  • XMLStreamReader and a real stream

    - by Yuri Ushakov
    Update There is no ready XML parser in Java community which can do NIO and XML parsing. This is the closest I found, and it's incomplete: http://wiki.fasterxml.com/AaltoHome I have the following code: InputStream input = ...; XMLInputFactory xmlInputFactory = XMLInputFactory.newInstance(); XMLStreamReader streamReader = xmlInputFactory.createXMLStreamReader(input, "UTF-8"); Question is, why does the method #createXMLStreamReader() expects to have an entire XML document in the input stream? Why is it called a "stream reader", if it can't seem to process a portion of XML data? For example, if I feed: <root> <child> to it, it would tell me I'm missing the closing tags. Even before I begin iterating the stream reader itself. I suspect that I just don't know how to use a XMLStreamReader properly. I should be able to supply it with data by pieces, right? I need it because I'm processing a XML stream coming in from network socket, and don't want to load the whole source text into memory. Thank you for help, Yuri.

  • Copy to clipboard does not work when loaded with ajax call

    - by kylex
    I have the following code which works the way one would expect (click on the button and it copies the text in the input box): <script type="text/javascript" src="ABSOLUTE_LINK/ZeroClipboard.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> ZeroClipboard.setMoviePath( 'ABSOLUTE_LINK/ZeroClipboard.swf' ); </script> Copy to Clipboard: <input type="text" id="clip_text" size="40" value="Copy me!"/><br/><br/> <div id="d_clip_button">Copy To Clipboard</div> <script language="JavaScript"> echo "var clip = new ZeroClipboard.Client(); clip.setText( '' ); // will be set later on mouseDown clip.setHandCursor( true ); clip.setCSSEffects( true ); clip.addEventListener( 'load', function(client) { } ); clip.addEventListener( 'complete', function(client, text) { alert("Copied text to clipboard: " + text ); } ); clip.addEventListener( 'mouseOver', function(client) { } ); clip.addEventListener( 'mouseOut', function(client) { } ); clip.addEventListener( 'mouseDown', function(client) { // set text to copy here clip.setText( document.getElementById('clip_text').value ); } ); clip.addEventListener( 'mouseUp', function(client) { } ); clip.glue( 'd_clip_button' ); </script> However, when this code is loaded using an ajax call, the functionality disappears. Is there anything I can do to get this working when it's called via ajax?

  • CSS: Horizontal scrolling with overflow-x

    - by ams
    Hello fellow programmers, I was wondering if there still isn't a good way to get a div to stretch and scroll horizontally, according to the images inside. -After all, it is 2011 now! The mega-width does the trick, but leaves an empty mega-space if not filled with images. If filled too much, images don't display. Same for the jQuery. The situation below is the best I can do after hours of Googling, but it isn't reliable enough. Thanks for your time. Ams * { margin:0; padding:0; } #one { width:200px; height:250px; overflow-x:auto; overflow-y:hidden; } #two { width:10000em; } #two img { float:left; } $(document).ready(function(){ var total=0; $(".calc").each(function(){ total += $(this).outerWidth(true); }); $("#two").css('width',total); alert(total); }); <div id="one"> <div id="two"> <img src="images/testimage3.jpg" width="480" height="192" class="calc"> <img src="images/testimage3.jpg" width="480" height="192" class="calc"> <img src="images/testimage3.jpg" width="480" height="192" class="calc"> <img src="images/testimage3.jpg" width="480" height="192" class="calc"> </div> </div>

  • jquery slideDown menu

    - by Elliott
    Hi, I have a link which once hovered over a box below slides down, once hover is removed it slides back up. I have it working almost to how I want, although in IE8 (Havent tested in other IE yet) the text in the box which slides down is not centerd. In firefox, when it slides down the corners are not smooth, but they are in IE. Live test here Code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('#nav_top').corners('5px'); $('#nav_bottom').hide(); $('#nav_bottom').corners(); $('#link').hover(function() { $('#nav_top').corners('10px top'); $('#nav_bottom').stop(true, true).slideDown(); $('#nav_bottom').slideDown("slow"); }, function () { $('#nav_bottom').slideUp("fast"); } ); }); </script> <div id="nav_top"> <a href="javascript:void(0);" id="link">Hover</a> <div id="nav_bottom"> <br />Stuff </div> </div> </div> Any advice, also is it better to use .hover or .mouseEnter / mouseLeave? Thanks

