  • sliding drawer appear in all activities

    I am developing an application that contains many activities and i created my own menu (i don't want to use the built in menu button) with the Sliding Drawer as the sliding drawer is at the bottom of the screen and contains my menu buttons what i need is to make that sliding drawer to appear in all my activities i tried to create an activity and set it's content view to the xml file that includes the drawer and then extends that activity in all other activities but this solution doesn't work so any suggestions ?

  • conflicting cygwin and windows path

    if my windows path looks like this: c:\ruby\bin;c:\cygwin\bin then when i go into cgywin and enter "ruby" it will execute the ruby from c:\ruby\bin, failing to find the ruby installed in my cygwin. I have to exclude that path so cygwin would execute the one from /usr/bin. But i need those 2 paths, since i want to run ruby in windows too. Anyway to have cygwin have its own path and not inherit those in windows? thanks.

    Does (or did) Twitter ever have a method in their API that allowed client-side HTTP requests without producing any cross-domain issues? I have a site that used the following url: http://search.twitter.com/search.json?q=from%3adaleyjem&rpp=3&page=1&callback=? It once worked, but now it doesn't. Is there something else I should be using, or do I have to make a request to my own server-side code?

    I know that if your DLL static links against a different version of the runtime then it creates its own heap. It will also if it is instructed to make a heap. Under these circumstances, it is unsafe for the DLL to delete what the exe allocated. In what cases does this NOT apply (as in, it is safe for the DLL to delete what the exe allocated)? Is it safe if both the exe and the DLL static link against the same runtime library? Thanks

Now apparently they use their own custom compiler and language that will translate the source code to more "accessible" languages such as PHP and (I think) C#. Is there a name for this language?     I am using gnosis.xml.pickle to convert an object of my own class to xml. The object is initialized so that: self.logger = MyLogger() But when I do dump the object to a string I get an exception stating that the pickler encountered an unpickleable type . Is there a way to 'tag' the logger attribute so that pickler will know not to try and pickle that attribute?
