    What is a better way to program the following SQL: str_to_date( concat(convert(D.DAY, CHAR(2)), '-', convert(M.MONTH, CHAR(2)), '-', convert(M.YEAR, CHAR(4))), '%e-%m-%Y' ) as AMOUNT_DATE I want to convert the columns D.DAY, M.MONTH, and M.YEAR to a date field using MySQL. The above works, but seems much more complicated than it needs to be. (If there's an ANSI SQL way to do it, that would be even better.) Thank you!

  • OpenSSL Ignore Self-signed certificate error

    I'm writing a small program with the OpenSSL library that is suppose to establish a connection with an SSLv3 server. This server dispenses a self-signed certificate, which causes the handshake to fail with this message: "sslv3 alert handshake failure, self signed certificate in certificate chain." Is there a way I can force the connection to proceed? I've tried calling SSL_CTX_set_verify like so: SSL_CTX_set_verify(ctx, SSL_VERIFY_NONE, NULL); But it does not seem to change anything. Any suggestions?

  • Swing: does DefaultBoundedRangeModel coalesce multiple events?

    I have a JProgressBar displaying a BoundedRangeModel which is extremely fine grained and I was concerned that updating it too often would slow down my computer. So I wrote a quick test program (see below) which has a 10Hz timer but each timer tick makes 10,000 calls to microtick() which in turn increments the BoundedRangeModel. Yet it seems to play nicely with a JProgressBar; my CPU is not working hard to run the program. How does JProgressBar or DefaultBoundedRangeModel do this? But it's not called if the script is terminated with Ctrl-C. Is it possible to have the destructor called in this case also?

When I'm running my program, I get the following error: ... nested exception is javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: ejb not bound The error occurs at the start up when Java wants to create a certain bean. The Bean is a SimpleRemoteStatelessSessionProxyFactoryBean. Could it be that I ain't got the rights to access the naming provider URL although I can ping it? When accessing the bean on my local JBoss there are no problems.

However this even if the userName is only 3 characters and is not student I'm still hitting Application.Exit.     I'd like to write a test script or program that asserts that all dlls in a given directory are of a particular build type. I would use this as a sanity check at the end of a build process on an sdk to make sure that the 64bit version hasn't somehow got some 32bit dlls in it and vice versa. Is there an easy way to look at a dll file and determine its type? The solution should work on both xp32 and xp64.
