  • billboard.js is not working in safari

    I have a billboard.js script running on a simple php file and for some reason it works fine in FF and IE but not Safari.   • Xsl mime type problem

    Hi, I have a busybox with lighttpd running on as http server. My problem is while firefox and opera can get the page with applied xsl, Arora(webkit) can not.     I need infoWindow to be opened instead of zooming in map, when clicking on the ClusterMarker. I am using Gmaps util library MarkerClusterer for creating cluster of markers. I tried changing following line in markerclusterer.js ClusterMarker_.prototype = new GOverlay(); with ClusterMarker_.prototype = new GMarker(); so that I can get the openInfoWindow() function in the clustermarker, but that didnt worked out. Got some error. If possible, Please suggest solution so that this can be done with MarkerClusterer. Or else any other library which will be able to do this. Any help will be appreciated.

    I have a script which creates a drag-and-drop uploader on the page from a div. My DIV will look something like <div class="well uploader" data-type="image" data-callback="product.addimage" data-multi="1"></div> Then I'll have a function something like var product = new function(){ /* Some random stuff */ this.addimage = function(image){ alert('W00T! I HAZ AN IMAGE!'); } /* More random stuff */ } When the upload is complete, I need to call the function in data-callback (In this example, product.addimage). I know with global functions you can just do window[callback]() but I'm not sure the best way to do this with functions under objects. My first thought was to do something like* var obj = window; var parts = callback.split('.'); for(part in parts){ obj = obj[parts[part]]; } obj(); but that seems a bit dirty, is there a better way without using eval because eval is evil? I haven't tested this so I have no idea if it will work

  • How can developers use a similar tracking link to Google's results page?

    I've read heaps of pages of people trying to implement some kind of tracking system similar to the way Google reroutes search link. Eg: Search "Facebook" in Google, open in a new window, and the link changes to something like: "http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBkQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2F&rct=j&q=Facebook&ei=sksZTZexJobJccXnxZYK&usg=AFQjCNHTTNi-O4Qgrg6kvGVfKJuRqbuOKw&cad=rja" I'm guessing Google tracks that click and then redirects to the actual site by reading the url parameter. What I wanted to know is if there was a simple way that you can make this kind of functionality work using an onclick event - just change the link href after being clicked to redirect? There's a few threads, but from what I could find, nobody has actually succeeded without problems or limitations. Thanks in advance.

    I am creating an app using the Bespin editor and HTML5's localStorage. It stores all files locally and helps with grammar, uses JSLint and some other parsers for CSS and HTML to aid the user. I want to calculate how much of the localStorage limit has been used and how much there actually is. Is this possible today? I was thinking for not to simply calculate the bits that are stored. But then again I'm not sure what more is there that I can't measure myself.

  • Dual slider control with custom skin

    Hi All, I'm currently trying to create a page for users to select two points from a range, using a slide control. The first point in the range is when an alert will be sent to the user, the second point is a max limit. What I would like to do is have the bar colored green from the 0 point to the first slider point, then orange between the two sliders, and lastly red from the second slider up to the other end of the bar. Does anyone know of an easy was I can do this or of a slider control that can be skinned to do this?

As a input tool for the editorial team, we use TinyMCE for normal text plus a couple of custom plugins for footnotes and citations. But we are not really happy with TinyMCEs table controls. Everything but the most simple tables take way to long to write. Are there any specialized table editing tools for the browser out there?

I need 3 actions. 1) When user click in textarea i want display DIV what will contain preview, i want animate opening. 2) When user typing, i want dynamical load parsed by PHP code to DIV. (i'm still thinking what will be best option... refresh every 2 seconds, or maybe we can detect and refresh after 1 second of inactivity [stop typing]) 3) When user click outside textarea i want close preview div with animation. For example the PHP parser will have patch /api/parser.php and variable by POST called $_POST['message']. Any idea my digital friends ?

    I am trying to toggle the display of a CSS selector (ie.to show/hide it) using JQuery. I successfully toggled the display of a div, but want to do this now with the CSS selector :after. The CSS selector is being used to create the arrow on the box.     Afternoon all. I have the following scenario: I have a search page where by a client searches for a product from a drop down list, upon clicking a button, a gridview is produced display the spec. What I would like is the functionality for the user to make their selection and a new window pops up with the spec. Does anyone know how I can achieve this? Apologies if this is simple stuff, I am just finding my feet.
