  • Spring 3.0: Handler mapping issue

    - by Yaniv Cohen
    I am having a trouble mapping a specific URL request to one of the controllers in my project. the URL is : http://HOSTNAME/api/v1/profiles.json the war which is deployed is: api.war the error I get is the following: [PageNotFound] No mapping found for HTTP request with URI [/api/v1/profiles.json] in DispatcherServlet with name 'action' The configuration I have is the following: web.xml : <context-param> <param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name> <param-value>/WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml,/WEB-INF/applicationContext-security.xml</param-value> </context-param> <!-- Cache Control filter --> <filter> <filter-name>cacheControlFilter</filter-name> <filter-class>org.springframework.web.filter.DelegatingFilterProxy</filter-class> </filter> <!-- Cache Control filter mapping --> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>cacheControlFilter</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> <!-- Spring security filter --> <filter> <filter-name>springSecurityFilterChain</filter-name> <filter-class>org.springframework.web.filter.DelegatingFilterProxy</filter-class> </filter> <!-- Spring security filter mapping --> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>springSecurityFilterChain</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> <!-- Spring listener --> <listener> <listener-class>org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener</listener-class> </listener> <!-- Spring Controller --> <servlet> <servlet-name>action</servlet-name> <servlet-class>org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet</servlet-class> <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup> </servlet> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>action</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/v1/*</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> The action-servlet.xml: <mvc:annotation-driven/> <bean id="contentNegotiatingViewResolver" class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.ContentNegotiatingViewResolver"> <property name="favorPathExtension" value="true" /> <property name="favorParameter" value="true" /> <!-- default media format parameter name is 'format' --> <property name="ignoreAcceptHeader" value="false" /> <property name="order" value="1" /> <property name="mediaTypes"> <map> <entry key="html" value="text/html"/> <entry key="json" value="application/json" /> <entry key="xml" value="application/xml" /> </map> </property> <property name="viewResolvers"> <list> <bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver"> <property name="prefix" value="/WEB-INF/jsp/"/> <property name="suffix" value=".jsp"/> <property name="viewClass" value="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.JstlView" /> </bean> </list> </property> <property name="defaultViews"> <list> <bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.json.MappingJacksonJsonView" /> <bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.xml.MarshallingView"> <constructor-arg> <bean class="org.springframework.oxm.xstream.XStreamMarshaller" /> </constructor-arg> </bean> </list> </property> </bean> the application context security: <sec:http auto-config='true' > <sec:intercept-url pattern="/login.*" filters="none"/> <sec:intercept-url pattern="/oauth/**" access="ROLE_USER" /> <sec:intercept-url pattern="/v1/**" access="ROLE_USER" /> <sec:intercept-url pattern="/request_token_authorized.jsp" access="ROLE_USER" /> <sec:intercept-url pattern="/**" access="ROLE_USER"/> <sec:form-login authentication-failure-url ="/login.html" default-target-url ="/login.html" login-page ="/login.html" login-processing-url ="/login.html" /> <sec:logout logout-success-url="/index.html" logout-url="/logout.html" /> </sec:http> the controller: @Controller public class ProfilesController { @RequestMapping(value = {"/v1/profiles"}, method = {RequestMethod.GET,RequestMethod.POST}) public void getProfilesList(@ModelAttribute("response") Response response) { .... } } the request never reaches this controller.   • Servlet mapping url patterns

    - by Scobal
    I have the following urls that need mapping to two different servlets. Can anyone suggest a working url-pattern please? vehlocsearch-ws: /ws/vehlocsearch/vehlocsearch /ws/vehavailrate/vehavailratevehlocsearch /ws/vehavailrate/vehavailratevehlocsearch.wsdl vehavailrate-ws: /ws/vehavailrate/vehavailrate /ws/vehavailrate/vehavailratevehavailrate /ws/vehavailrate/vehavailratevehavailrate.wsdl So far I have this, which feels right, but isn't: <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>vehlocsearch-ws</servlet-name> <url-pattern>*.vehlocsearch*</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>vehavailrate-ws</servlet-name> <url-pattern>*.vehavailrate*</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> Note: I have no control over the incoming urls

