "The default maximum width of a window that has a caption and sizing borders, in pixels. This metric refers to the entire desktop. The user cannot drag the window frame to a size larger than these dimensions. A window can override this value by processing the WM_GETMINMAXINFO message." Is there a way to modify this SM_CXMAXTRACK value (either system wide or for one particular window), without processing the WM_GETMINMAXINFO message? Maybe an undocumented function, a registry setting, etc.? (Or: The documentation for MINMAXINFO.ptMaxTrackSize says: "This value is based on the size of the virtual screen and can be obtained programmatically from the system metrics SM_CXMAXTRACK and SM_CYMAXTRACK." Maybe there is a way to change the size of the virtual screen?) Thank you

  • IE8 blocking JavaScript Cookies

    Hey there folks, Here is one that is throwing me for a loop. I am trying to set a simple cookie that has one name:value pair on IE8. Tested on FF and it works fine. IE8 keeps blocking it. I have read about the P3P stuff and created a basic P3P doc, no errors reported by the IBM tool, and added the following on all pages: <meta http-equiv="P3P" CP="CAO DSP COR PSDa CONi TELi OUR STP COM NAV"><link rel="P3Pv1" href="/w3c/p3p.xml"></link> The code I use to set the cookie is as follows: function setCompatibilityCookie(c_name, value, expiredays) { var exdate = new Date(); exdate.setDate(exdate.getDate() + expiredays); document.cookie= c_name + "=" + escape(value) + ((expiredays==null) ?     Long story short, I have a struct (see below) that contains exactly one field: private int value; I've also implemented implicit conversion operators: public static implicit operator int(Outlet val) { return val.value; } public static implicit operator Outlet(int val) { return new Outlet(val); } I've implemented all of the following : IComparable, IComparable<Cart>, IComparable<int>, IConvertible, IEquatable<Cart>, IEquatable<int>, IFormattable I'm at a point where I really have no clue why, but whenever I serialize this object, I get no value. For instance, with XmlSerialization: <Outlet /> Also, I'm not solely concerned about XmlSerialization, I'm concerned about ALL serialization (binary for instance) How can I ensure that this serializes properly? NOTE: I did this because mapping an int,int dictionary seemed rather poorly typed to me when explicit objects with validation behavior were desired.

  • Binary search of unaccesible data field in ldap from python

    I'm interested in reproducing a particular python script. I have a friend who was accessing an ldap database, without authentication. There was a particular field of interest, we'll call it nin (an integer) for reference, and this field wasn't accessible without proper authentication. However, my friend managed to access this field through some sort of binary search (rather than just looping through integers) on the data; he would check the first digit, check if it was greater or less than the starting value, he would augment that until it returned a true value indicating existence, adding digits and continuing checking until he found the exact value of the integer nin. Any ideas on how he went about this? I've access to a similarly set up database.

    There are lots of questions that ask this or a similar question. They all give the command that has to be executed, what I don't understand is where do I write this command. I want to permanently increase the heap space for my tomcat apps. I read this page http://javahowto.blogspot.com/2006/06/6-common-errors-in-setting-java-heap.html and it says under the Tomcat section Stop Tomcat server, set environment variable CATALINA_OPTS, and then restart Tomcat. Look at the file tomcat-install/bin/catalina.sh or catalina.bat for how this variable is used. For example, set CATALINA_OPTS=-Xms512m -Xmx512m (Windows, no "" around the value) export CATALINA_OPTS="-Xms512m -Xmx512m" (ksh/bash, "" around the value) setenv CATALINA_OPTS "-Xms512m -Xmx512m" (tcsh/csh, "" around the value) So I replaced the line set CATALINA_OPTS= with set CATALINA_OPTS=-Xms512m -Xmx512m But I still get the error.

  • Drupal - Counting data in nodes, creating custom statistics

    Hiya, I'm building some custom content types to capture customer data on a website. Admins will enter the data, users will be able to view it, but I also need to be able to bolt on some statistics and infographics to the data. The problem I have is that I can't see any simple way of doing this within Drupal. Are there modules which can produce simple stats on selected node types or will I have to write a complete custom module using the data abstraction layer? Thanks for any insights!

    I have a function which spawns various types of threads, one of the thread types needs to be spawned every x seconds.     I wrote few custom view helpers but I have a little trouble using them. If I add the helper path in controller action like this: public function fooAction() { $this->view->addHelperPath('My/View/Helper', 'My_View_Helper'); } Then I can use the views from that path without a problem. But when I add the path in the bootstrap file like this: protected function _initView() { $this->view = new Zend_View(); $this->view->doctype('XHTML1_STRICT'); $this->view->headScript()->appendFile($this->view->baseUrl() . '/js/jquery-ui/jquery.js'); $this->view->headMeta()->appendHttpEquiv('Content-Type', 'text/html; charset=UTF-8'); $this->view->headMeta()->appendHttpEquiv('Content-Style-Type', 'text/css'); $this->view->headMeta()->appendHttpEquiv('Content-Language', 'sk'); $this->view->headLink()->appendStylesheet($this->view->baseUrl() . '/css/reset.css'); $this->view->addHelperPath('My/View/Helper', 'My_View_Helper'); } Then the view helpers don't work. Why is that? It's too troublesome to add the path in every controller action.   • Can I use a class as an object in .NET to create instances of that class?

    I'm writing a fairly uncomplicated program which can "connect" to several different types of data sources including text files and various databases. I've decided to implement each of these connection types as a class inherited from an interface I called iConnection. So, for example, I have TextConnection, MySQLConnection, &c... as classes. In another static class I've got a dictionary with human-readable names for these connections as keys. For the value of each dictionary entry, I want the class itself. That way, I can do things like: newConnection = new dict[connectionTypeString](); Is there a way to do something like this? I'm fairly new to C# so I'd appreciate any help.

    hello, i have XML files which contain records with the following structure: <payment contractType="1"> <income type="0"> <gr code="1" amount="1506.00"/> <gr code="4" amount="35.00"/> <gr code="10" amount="288.14"/> <de code="3011300" amount="138.72"/> <de code="3081100" amount="48.81"/> <de code="3082400" amount="109.84"/> </income> <netAmount1 value="765.00"/> <netAmount2 value="765.00"/> </payment> each file has many records of type payment and i want the final xml to contain one payment record by adding all the amount values for every differrent code value I think XPath can be used for this, but I never used it before , could someone show me some Java (or else) code for this?