  • nested include in php

    - by aeonsleo
    The directory structure: C:/wamp/www/application/model/data_access/data_object.php C:/wamp/www/application/model/users/user.class.php C:/wamp/www/application/controller/projects.php C:/wamp/www/application/controller/links/links.php I have 2 php files data_object.php and user.class.php Now user.class.php has an include statement for data_object.php wchih is relative to user.class.php.These two files are under different directory hierarchy. Now I have to include this user.class.php in various files (like projects.php, links.php-which themselves are under different hierarchy) whenever i want to create a User() object. The problem is the relative path for file inclusion of data_object.php does work for say projects.php but if i open links.php the error message says it could not open file data_object.php in user.class.php. What i think is for relative inclusion of data_object.php it is considering the path of the file in which user.class.php is included. I am facing such problems in more than one scenarios I have to keep my directory structure the way it is but have to find a way to work with nested includes. I used Document root of session it give root path as C:/wamp/www/ i appended the path for data_object.php include but this is not working. (note: the forward slash is present after www) I am currently running on wamp server's localhost but after completion i have to host the solution on a domain. Pls help

  • Translate XSD element names to English

    - by Coov
    I have an XML Schema Definition file .XSD who's elements are in Spanish. I have an XML data file that is also in Spanish that matches the schema definition. I created a dataset from the xsd using xsd.exe and I'm loading the XML into the dataset. I want to translate the element names to English. I can think of two options off the top of my head. Either scrape the XSD & XML files and translate the elements prior to generating the dataset with esd.exe, or iterate the dataset after I have loaded it with the xml, and translate my objects. I do have a written document that provides the English names for every element name in Spanish. The problem is there are hundreds of elements and I was trying to avoid coding that manually. Getting precise translations is not that important, it just needs to be readable by an English speaking person. Here is an example of what an element may look like "Apellidos": <xs:element name="Apellidos" type="xs:string"/> that I will translate to "SirName": <xs:element name="SirName" type="xs:string"/> I'm looking for ideas and or opinions on a quick way to do this. It's a one time deal so I'm not working about it scaling or being functional for things other than this single xml file. I'll be taking this dataset and writing out a flat file for English speaking users to read.

  • How do I force or add the content length for ajax type POST requests in Firefox?

    - by Jayson
    I'm trying to POST a http request using ajax, but getting a response from the apache server using modsec_audit that: "POST request must have a Content-Length header." I do not want to disable this in modsec_audit. This occurs only in firefox, and not IE. Further, I switched to using a POST rather than a GET to keep IE from caching my results. This is a simplified version of the code I'm using for the request, I'm not using any javascript framework. function getMyStuff(){ var SearchString = ''; /* build search string */ ... /* now do request */ var xhr = createXMLHttpRequest(); var RequestString = 'someserverscript.cfm' + SearchString; xhr.open("POST", RequestString, true); xhr.onreadystatechange = function(){ processResponse(xhr); } xhr.send(null); } function processResponse(xhr){ var serverResponse = xhr.responseText; var container = document.getElementById('myResultsContainer'); if (xhr.readyState == 4){ container.innerHTML = serverResponse; } } function createXMLHttpRequest(){ try { return new ActiveXObject("Msxml2.XMLHTTP"); } catch (e) {} try { return new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } catch (e) {} try { return new XMLHttpRequest(); } catch(e) {} return null; } How do I force or add the content length for ajax type POST requests in Firefox?

  • How to pass parameters to manage_shared_memory.construct() in Boost.Interprocess

    - by recipriversexclusion
    I've stared at the Boost.Interprocess documentation for hours but still haven't been able to figure this out. In the doc, they have an example of creating a vector in shared memory like so: //Define an STL compatible allocator of ints that allocates from the managed_shared_memory. //This allocator will allow placing containers in the segment typedef allocator<int, managed_shared_memory::segment_manager> ShmemAllocator; //Alias a vector that uses the previous STL-like allocator so that allocates //its values from the segment typedef vector<int, ShmemAllocator> MyVector; int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { //Create a new segment with given name and size managed_shared_memory segment(create_only, "MySharedMemory", 65536); //Initialize shared memory STL-compatible allocator const ShmemAllocator alloc_inst (segment.get_segment_manager()); //Construct a vector named "MyVector" in shared memory with argument alloc_inst MyVector *myvector = segment.construct<MyVector>("MyVector")(alloc_inst); Now, I understand this. What I'm stuck is how to pass a second parameter to segment.construct() to specify the number of elements. The interprocess document gives the prototype for construct() as MyType *ptr = managed_memory_segment.construct<MyType>("Name") (par1, par2...); but when I try MyVector *myvector = segment.construct<MyVector>("MyVector")(100, alloc_inst); I get compilation errors. My questions are: Who actually gets passed the parameters par1, par2 from segment.construct, the constructor of the object, e.g. vector? My understanding is that the template allocator parameter is being passed. Is that correct? How can I add another parameter, in addition to alloc_inst that is required by the constructor of the object being created in shared memory? There's very little information other than the terse Boost docs on this.

