When I tried to install, I am getting errors as: The security settings could not be applied to the database because the connection has failed of the following errors ERROR NR:1045 Access denied for user 'root@'localhost(using password yes). I tried to uninstall MySQL completely and install again, but it shows this error again and again. I have changed my firewall setting also and tried unstalling antivirus sotware too. A hugely annoying hurtle I'm encountering is this: When I resize my XP windows at all (usually by mistake), it automatically logs me off (or Locks), requiring me to log in. • Setting up router: I can get online via Ethernet, and I can connect to router wirelessly, but can't

  I'm setting up a new D-Link N300 router, and trying to connect a MacBook Pro and a MacBook, both running OS X 10.6. As the question says, either computer can connect to the internet when connected to the router via Ethernet. And either one can get on the router's wireless network. But when connected wirelessly (without the Ethernet cable plugged in), neither one can get online. I can't figure out why that would be. Any help appreciated.

I was very careful to leave the recovery partition intact so that I could do this, but I don't see a way to boot to it. In the Disk Management console I can see the "9.77GB Healthy (Recovery Partition)" partition but I can't do anything with it - the context menu only contains the Help option. Any ideas?

  I have a problem regarding how to kill a process in cygwin on windows. I am completely new to cygwin. But i have a task that i simply cant kill. i have tried issuing the following commands: kill 4568 kill -9 4568 /bin/kill -f 4568 I have issued the commands in a separate cygwin terminal since i cant CTR-C it in the cygwin terminal where the process run. I have searched all over the internet without success :( hope someone can help thanks :)

• Thunderbird loses all settings if PC is being shut down abnormally

  I recently duplicated my XP "C" drive, using Retrospect. When it finished, there were 6 errors. I checked the log and the 1st error referred to Microsoft Security Essentials\Support\Applications.etl: Appears incomplete. The other 5 errors referred to the Microsoft SQL Server.....\MSSQL\log_...trc: Appears incomplete. Is this a problem that can be solved by reinstalling Microsoft Security Essentials? Or wht else? • Mavericks not booting after successful installation over Lion (10.7.5)

  On my 2012 MacBook Pro (15 inch, non retina, i7, 10GB RAM) after successful installation when Mavericks tried to boot, it is freezing there with "Still waiting for root device" (Seen Using CMD + V during boot). Someone please help. My Mac is not usable anymore. Boots in safe mode but freezes in safe mode too. From safe mode reinstalled Mavericks but failed again with same error. If it can't be fixed please let me know if it can be reverted.
