    Hi guys, I have arrays similarly to these: 0 => Array ( [0] => Finance / Shopping / Food, [1] => 47 ) 1 => Array ( [0] => Finance / Shopping / Food, [1] => 25 ) 2 => Array ( [0] => Finance / Shopping / Electronic, [1] => 190 ) I need to create one array with [0] as a key and [1] as value. The tricky part is that if the [0] is same it add [1] to existing value. So the result I want is: array ([Finance / Shopping / Food]=> 72, [Finance / Shopping / Electronic] => 190); thanks

    Background: I am writing a script for a company that will allow users to create FTP accounts through a web interface. In the background, the script must run a bunch of commands: Add the user to the system (useradd) Open and edit various files mail the user via sendmail and a few other things... I'm basically looking for the most secure way of doing this. I've heard of the setuid method, the sudo method, and of course, running httpd as a priviledged user. There will be sanity checks on the data entered of course before any commands are executed (ie. only alphanumeric characters in usernames) What is the method used by the popular scripts out there (webmin for example), as it must be fairly secure?

  • How do I turn a PDF email attachment to an image (jpg) in a PHP page?

    Hi guys. Long time viewer, first time question asker. I'm trying to have my personal website parse through my mail box for attachments from a certain subscription list, and then be able to view the PDF attachments as images, preferably jpg. With the help of this: http://www.linuxscope.net/articles/mailAttachmentsPHP.html I'm currently using imap_base64() to decode the MIME data and create the PDF. However, I hate using PDF readers in general and I thought it would be a lot more streamlined if I could just view it as an image instead. I've heard for convert with ImageMagick, but would I need to actually write the PDF to a directory before using this, or can I convert somehow directly from the MIME data in the email?     I am a bit lost in all these "" and '' and . in this statement. Basically this query is to get all the tagname from table "tag" and display them for the users as checkboxes. If they have clicked 'submit' and they missed another field(say the title of a post), it would still have the tag they chose displayed. The part I need help with is the echoing part.   • Regular expression to match non-negative integers in PHP?

    I seem to get it to work with the following regexp by preg_match(): @^(?:[1-9][0-9]*)|0$@ Yet it's weird that it matches '-0', considering there are no '-' allowed at all in the regexp. Why? What's more weird is that if you switch the parts divided by |: @^0|(?:[1-9][0-9]*)$@ It matches all negative integers such as '-2' and '-10', etc. What am I missing here? Any better regexp for non-negative integer?

    I used to have database entries separated by ampersands (&), but this was causing certain search issues so I decided to encapsulate my entries on both sides by $ and & symbols like: $this& But I am having trouble displaying all the entries of a cell as indiivdual records. I'm facing a problem here, I'm using readyRead() signal to get output from the virtual machine, but how can I know that the virtual machine wants to read data from the user? AND college_day='".date('l',time())."'"; it return single row (left hand having some value and right hand having blank value) when there is no row of a given day in table_school, BUT display seven rows with same value on left hand side(college_open_time, college_close_time) and 6 blank row on right hand side (school_open_time and school_close_time) i need only one row when both table have a row of a given day but using above query take only first row of corresponding table_school where school_owner_id is 50(let), it not see the condition that school_day name should be given day