  • JS Object this.method() breaks via jQuery

    - by Peter Boughton
    I'm sure there's a simple answer to this, but it's Friday afternoon and I'm tired. :( Not sure how to explain it, so I'll just go ahead and post example code... Here is a simple object: var Bob = { Stuff : '' , init : function() { this.Stuff = arguments[0] } , doSomething : function() { console.log( this.Stuff ); } } And here it is being used: $j = jQuery.noConflict(); $j(document).ready( init ); function init() { Bob.init('hello'); Bob.doSomething(); $j('#MyButton').click( Bob.doSomething ); } Everything works, except for the last line. When jQuery calls the doSomething method it is overriding 'this' and stopping it from working. Trying to use just Stuff doesn't work either. So how do I refer to an object's own properties in a way that allows jQuery to call it, and also allows the object to work with the calling jQuery object? i.e. I would like to be able to do things like this: doSomething : function() { console.log( <CurrentObject>.Stuff + $j(<CallerElement>).attr('id') ); } (Where <CurrentObject> and <CallerElement> are replaced with appropriate names.)

  • XML parsing using jQuery

  • Cocoa NSOutlineView and Drag-and-Drop

    - by bobthecoder
    I recently started another thread without an account, so I'm reposting the question here with an account so I can edit current links to the program so other users can follow this. I have also updated the code below. Here is my original question: I read the other post here on Outlineviews and DND, but I can't get my program to work. At the bottom of this post is a link to a zip of my project. Its very basic with only an outlineview and button. I want it to receive text files being dropped on it, but something is wrong with my code or connections. I tried following Apple's example code of their NSOutline Drag and Drop, but I'm missing something. 1 difference is my program is a document based program and their example isn't. I set the File's Owner to receive delegate actions, since that's where my code to handle drag and drop is, as well as a button action. Its probably a simple mistake, so could someone please look at it and tell me what I'm doing wrong? Here is a link to the file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7195844/OutlineDragDrop1.zip

  • Running ASP / ASP.NET markup outside of a web application (perhaps with MVC)

    - by Frank Schwieterman
    Is there a way to include some aspx/ascx markup in a DLL and use that to generate text dynamically? I really just want to pass a model instance to a view and get the produced html as a string. Similar to what you might do with an XSLT transform, except the transform input is a CLR object rather than an XML document. A second benefit is using the ASP.NET code-behind markup which is known by most team members. One way to achieve this would be to load the MVC view engine in-process and perhaps have it use an ASPX file from a resource. It seems like I could call into just the ViewEngine somehow and have it generate a ViewEngineResult. I don't know ASP.NET MVC well enough though to know what calls to make. I don't think this would be possible with classic ASP or ASP.NET as the control model is so tied to the page model, which doesn't exist in this case. Using something like SparkViewEngine in isolation would be cool too, though not as useful since other team members wouldn't know the syntax. At that point I might as well use XSLT (yes I am looking for a clever way to avoid XSLT).

  • XSLT Built-in Template Rules for attributes

    - by Martin Smith
    I'm sure that this is an extremely basic question but here goes anyway! I have read that the built in template rule for text and attribute nodes in XSLT is <xsl:template match="text()|@*"> <xsl:value-of select="."/> </xsl:template> However for the source document <?xml version="1.0"?> <booker> <award> <author blah="test">Aravind Adiga</author> <title>The White Tiger</title> <year>2008</year> </award> </booker> And XSLT <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:output method="text"/> </xsl:stylesheet> I get the following output applying the transform in Visual Studio. Can someone please explain why I don't see "test" in the output? Aravind Adiga The White Tiger 2008

  • jQuery event handling with .live() problem with setInterval and clearInterval

    - by Kyle Lafkoff
    jQuery 1.4.2: I have an image. When the mouseover event is triggered, a function is executed that runs a loop to load several images. On the contrary, the mouseout event needs to set the image back to a predetermined image and no longer have the loop executing. These are only for the images with class "thumb": $("img.thumb").live("mouseover mouseout", function(event) { var foo = $(this).attr('id'); var wait; var i=0; var image = document.getElementById(foo); if (event.type == 'mouseover') { function incrementimage() { i++; image.src = 'http://example.com/images/file_'+i+'.jpg'; if(i==30) {i=0;} } wait = setInterval(incrementimage,500); } else if (event.type == 'mouseout') { clearInterval (wait); image.src = 'http://example.com/images/default.jpg'; } return false; }); When I mouseout, the image is set to the default.jpg but the browser continues to loop though the images. It will never stop. Can someone hit me with some knowledge? Thanks.

