  • How Do I Setup Multiple Stores Using Magento Like Their Demo?

    I'm playing with Magento and I figured out how to create multiple websites and stores and store views, but when I go back to the home page it certainly doesn't look as cool as the Magento Demo (http://www.magento-mall.com/). Are the tabs something they did in the HTML and the store domains are really masking to the ugly store URL? Example: www.kayferg-store1.com = masks to beta.kayferg.com/magento/index.php/?___store=[STORE1] www.kayferg-store2.com = masks to beta.kayferg.com/magento/index.php/?___store=[STORE2]

  • How can I make links appear in UILabel

    I need to do data detection of website URL's in live chat and display them in a UILabel NOT UITextView. They need to be clickable and will open a in-app browser. We have tried Craig Hockenberry's code, three20, and making our own, all of which didn't work. We need to use UILabel to take advantage of shadows. Anyone know what to do? Help!

  • CSS: background image does not fill when scrolling

    Hi, working on a very small site which loads in one go, so there is a div which holds all the background images, and on top of that (i.e. higher z-index) there is a content div which holds everything. I can switch backgrounds easily based on what content is selected.     In one of my Selenium test cases, I try to ensure that certain pages can't be accessed. Instead, HTTP return code 403 should be given. However, here Selenium terminates test execution with the following exception: com.thoughtworks.selenium.SeleniumException: XHR ERROR: URL = http://user:[email protected]/admin Response_Code = 403 Error_Message = Forbidden Any way to work around that?

  • Prevent Apache from logging 404 Errors, logging all other errors

    I would like to disable 404 errors from appearing in my Apache error logs. The reason for this is that I have a custom page that handles 404 errors, performing any necessary redirects. If no valid redirect is found in this 404 page, then a nice page appears and the url and other information are logged by the script. Because of this, I do not need 404 errors in my Apache error log. Is there any way to just disable 404s short of doing a custom pipe?

  • AutoCompleteExtender not working for WebService hosted on IIS 7

    I have a web service file in my project having a web method which is used for AutoCompleteExtender and which works fine when I debug it from VS. But when I publish and host it on IIS, it's not working properly. However, I tested the webservice method directly by typing the URL and it gave the desired output. Is their a special setting needs to be done in IIS to make it working or any property of AutoCompleteExtender need to be set?

I noticed there are 4 colors showing in the left hand column of FireBug DOM tree: Bold black Black Bold green Green In the right hand column: Blue Red Bold green Green Multiple color elements representing object structures. What do this colors represent? And why, e.g, I can access window.document.URL and I can't access window.document.body in Console even though they are both in the "not-bold black" category in the DOM tree? Thanks a lot

  • Autoloading Development or Production configs (best practices)

    When programming sites you usually have one set of config files for the development environment and another set for the production server (or one file with both settings). I am assuming all projects should be handled by version control like git or svn. Manual file transfers (like FTP) is wrong on so many levels. How you enable/disable the correct settings (so that your system knows which ones to use) is a problem for me. Each system I work on just kind of jimmy-rigs a solution. Below are the 3 methods I know of and I am hoping that someone can submit a more elegant solutions. 1) File Based The system loads a folder structure based on the URL requested. /site.com /site.fakeTLD /lib index.php For example, if the url is http://site.com then the system loads the production config files located in the site.com folder. However, if I'm working on the site locally I visit http://site.fakeTLD to work on the local copy of the site. To setup this I edit my hosts file and add site.fakeTLD to point to my own computer (127.0.0.1/localhost) and then create a vhost in apache. So now I can work on the codebase locally and then push to the server without any trouble. The problem is that this is susceptible to a "host" injection attack. So someone loading site.com could set the host to site.fakeTLD and then the system would load my development config files instead of production. 2) Config Based The config files contain on section for development - and one for production. The problem is that each time you go to push your changes to the repo you have to edit the file to specify which set of config options should be used. $use = 'production'; //'development'; This leaves the repo open to human error should one of the developers forget to enable the right setting. 3) File System Check Based All the development machines have an extra empty file called "development.txt" or something. Each time the system loads it checks for this file - if found then it knows it is in development mode - if missing then it knows it is in production mode. Since the file is NEVER ADDED to the repo then it will never be pushed (and checked out) on the production machine. However, this just doesn't feel right and causes a slight slow down since all filesystem checks are slow. Is there anyway that the server can auto-detect wither to use the development or production configs?

  • Safari/Chrome problem with ajaxsubmit?

    Hi I'm currently having some weird issues with ajaxsubmit (http://jquery.malsup.com/form/#ajaxSubmit), which I'm currently using in a project. I have a flow where I need to open a form into a modal window. I'm using fancybox for that and it works like a charm. When the form has been forced to open in the fancybox window there can happen two things. 1) If the user who is about to submit the form is logged in she should see a confirmation in the modal box, that her input was succesfully submitted 2)If the user is not logged in there should be loaded a login form once she hits the submit button 2.1) When the user has logged in she should receive a confirmation in the modal box. This is also working like a charm in Firefox, IE8 and IE7 but not in Safari or Chrome. The weird part is that it seems like safari and chrome are completely ignoring my ajaxsubmit form. I am trying to set latitude & longitude to some JSON string but every time straight after it sets the variable it changes it back to "undefined" as soon as it passes the line after var latitude? (using firebug & firequery to debug)

  • Sticky Footer Dilemma - so close

    I have an effective sticky footer solution, but I have a slight conflict because of the need for a background image in addition to the repeating banner image across the top. In order to make the large watermark type image show up on this site I added the following div: <div id="body-outer"> The only problem is that once I add this div tag, the footer climbs up the page, overriding all content in its path. If I remove that div, the footer is as sticky as one could hope. Is there some way to have the background image and the sticky footer too? I noticed this action steals focus from current control (grid) and than I have problem to focus grid back (tired myGrid.Focus, .Select etc...) This is really annoying behaviour of browser... Does anyone knows how to prevent focus stealing by Browser or (if not) hot to force to focus control back ? EDIT: I've also tried webBrowser.DocumentCompleted event to focus back to grid

    I recently changed some of my pages to be displayed via ajax and I am having some confusion as to why the utf8 encoding is now displaying a question mark inside of a box, whereas before it wasn't. Fore example. The oringal page was index.php. charset was explicitly set to utf8 and is in the <head>.
