  We have XML like so: <Example> <Node>Some text here <ChildNode>Child 1</ChildNode> <ChildNode>Child 2</ChildNode> </Node> </Example> We are using XmlDocument to parse this. When we have the XmlNode of the Node element, XmlNode.InnerText returns us this: "Some text hereChild 1Child2" How can we get the inner text of the Node element without the child nodes' inner text? We don't really want to use any Regex or string splitting to accomplish this. Note: We also don't want to switch to using a different set of classes to parse this XML, it would be too much of a code change.

• jQuery focus on content of input / textarea - not working properly in IE8

  I want the input fields on my site to select all the text when the user first clicks on them, but in IE8 the text is selected for a split second then reverts back to normal. Works fine in FF. • LSUIElement behaves inconsistently with activateIgnoringOtherApps

  Specifically, it behaves inconsistently regarding text field focus. I have an LSUIElement popping up a status menu. Within that menu there is a view containing a text field. The text field needs to be selectable -- not necessarily selected by default, but whichever. When the status item is clicked, it triggers [NSApp activateIgnoringOtherApps:YES]; And it works, about half the time.* The other half the status menu seems to consider itself "in the background" and won't let me put focus on the text field even by clicking on it. (I know the status item click-trigger is firing b/c there's an NSLog on it.) Is this a bug in the way Apple handles these status items, or am I mishandling activateIgnoringOtherApps? *In fact, it seems to fail only the first time after another app is activated. If i press button in initial page which redirects to another page, OnDeviceReady function is never called. Anybody has any ideas?

  I have a treeviewitem where the header property contains other elements such as TextBlock. I want if the TextBlock Text = "Empty", the TreeViewItem not to be focasable. Here I set the TextBox Focasable property but the containing TreeViewItem is focasable. I want the TreeViewItem containing the TextBlock with the Text="Empty" not to be focasable.   I'm trying to build a player for a radio station that automatically updates the current song from an XML file, the problem is that I don't want it to update the UI (updateSongIMG) unless the song has actually changed. I have a hidden div called settings_songid that stores the song id and it should check that against a value in the XML file, if its different, then it should update it. • JLabel transparency problem

  I have a dark-gray JPanel with a JLabel on it. I set new Color(0, 0, 0, .5f) (tranparent) as the background of the JLabel and I change the text several times using a button. The problem is, everytime the text is changed, the previous text still remains behind the new text. I change the text from "123456789" to "1234567", "12345" and "123". Here is the screenshot: How do I get rid of this "shadow"? Say I got a simple input text field in a HTML and I was using some Ifs and Elses to check the value input into the text field. • Redirecting users in JSP from within a includes - java syntax error

  Hey everyone, So my setup for my web application is that I have a general header and footer and then I just include them in all my other pages so that all the common elements for all the pages are in a single page. The only problem I'm running into is when I want to redirect the user back to a login page if the "username" session has not already been created. The problem that I"m running into is that I have an if statement at the top of my header.jsp and then I have the else in the footer.jsp and it is giving me a java syntax error. Any ideas?