  • DSA signature verification input

    - by calccrypto
    What is the data inputted into DSA when PGP signs a message? From RFC4880, i found A Signature packet describes a binding between some public key and some data. The most common signatures are a signature of a file or a block of text, and a signature that is a certification of a User ID. im not sure if it is the entire public key, just the public key packet, or some other derivative of a pgp key packet. whatever it is, i cannot get the DSA signature to verify here is a sample im testing my program on: -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 abcd -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: BCPG v1.39 iFkEARECABkFAk0z65ESHGFiYyAodGVzdCBrZXkpIDw+AAoJEC3Jkh8+bnkusO0A oKG+HPF2Qrsth2zS9pK+eSCBSypOAKDBgC2Z0vf2EgLiiNMk8Bxpq68NkQ== =gq0e -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Dumped from pgpdump.net Old: Signature Packet(tag 2)(89 bytes) Ver 4 - new Sig type - Signature of a canonical text document(0x01). • log4js ConsoleAppender initialization

    - by perrierism
    I'm wondering if anyone happens to have some experience using Log4js? It seems its normal ConsoleAppender isn't always ready to use immediately after it's added to a logger object... If I have two sequential script tags in a document like: //Initialize logger <script type="text/javascript"> var logger = new Log4js.getLogger("JSLOG"); logger.addAppender(new Log4js.ConsoleAppender(logger, false)); logger.setLevel(Log4js.Level.INFO); </script> //Use logger <script type="text/javascript"> logger.info('Test test'); </script> ... It causes the console pop-up (pop-up window) to appear with an error message on page load: 12:58:23 PM WARN Log4js - Could not run the listener function () { return fn.apply(object, arguments); }. TypeError: this.outputElement is null The console is still initialised, it's there afterward, but for just that first logger call it doesn't seem to be there fully. If I make the first logger call setTimeout("logger.info('test test')", 1000), it doesn't have the error. So it's like it's not ready immediately. Anyone see this before or know what a workaround might be? Cheers

  • CStdioFile Undeclared Identifier

    - by Eric Regnier
    I am unable to compile my code when using a CStdioFile type. I have included the afx.h header file but I am still receiving errors. What I am trying to do is write a cstring that contains an entire xml document to file. This cstring contains comments inside of it, but when I use other objects such as wofstream to write it to file, these comments are striped out for some reason. • Google maps not showing satellite background - streets on white background.

    - by WooYek
    Custom map is broken on satellite view, does not show satellite imagery. Any ideas, what's wrong? Overlays are also broken - they're not transparent. Code: <div id="map_canvas" class="grid_8 omega" style="width:460px; height: 420px"></div> <script src="http://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&amp;v=3&amp;sensor=true&amp;key=my-key-is-here" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> function initialize() { if (GBrowserIsCompatible()) { var map = new GMap2(document.getElementById("map_canvas")); map.setCenter(new GLatLng(52.229676, 21.012229), 13); map.setMapType(G_HYBRID_MAP); map.setUIToDefault(); } var geocoder = new GClientGeocoder(); function showAddress(address) { geocoder.getLatLng(address, function(point) { if (!point) { alert('Nie mozna znalezc adresu: '+address); } else { map.setCenter(point, 13); var marker = new GMarker(point); map.addOverlay(marker); marker.openInfoWindowHtml(address); } } ); } showAddress('some address goes here') } $('body').ready(initialize); $('body').unload(GUnload); </script>

