  • How do I use a custom cookie session serializer in Rack?

    Hello SO. I'm currently integrating Warden into a new Rack application I'm building. I'd like to implement a recent patch to Rack that allows me to specify how sessions are serialized; specifically, I'd like to use Rack::Session::Cookie::Identity as the session processor. Unfortunately, the documentation is a little unclear as to what syntax I should use to configure Rack::Session::Cookie in my rackup file, can anyone here tell me what I'm doing wrong? config.ru require 'my_sinatra_app' app = self use Rack::Session::Cookie.new(app, Rack::Session::Cookie::Identity.new), {:key => "auth_token"} use Warden::Manager do |warden| # Must come AFTER Rack::Session warden.default_strategies :password warden.failure_app Jelli::Auth.run! end run MySinatraApp error message from thin !! Unexpected error while processing request: undefined method `new' for #<Rack::Session::Cookie:0x00000110124128> PS: I'm using bundler to manage my gem dependencies and I've likewise included rack's master branch as the desired version. Update: As suggested in the comments below, I have read the documentation; sadly the suggested syntax in the docs is not working. Update: Still no luck on my end; offering up a bounty to whoever can help me figure this out.

    HTML has an input button type to reset all fields in a form to their initial state in one step: <input type="reset" ... />. Is there a similar simple way to reset all form fields of an aspx page from code-behind? Or is it necessary to reset all controls one by one with TextBox1.Text=string.Empty, TextBox2.Text=string.Empty, etc. ? Thanks in advance!

    I have index.php which uploads a file to server and sets several PHP variables (like $target_folder_and_file_name). index.php also has the following line (it was originally index.html): <script language="JavaScript" src="main.js.php"></script> After index.php returned to the browser, the browsers asks for main.js.php from the server (right?). Can I access somehow $target_folder_and_file_name from the PHP code in main.js.php ?

  • Do I need to keep "recompiling" my iPhone app code everytime apple releases a new iOS version?

    New here guys but have got a genuine problem. I have an iPhone app that was developed using SDK4. With apple introducing the new iOS version 6, does my code need to be recompiled on the new SDK to make it compatible with version 6? Right now it crashes on iOS6.     I want to add some VBA code when the value in a cell changes. I've already tried Worksheet_Change(), as described at http://www.contextures.com/xlfaqmac.html#WSChange However, this won't work: it only fires when the user changes the value. I want to fire it whenever the value changes, i.e. whenever the spreadsheet recalculates. Any ideas?

  • Django 1.5 custom User model error. "Manager isn't available; User has been swapped"

    I extend the django user model as described in the dev doc. I wan't to keep most of the original User model features so I extend the AbstractUser class. I've defined in settings.py: AUTH_USER_MODEL = 'myapp.CustomUser' My user class: class CustomUser(AbstractUser): custom_field = models.ForeignKey('OtherModel') objects = UserManager() Everything seems to work fine but when I try to make it managed by the admin site: admin.site.register(CustomUser, UserAdmin) I get this error on the admin CustomUser creation page (after validation of the password confirmation form): AttributeError: Manager isn't available; User has been swapped for 'myapp.CustomUser' The point is that I need this model managed by the admin site in order to have the same creation process as with the original User model (two step process with password validation). Using the example below, could someone explain to me why adding a new List<Foo> where each of Foo's properties are explicitly set causes the ApplicationSettingsBase.Save() method to correctly store the data, whereas adding a new Foo to the list via a constructor (where the constructor sets the property values) does not work?
