  • using windows service can we copy files from one computer to another computer C#.net ?

    I have one service that will create a text file to local machine and then need to copy the same file to another server . I am using " File.Copy(SourceFilePath, TargetFilePath, true);" and getting an exception at the target file path "access denied. I am able to copy the files manually to that location ( TargetFilePath) . any idea , what is going wrong ?? I don't have any network drive mapping with this target location. Thanks in Advance

    Hi, I was using Sonar to make my code cleaner, and it pointed that I'm using new Integer(1) instead of Integer.valueOf(1). Because it seems that valueOf does not instantiate a new object so is more memory-friendly. How can valueOf not instantiate a new object ? How does it work ? Is this true for all integers ? thanks.

    Hi All, I want to know if I can find/reach UI components of running application under Android OS. it is possible to catch the Button/DDL/.. that was clicked by the user in real-time, example from other subject(web): In browser I can listen to the events and catch the DOM object that was clicked, in this way I can save the DOM object data. catching UI components that was changed by the user will give the option to save UI componentdata, and to perform the user actions automatic.     As I understand it, a group-box is just another control. Controls inside it are not owned by it, so unlike in Winforms, if you move a group-box the contained controls stay put. What would be the nicest way to address this? Just create your own data-structure mapping controls to 'container' group-boxes so that when the container is moved the children are automatically moved?

Now I pass an NSError object, like this: NSError *error = nil; BOOL ok = [self validateCompanyName:@"Apple" error:&error]; I'm not sure if this matches the check for not NULL. I think it's not NULL, since I believe NULL is not nil. Maybe someone can clear this up?

    I want to generate Entity Framework 4.0 classes from a (legacy) database from a command line, but I have 2 transformations I want: Tables/columns are lowerCamelCase and I want my classes/members to be UpperCamelCase. I want to suffix my classes with "Dto". Any idea how this might be accomplished? I'm a total newbie to EF, but I have a decent understanding of Linq to Sql and was able to accomplish the same task by doing: sqlmetal - dbml - xml mapping file and .cs file.

    This is something I encounter frequently, but I don't know the elegant way of doing. I have a collection of Foo objects. Foo has a method bar() that may return null or a Bar object. I want to scan the collection, calling each object's bar() method and stop on the first one returning an actual reference and return that reference from the scan. Obviously: foos.find(_.bar != null).bar does the trick, but calls #bar twice.