  • C# Byte[] to Url Friendly String

    - by LorenVS
    Hello, I'm working on a quick captcha generator for a simple site I'm putting together, and I'm hoping to pass an encrypted key in the url of the page. I could probably do this as a query string parameter easy enough, but I'm hoping not too (just because nothing else runs off the query string)... My encryption code produces a byte[], which is then transformed using Convert.ToBase64String(byte[]) into a string. This string, however, is still not quite url friendly, as it can contain things like '/' and '='. Does anyone know of a better function in the .NET framework to convert a byte array to a url friendly string? I know all about System.Web.HttpUtility.UrlEncode() and its equivalents, however, they only work properly with query string parameters. If I url encode an '=' inside of the path, my web server brings back a 400 Bad Request error. Anyways, not a critical issue, but hoping someone can give me a nice solution **EDIT: Just to be absolutely sure exactly what I'm doing with the string, I figured I would supply a little more information. The byte[] that results from my encryption algorithm should be fed through some sort of algorithm to make it into a url friendly string. After this, it becomes the content of an XElement, which is then used as the source document for an XSLT transformation, and is used as a part of the href attribute for an anchor. I don't believe the xslt transformation is causing the issues, since what is coming through on the path appears to be an encoded query string parameter, but causes the HTTP 400 I've also tried HttpUtility.UrlPathEncode() on a base64 string, but that doesn't seem to do the trick either (I still end up with '/'s in my url)**

    - by user1452370
    So, I just started javascript and everything was working fine till i came to objects. This peace of code is supposed to create a bouncing ball in a html canvas with javascript but it doesn't work. var canvas = document.getElementById("myCanvas"); var ctx = canvas.getContext("2d"); //clear function clear() { ctx.clearRect(0, 0, canvas.width, canvas.height); } here is my ball object //ball var ball = { x: canvas.width / 2, getX: function() { return x; }, setX: function(a) { x = a; }, y: canvas.height / 2, getY: function() { return y; }, setY: function(a) { y = a; }, mx: 2, getMx: function() { return mx; }, my: 4, getMy: function() { return my; }, r: 10, getR: function() { return r; } }; code to draw my ball function drawBall() { ctx.beginPath(); ctx.arc(ball.getX, ball.getY, ball.getR, 0, Math.PI * 2, true); ctx.fillStyle = "#83F52C"; ctx.fill(); } function circle(x, y, r) { ctx.beginPath(); ctx.arc(x, y, r, 0, Math.PI * 2, true); ctx.fillStyle = "#83F52C"; ctx.fill(); } //draws ball and updates x,y cords function draw() { clear(); drawBall(); if (ball.getX() + ball.getMx() >= canvas.width || ball.getX()+ ball.getMx() <= 0) { ball.setMx(-ball.getMx()); } if (ball.getY() + ball.getMy() >= canvas.height|| ball.getY()+ ball.getMy() <= 0) { ball.setMy(-ball.getMy()); } ball.setX(ball.getX() + ball.getMx()); ball.setY(ball.getY() + ball.getMy()); } set interval function init() { return setInterval(draw, 10); } init();

  • Origin null is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin

    - by JIGGABITS
    I'm currently working with the SoundCloud API and would like to have a track embed when a button is clicked. I get two errors: XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://soundcloud.com/oembed.json?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F48419073. Origin null is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin. AND Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'html' of null Here is my code: <button onclick="getPopular()">+1</button> <div id="track"></div> <script src="http://connect.soundcloud.com/sdk.js" type="text/JavaScript"></script> <script type="text/JavaScript"> SC.initialize({ client_id: "**************", }); var getPopular = function() { SC.get("/tracks", {limit: 1}, function(tracks) { var track = tracks[0]; alert("Latest track: " + track.title); SC.oEmbed(track.uri, document.getElementById("track")); }); }; </script> I use an alert in my code to let me know that it is actually taking information from the SoundCloud API. I'm just not sure what else is preventing it from embedding. Thanks, ahead of time, or looking at my question. jiggabits

  • jquery png fix on hidden div and jquerybrowser question

    - by Jared
    Hello, I have some code that if Javascript is available, it will remove a GIF image and replace it with a PNG image. The PNG is display:none and the GIF is visible. Since IE6- browsers can't load PNG, I have loaded the jquery PNG fix. But it only seems to work if the image is already visible. The other issue is I am trying to get the jquery.browser function to apply to less than version 6, and I am not having much luck. <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#gif").hide(); jQuery.each(jQuery.browser, function(i, val) { if($.browser.msie && jQuery.browser.version <="6"){ $("#png").show(); $('.png').pngFix() }else{ $("#png").fadeIn("slow"); } }); }); </script> HTML <img class="png" id="png" src="images/main_elements/one-2-flush-it-campus-challenge.png" style="display:none;" /> <img id="gif" src="images/main_elements/one-2-flush-it-campus-challenge.gif"/>
