  • Output Caching with IIS7 - How To for an dynamic aspx page?

    I have a RetrieveBlob.aspx that gets some query string variables and returns an asset. Eeach url corresponds to a unique asset. In the RetrieveBlob.aspx a Cache Profile is set. In Web.Config the profile looks like (under system.web tag: <caching> <outputCache enableOutputCache="true" /> <outputCacheSettings> <outputCacheProfiles> <add duration="14800" enabled="true" varyByParam="*" name="AssetCacheProfile" /> </outputCacheProfiles> </outputCacheSettings> </caching> Ok, this works fine. When I put a breakpoint in the code behind of RetrieveBlob.aspx, it gets triggered the first time, and all the other times not. Now, I throw away the Cache Profile and instead I'm having this in my Web.Config under System.WebServer: <caching> <profiles> <add extension=".swf" policy="CacheForTimePeriod" kernelCachePolicy="CacheForTimePeriod" duration="00:08:00" /> <add extension=".flv" policy="CacheForTimePeriod" kernelCachePolicy="CacheForTimePeriod" duration="00:08:00" /> <add extension=".gif" policy="CacheForTimePeriod" kernelCachePolicy="CacheForTimePeriod" duration="00:08:00" /> <add extension=".png" policy="CacheForTimePeriod" kernelCachePolicy="CacheForTimePeriod" duration="00:08:00" /> <add extension=".mp3" policy="CacheForTimePeriod" kernelCachePolicy="CacheForTimePeriod" duration="00:08:00" /> <add extension=".jpeg" policy="CacheForTimePeriod" kernelCachePolicy="CacheForTimePeriod" duration="00:08:00" /> <add extension=".jpg" policy="CacheForTimePeriod" kernelCachePolicy="CacheForTimePeriod" duration="00:08:00" /> </profiles> </caching> Now the caching doesn't work anymore. What am I doing wrong? Is it possible to configure under Caching tag of System.WebServer a Caching Profile for a Dynamic aspx page? I already tried adding something like this: <add extension="RetrieveBlob.aspx" policy="CacheForTimePeriod" kernelCachePolicy="CacheForTimePeriod" duration="00:00:30" varyByQueryString="assetId, assetFileId" /> But it doesn't work.     I'm trying to get zc.buildout to install Gunicorn from source. Using the following configuration: [gunicorn] recipe = collective.recipe.distutils url = http://github.com/benoitc/gunicorn/tarball/master results in the following error: SystemError: ('Failed', '"/usr/bin/python" setup.py -q install --install- purelib="/mnt/hgfs/Projects/intranation/parts/site-packages" --install-platlib="/mnt/hgfs/Projects/intranation/parts/site-packages"') Providing a --install-dir or --prefix doesn't help. Is there a recipe for zc.buildout that downloads a tarball and installs it via easy_install or similar?

  • css: problems with floating a sidebar

However, this only works if the file is local. If I was to fetch the image such that: import urllib2 resp = urllib2.urlopen("http://upload.com/people/tom.png") How would I pass resp.fp as a file object instead of writing it to a file and passing the filename? Is this possible?

  • Facebook dialogs keep popping up in Firefox

    I have a facebook application running in a FBML canvas and I have a problem with dialogs (either extended permissions or stream publish dialogs). Once they popup, they keep popping up for every subsequent requests. I've tested it in Chrome and everything works fine. It seems that the URL is chained in Firefox, which gives cryptic long urls like : http://apps.facebook.com/webdweller-po/discover?_fb_q=1&_fb_qsub=apps.facebook.com#!/webdweller-dev/?_fb_q=1&_fb_qsub=apps.facebook.com Did anybody experienced such a bug?

    I'm trying to integrate Spring 3.0.5 with Jersey 1.4. I seem to have everything working, but whenever I try and return a Viewable that points to a JSP, I get a 404 error. However, now that I have to use the SpringServlet to get spring integration, I'm at a loss for how to access resources, since I can't use the filter above.     Hi GUys, I am having a big trouble positioning my dropdown menu on below URL (Internet Explorer 7 problem only): http://tinyurl.com/y7v2qj9 When hovering the menu, you will see that the drop down appears behind the image. This doesn´t happen in IE8 or Firefox, only in IE7. I think it must be related to a specific bug which i am unaware of, can´t find the solution. Your help is greatly appreciated ! THANKS !!

  • Real time complex raster image morphing in Flash CS4

    Is there a way to load an image from some url or a local folder and then make some complex morphing to it in real time? For example, I have a vector animated pseudo 3D paper in my project that, for example, is being flipped different ways. Then I want to place some image inside that paper box and want to morph that image accordingly to the box form changes or at least make it look more realistically, not exactly the same as the paper box.
