    Just wondering if anybody can run/compile application for Sun Java Realtime system on a VM such as VMWare or on the Cloud such as on Amazon EC2 ? I know it is not ideal running Realtime java on a virtualized infrastructure, but it makes things easier. (Otherwise I just have to install SLES SP2 on physical hardware.)

    Hi, I am looking to setup Amazon EC/2 nodes on rails with Riak. I am looking to be able to sync the riak DBs and if the cluster gets a query, to be able to tell where the data lies and retrieve it quickly. In your opinion(s), is EC/2 fast enough between nodes to query a Riak DB, return the results, and get them back to the client in a timely manner? I am new to all of this, so please be kind :)

I probably missed that, Is it possible to generate it again

    I am trying to set up a NFS server on an AWS instance running SLES11. After installing nfs-utils, I tried to export a test share. Here is what my /etc/exports file looks like: /opt/share1 ec2-50-16-224-79.compute-1.amazonaws.com(rw,async) export -ar returns the following message: exportfs: internal: no supported addresses in nfs_client domU-12-31-38-04-7E-02.compute-1.internal:/opt/share1: No such file or directory Any idea what the no supported addresses error means?     I just installed Nginx 1.6.1 from source but it didn't seem to installed correctly. Nginx is running if I service nginx status but when I do nginx -v it outputs command not found. Regular HTML page shows fine and there is no error in the error logs. I am on AWS Ec2 linux AMI.   • Unable to make admin interface connection to server when moving a mailbox.

    I have an existing Exchange 2003 server running on Windows Server 2003. I am in the process of replacing our current server infrastructure and virtualizing it all in Hyper-V. I have Essential Business Server 2008 installed in 3 separate VMs and running. Everything seems to be working fine so far. I am now trying to migrate my exchange mailboxes over to the new exchange server in the messaging server and every time I try I get this error: MapiExceptionNetworkError: Unable to make admin interface connection to server. (hr=0x80040115, ec=-2147221227) I have done some searching and found solutions like adding the computer to the exchange domain servers groups and install group, also making sure the user logged into the new server is in the proper groups. I also saw a solution in making sure that any unused NICs are disabled. I've tried all that to no avail.

  • Restarting Haproxy Gracefully

    As per various blogs, HAproxy can be gracefully restarted using the following command: sudo haproxy -f /etc/haproxy/haproxy.cfg -p /var/run/haproxy.pid -sf $(cat /var/run/haproxy.pid) TO verify this, I had set up a apache bench script which contiguously sent message to haproxy. Ideally, whenever I restarted my server the script should not have an affect on the apache bunch execiton. But, it seems that whenever Haproxy is restarted apache bench scripts terminate and the connection to load balancer is lost.   • STUN-server using AWS

    We are about to hire some consultants to help us set up an AWS-based server environment that will enable us to handle NAT Traversal for our P2P application. One important part of the NAT Traversal infrastructure is the STUN-server (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STUN). They just told us that in order for the STUN-server to work you must have two public static IP-addresses pointing to the same server. To more specific they said this: It appears that you need 2 static IPs for each server for the STUN to work. Please note, these IPs have to be put into the configuration file, therefore, each time you restart the instance you have to make sure you either use the same IPs or you have to update configuration. As you plan to use AWS for your installation, please confirm that you can have 2 static IP for each server. Our question is if this is possible using AWS and if so, how? If not, do you know any other way to set up a STUN-server using AWS?
