For example, I supplied "http://www.example.com/news/today/this_is_a_news", but the rss is pointing to "http://www.example.com/rss/feed.xml", most modern browsers have this features already and I'm curious how did they get them. Can you cite an example code in ruby, python or bash?

That is, all input/output is tunneled thru a given interface. Like a kind of restricted javacsript. Example: If the interface is checkanswer(func) this are allowed: checkanswer( function (x,y)={ return x+y; } but these are not allowed: alert(1) document.write("hello world") eval("alert()")

    Im trying to make a program that captures a video from the webcam and sound from the microphone but im getting stuck at the part where ive try to make a movie out of still images ive heard you need to use directshow but it doesnt jet work for me Does someone know a good piece of example code that captures video and sound and can encode it to a file (divx or something like that) ? or some suggestions where to look so i can build it myself (if a other programming language is better for this im happy to know it early. )

    I need an algorithm written in any language to find an image inside of an image, including at different scales. Does anyone know a starting point to solving a problem like this? For example: I have an image of 800x600 and in that image is a yellow ball measuring 180 pixels in circumference. I need to be able to find this image with a search pattern of a yellow ball having a circumference of 15 pixels. Thanks

I have rerun compilemessages few times.

    Back when I was at school, I remember tinkering with a Mac game where you programmed little robots in a sort of pseudo-assembler language which could then battle each other. They could move themselves around the arena, look for opponents in different directions, and fire some sort of weapon. Pretty basic stuff, but I remember it quite fondly, even if I can't remember the name. Are there any good modern day equivalents?
