  • Can't install apache server, refuses to find

    I'm attempting to install Apache httpd-2.4.3. running $ ./configure --with-included-apr --with-pcre=/home/gregd/httpd-2.4.3/pcre --with-mod_alias --with-mod_include --with-mod_mime --with-mod_rewrite --with-mod_speling --with-mod_ss I get the following error: configure: error: Did not find pcre-config script at /home/gregd/httpd-2.4.3/pcre But the file pcre-config most certainly DOES exist in /home/gregd/httpd-2.4.3/pcre. So does configure. Installing on ubuntu. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    As the title says, does software RAID 1 (mirroring) in Windows 7 improve read speeds? I'd like to set up RAID 1 to help protect my important documents (yes, yes, I know it's not a backup), but performance is also important to me. As I understand it, RAID 1 should theoretically be able to improve my read speeds by n times, where n is the number of disks. Is Windows 7 able to get this boost? I haven't been able to find out this information anywhere.

    Hello I had my windows 7 dvd with me, and I had earlier copied all the files from it and dumped them into a folder on my computer's hard disk. Now I want to burn a bootable dvd from this dump, how can I do that? Can somebody help in creating a bootable dvd to troubleshoot a problem on my windows 7 system. I went on a vacation earlier and lost my original windows 7 os dvd, now I only have the dump.

  • Ubuntu (9.1) behind a ISA proxy

    I have set up a Ubuntu PC on a next work that is behind a ISA Proxy. When I run the command sudo apt-get update I get several messages with this message: 502 Proxy Error (The ISA Sever denied the specified Uniform Resource Locator) The computer can see the internet and adding the proxy settings in the Network Preferences does not help. When I do a ifconfig Im on a 192 address which is not the usual subnet our PCs are on. Any ideas?

    I am using the Connection Manager Administration Kit (CMAK) to create vpn connections for my users, if it is possible how do I create a custom action that launches an executable that runs synchronously? In the help file it says Only DLLs run synchronously, meaning that Connection Manager starts the action and then waits for the function to return before continuing Is there any way around this? I have seen something similar called VPN-Q which from the screen shots appear to do just that.

    In our sbs 2003 domain environment, the clients' pc's inactive for default period will be locked out automatically and only Ctrl+ Alt + Del & client password combination will unlock the client's pcs. Recently around 9 months before, all our client's pc's joined the new sbs 2011 but (usually all are locking with Win+L key combination manually)the auto lock feature is not working from the beginning onwards. Now only I am brought up with this issue by clients. Please help me set that option!

I know that if I write somethin in field where you put as a website link I get web engine results but not by google but fastaddressbar.. It is part of websearch toolbar. Most of them was blocked and added to quarantine by my antivirus comodo however I still do not know how restore fast search in firefox to get results from google. Please help :(

    I have a BIND DNS server running on my Windows 7 development machine and I'm serving pages with WAMPSERVER. My ideia is to develop some tools (in PHP) for my intranet at work and I want them to be accessible via LAN in this format: http://tools.mycompany.com I've already placed BIND and I can access http://tools.mycompany.com on the machine that holds BIND server, but I cannot access it from other LAN computers. I've done the following on my router: defined static IP's for all LAN computers set Port Forwarding to my server (remember: it serves DNS and Web pages) set DNS server configuration to point to my LAN server On LAN computers, I went to Local Area Network properties and also changed the DNS server IP in order to point to my local DNS server.     hostname -f says "hostname: the specified hostname is invalid". The hostname (FQDN) specified in /etc/hostname is also listed in /etc/hosts and is pingable. No actual DNS server yet of the host knows. Is this a reason of the error reported or something else? (the OS is Ubuntu 10.04 Server). Update: registering the host at a DNS server (so that the name can be successfully resolved via Internet) did not help.

  • Cannot connect to Windows SBS Essentials 2011

    Using the Launchpad from the Mac, trying to connect to Server Essentials 2011, no one is able to actually log in. The little login wheel keeps spinning and spinning. Anyone have any ideas what might be keeping us from logging in? On the mac side, we are using 10.6 and 10.7, but both are exhibiting the same problem. I also cannot connect to the server by remote desktop connection within the local network. HELP!

These are the current settings: Wireless On SSID Buster's Special Security Type WPA Encryption Type TKIP WLAN MAC Address 00:22:75:B3:58:38 WPS Enabled Guest Access Disabled SSID Belkin_N+_Guest Password/PSK NotThatSillyYet :) The iPhone is a 3g with 16GB it has no problems connecting to public networks like libraries or restaurants.
