  • Can I use php's fwrite with 644 file permissions?

    I am trying to set up automated .htaccess updating. This clearly needs to be as secure as possible, however right now the best I can do file permission-wise is 666. What can I do to setup either my server or php code so that my script's fwrite() command will work with 644 or better? For instance is there a way to set my script(s) to run as owner?

  • Missing Localized Screenshots Error on itunes

    I have selected Default Language as "Australian English" as Default language. When I am submitting the binary it showing as rejected"Red Icon" with status "Missing Localized Screenshots". The application is in only single language. I have added screen shots also the application is only for iphone. When I am looking binary information that is showing as: Localizations : ( "en-AU" ) Please suggest me where I am making mistake.

  • Good article about File- and Folder Permissions on production server?

    I have a classifieds website, and users may post classifieds, add images, remove classifieds etc etc... I have no idea what to set the permissions to on folders. For instance, a php script which I have uploads a file to a directory. What would you have set the directory permissions to? Nobody need access to the directory, only the php script... Just wonder if anybody has a good (brief) article about setting the "right" permissions? Thanks

    I want to make my Python Class behave in such a way that when any Class method is called a default method is executed first without explicitly specifying this in the called Class. An example may help :) Class animals: def _internalMethod(): self.respires = True def cat(): self._internalMethod() self.name = 'cat' def dog(): self._internalMethod() self.name = 'dog' I want _internalMethod() to be called automatically when any method is called from an instance of animals, rather than stating it explicitly in the def of each method.   • WPF: ListBox click and drag selects other items

    Hi, Simple question: 1) I click and hold the mouse on a ListBoxItem in a ListBox. 2) Now I drag the mouse cursor down over the next ListBoxItem in the list It now selects this new item. I would like to disable this. So the user has to click an item to select it. Not just drag over it. I have Single selection turned on. Any ideas are greatly appreciated :)

    I'd like to measure to distinct user experience points during the rendering of an HTML page: 1) Point which user sees the first painting of the page 2) Point at which user can interact with the page - meaning sees 75% of it or can actually register a button click or link click I am pretty certain these UX interactions can start before the HTML code is fully rendered, so would that instance be the JS func "OnLoad" or some other distinct measureable value/function? If it helps, we can even narrow the answer down to webkit based browsers.

    How do I get shortcodes to process properly in custom fields? I've tried using the code below, but I cannot figure out where to place it ("button" is the name of the field): <?php if ( get_post_meta($post->ID, 'button', true) ) echo do_shortcode(get_post_meta($post->ID, 'button', $single = true)); ?> As of now, the shortcode is working in the sense that the button is displaying, but the shortcode text is displaying where the "buy now" button is supposed to be.   • Is there a way to check if a var is using setInterval() ?

    For instance, I am setting an interval like timer = setInterval(fncName, 1000); and if i go and do clearInterval(timer); it does clear the interval but is there a way to check that it cleared the interval? I've tried getting the value of it while it has an interval and when it doesn't but they both just seem to be numbers.

    I currently have about 650,000 items in memcached (430MB memory used) and the number is still increasing. It's expected to exceed 1,000,000 items before going flat. Current hit/miss ratio is 25:1 so the efficiency is pretty good. I just wanted to ask is one million items in memcached on single server too many? If no, how many is too many?

    Inspired by this discussion, after some googling I wasn't able to find an answer to a pretty simple question regarding methods in Ruby: are they objects or not? There are different opinions here and there, and I would really like to hear, let's say, an in-depth explanation. I'm aware of Object#method method, which takes a method name and returns a Method instance, but, on the other hand, there's a similar thing you can do with blocks to make them into Proc instances, and blocks aren't objects, so what makes methods any different?
