• How to reset input field in the iframe?

  Hi! I have a search input field on the header of the page and when searched the result are displayed in an iframe, which also has the search input box on the iframe. Problem is how do I go about reseting the input value in the iframe search input field? It seem to remember the old search from the header, so when you do a search again in the iframe it display the last search, instead of the new search keyword. You have to refresh or clear the search again to make the search work correctly. Thanks in advance

• Can I move the order of XCode, Cocoa, and User Templates around in XCode 3.1?

  I followed the other questions on StackOverflow and made custom User Templates. Instead of replacing the factory default Cocoa class template, I have to pick a new user template. The order that is shown in XCode's New File dialog box is: iPhone templates first (great if you mostly do iphone development) Second the User templates Third the default Mac OS templates. I want my user stuff first, Mac OS templates second, and I want to bury iPhone templates in third and last place. The sort is obviously not alphabetical. And you can't drag/drop reorder.   I need to dynamically create Dijits to add N rules to a particular form. Currently I am adding them with the following javascript. var value = new dijit.form.Select({ id: "value_" + counter, store: ValueStore, searchAttr: "description" }, "stateSelect" + counter); value.placeAt(form, "last"); value.startup(); This is creating the element correctly in the form, but it is not associated when the form actually posts. I know Dojo is recognizing the Dijit because the styling is correct. How can I make sure they are included in the DOM form?

  Ok, for the last few days I have been attempting to find a method to pull a very important set of information form a table that contains what I call daily counts. I have a table that is setup as follows. person|company|prod1|prod2|prod3|gen_date Each company has more then one person, and each person can have different combination of products that they have purchased. What I have been trying to figure out is a SQL statement that will list the number of people that have bought a particular product per company. So an output similar to this: Comp ABC | 13 Prod1 | 3 Prod2 | 5 Prod 3 Comp DEF | 2 Prod1 | 15 Prod2 | 0 Prod 3 Comp HIJ | 0 Prod1 | 0 Prod2 | 7 Prod 3 Currently if a person did not select a product the value being stored is NULL. Best I have right now is 3 different statements that can produce this information if run on there own. I am trying to install libxml2 on unbuntu 9.10 and getting errors: $ sudo python setup.py develop Its a very lengthy error message but the last error is Setup script exited with error: Command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1. Can anybody tell me why i am getting this error? What are the dependencies or libraries required to install this? scenario: I am trying to setup the reddit.com clone, and when i run develop command, its generating a huge error as stated above. • Select list value undefined in $(document).ready

  I have the following code, which I want to load values on a selection change, and also do the selection load initially (since FF 'saves' the last value of the drop down under certain circumstances). The select part of the function works correctly, but for some reason when calling load2 directly the value of $('#select1').value is undefined, even though when I check the DOM in Firebug right after load select1.value has a value. But what's the usage of the last parameter 'onRequestCompleted'. The Doc says it's the call back function. But, what if I do not want to execute a call back function? • "Error opening associated documents" message when loading VS

  When loading up a solution in VS2008 I get this message: An error was encountered while opening associated documents the last time this solution was loaded. Document load is being skipped during this solution load in order to avoid that error. It shut down immediately the first time I opened it. The next time I opened it, VS popped up a message box but did not shut down at first; however, it did shut down when I clicked a usercontrol or ASPX page. How can I find which document is causing the problem? Thanks...

• Twitter and Facebook on iPhone - save sessions across app launches?

  Hi I am using OAuth for twitter and fb-connect for facebook authentication in my iPhone app. Is it possible to save the user sessions across app launches? i.e. if the user logs in once, the next time they launch the app, we log them in automatically from some state saved the last time the app closed? For Twitter would it work if I just save the auth_token and use it every time the user wants to use twitter from my app? Or do I need to do anything else? I could not get it to work like that so wondering if I was doing something wrong. Thanks.

  Is Eclipse's undo history broken? I have been using 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, and now 3.4 versions for the last few years and was always able to undo only about 20-25 changes back in history. This nonsense has cost me some lost modifications countless times when trying to revert some recent changes (if you reply with "you should commit to svn every 25 changes", I'm going to unleash dragons on you). There's a setting in Preferences-Editors-Text Editors-Undo history size and I set it to 1000 but it didn't help anything. I'm mostly using Eclipse with the Perl E.P.I.C. in the Perl Perspective, if it matters. So guys, what's the problem and how do I fix it?

  I have 3 tables (follows, postings, users) follows has 2 fields - profile_id , following_id postings has 3 fields - post_id, profile_id, content users has 3 fields - profile_id, first_name, last_name I have a follows.profile_id value of 1 that I want to match against. When I run the SQL statement below I get the 1st step in obtaining the correct data. However, I now want to match the postings.profile_id of this resulting set against the users table so each of the names (first and last name) are displayed as well for all the listed postings.   I am quite the beginner - but I have a lot of experience with respect to Electrical Engineering and formulas - over 30 years worth! Trying to construct an app for the iPhone. Loaded the SDK, bought myself a Mac, got a couple of "Chapter" pages written by John at Alpha Aviation - who recomended I try this site. How do I - well for example I enetered 400/1.732 - it came out like it was a web address with an underline! How can I get mathematical symbols like - sqare root, to the power of, subscript, superscript. I'd like to insert a few "calculator" pages but don't know how to. Appreciate I have only been doing this for the last week or so - so I am still quite rusty compared to what I wrote many years ago. Can anyone help? cheers

• NavigateBackward in Vim?

  So Ctrl-o works only with jumps and has a history, '' gets you back to your last position regardless of how you ended up there (jumping, navigating, etc) but there's no history for it. What I'm looking for is the best of those two worlds, something like Visual studio's NavigateBackward. Ctrl-o is good but a lot of the times it takes me back to positions I wouldn't expect, jumping is not the only way I navigate... Is there a built-in command/way in vim that does this? if not, is there a plugin for it? if not, I have no problem writing a plugin myself, I know how to set/get the caret position, but I looked at the autocmd-events and couldn't find anything that fires when the caret changes position. How would I go about detecting the 'change' of the caret position? Thanks.

  I need to produce the schedule of a sport-event. There are 30 teams. Each team has to play 8 matches. This means that it is not possible for each team to compete again all other teams, but I need to avoid that two team compete more than once against each other. My idea was to generate all possible matches (for 30 teams: (30*29)/2 = 435 matches) and select from this list 120 matches (8 match for each team: 8 * 30 / 2 = 120 matches). This is where I'm having a hard time: how can I select these 120 matches? I tried some simple solutions (take first match of the list, then the last, and so on) but they don't seem to work with 30 teams. I also tried to generate all possible match combination and find which one is working but with 30 team, this is too much calculation time. Is there an existing algorithm that I could implement?

Why are assemblies repeated there?

  Hi, My developer gave me a compressed file for the whole project from his subversion working copy. I uncompressed that file and used torotoisesvn import to put it into my repository which i host with projectlocker(a svn hosting provider). Now what i want to know is : 1) I want to view the files and the code that has changed since last revision. After doing the import the latest revision is at 8. I want to see what files and code has changed between revision no. 8 and revision no. 7 and maybe able to compare all of it upto revision no. 1. My question is can i do this ? 2)How to view these changes in projectlocker( or if it's the similar process with every svn host provider ) ?