  • Mapping Repeating Sequence Groups in BizTalk

    - by Paul Petrov
    Repeating sequence groups can often be seen in real life XML documents. It happens when certain sequence of elements repeats in the instance document. Here’s fairly abstract example of schema definition that contains sequence group: <xs:schemaxmlns:b="http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/2003"            xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"            xmlns="NS-Schema1"            targetNamespace="NS-Schema1" >  <xs:elementname="RepeatingSequenceGroups">     <xs:complexType>       <xs:sequencemaxOccurs="1"minOccurs="0">         <xs:sequencemaxOccurs="unbounded">           <xs:elementname="A"type="xs:string" />           <xs:elementname="B"type="xs:string" />           <xs:elementname="C"type="xs:string"minOccurs="0" />         </xs:sequence>       </xs:sequence>     </xs:complexType>  </xs:element> </xs:schema> And here’s corresponding XML instance document: <ns0:RepeatingSequenceGroupsxmlns:ns0="NS-Schema1">  <A>A1</A>  <B>B1</B>  <C>C1</C>  <A>A2</A>  <B>B2</B>  <A>A3</A>  <B>B3</B>  <C>C3</C> </ns0:RepeatingSequenceGroups> As you can see elements A, B, and C are children of anonymous xs:sequence element which in turn can be repeated N times. Let’s say we need do simple mapping to the schema with similar structure but with different element names: <ns0:Destinationxmlns:ns0="NS-Schema2">  <Alpha>A1</Alpha>  <Beta>B1</Beta>  <Gamma>C1</Gamma>  <Alpha>A2</Alpha>  <Beta>B2</Beta>  <Gamma>C2</Gamma> </ns0:Destination> The basic map for such typical task would look pretty straightforward: If we test this map without any modification it will produce following result: <ns0:Destinationxmlns:ns0="NS-Schema2">  <Alpha>A1</Alpha>  <Alpha>A2</Alpha>  <Alpha>A3</Alpha>  <Beta>B1</Beta>  <Beta>B2</Beta>  <Beta>B3</Beta>  <Gamma>C1</Gamma>  <Gamma>C3</Gamma> </ns0:Destination> The original order of the elements inside sequence is lost and that’s not what we want. Default behavior of the BizTalk 2009 and 2010 Map Editor is to generate compatible map with older versions that did not have ability to preserve sequence order. To enable this feature simply open map file (*.btm) in text/xml editor and find attribute PreserveSequenceOrder of the root <mapsource> element. Set its value to Yes and re-test the map: <ns0:Destinationxmlns:ns0="NS-Schema2">  <Alpha>A1</Alpha>  <Beta>B1</Beta>  <Gamma>C1</Gamma>  <Alpha>A2</Alpha>  <Beta>B2</Beta>  <Alpha>A3</Alpha>  <Beta>B3</Beta>  <Gamma>C3</Gamma> </ns0:Destination> The result is as expected – all corresponding elements are in the same order as in the source document. Under the hood it is achieved by using one common xsl:for-each statement that pulls all elements in original order (rather than using individual for-each statement per element name in default mode) and xsl:if statements to test current element in the loop:  <xsl:templatematch="/s0:RepeatingSequenceGroups">     <ns0:Destination>       <xsl:for-eachselect="A|B|C">         <xsl:iftest="local-name()='A'">           <Alpha>             <xsl:value-ofselect="./text()" />           </Alpha>         </xsl:if>         <xsl:iftest="local-name()='B'">           <Beta>             <xsl:value-ofselect="./text()" />           </Beta>         </xsl:if>         <xsl:iftest="local-name()='C'">           <Gamma>             <xsl:value-ofselect="./text()" />           </Gamma>         </xsl:if>       </xsl:for-each>     </ns0:Destination>  </xsl:template> BizTalk Map editor became smarter so learn and use this lesser known feature of XSLT 2.0 in your maps and XSL stylesheets.

  • Connection hangs after time of inactivity

    - by Sinuhe
    In my application, Spring manages connection pool for database access. Hibernate uses these connections for its queries. At first glance, I have no problems with the pool: it works correctly with concurrent clients and a pool with only one connection. I can execute a lot of queries, so I think that I (or Spring) don't leave open connections. My problem appears after some time of inactivity (sometimes 30 minutes, sometimes more than 2 hours). Then, when Hibernate does some search, it lasts too much. Setting log4j level to TRACE, I get this logs: ... 18:27:01 DEBUG nsactionSynchronizationManager - Retrieved value [org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.SessionHolder@99abd7] for key [org.hibernate.impl.SessionFactoryImpl@7d2897] bound to thread [http-8080-Processor24] 18:27:01 DEBUG HibernateTransactionManager - Found thread-bound Session [org.hibernate.impl.SessionImpl@8878cd] for Hibernate transaction 18:27:01 DEBUG HibernateTransactionManager - Using transaction object [org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.HibernateTransactionManager$HibernateTransactionObject@1b2ffee] 18:27:01 DEBUG HibernateTransactionManager - Creating new transaction with name [com.acjoventut.service.GenericManager.findByExample]: PROPAGATION_REQUIRED,ISOLATION_DEFAULT 18:27:01 DEBUG HibernateTransactionManager - Preparing JDBC Connection of Hibernate Session [org.hibernate.impl.SessionImpl@8878cd] 18:27:01 TRACE SessionImpl - setting flush mode to: AUTO 18:27:01 DEBUG JDBCTransaction - begin 18:27:01 DEBUG ConnectionManager - opening JDBC connection Here it gets frozen for about 2 - 10 minutes. But then continues: 18:30:11 DEBUG JDBCTransaction - current autocommit status: true 18:30:11 DEBUG JDBCTransaction - disabling autocommit 18:30:11 TRACE JDBCContext - after transaction begin 18:30:11 DEBUG HibernateTransactionManager - Exposing Hibernate transaction as JDBC transaction [jdbc:oracle:thin:@212.31.39.50:30998:orcl, UserName=DEVELOP, Oracle JDBC driver] 18:30:11 DEBUG nsactionSynchronizationManager - Bound value [org.springframework.jdbc.datasource.ConnectionHolder@843a9d] for key [org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSource@7745fd] to thread [http-8080-Processor24] 18:30:11 DEBUG nsactionSynchronizationManager - Initializing transaction synchronization ... After that, it works with no problems, until another period of inactivity. IMHO, it seems like connection pool returns an invalid/closed connection, and when Hibernate realizes that, ask another connection to the pool. I don't know how can I solve this problem or things I can do for delimiting it. Any help achieving this will be appreciate. Thanks. EDIT: Well, it finally was due a firewall rule. Database detects the connection is lost, but pool (dbcp or c3p0) not. So, it tries to query the database with no success. What is still strange for me is that timeout period is very variable. Maybe the rule is specially strange or firewall doesn't work correctly. Anyway, I have no access to that machine and I can only wait for an explanation. :(

  • migrate database from sybase to mysql

    - by jindalsyogesh
    I have been trying to migrate a database from sybase to Mysql. This is my approach: Generate pojo classes from my sybase database using hibernate in eclipse Use these pojo classes to generate the schema in mysql database Then somehow migrate the data from sybase to mysql I guess this approach should work??? Please let me know if there is any better or easier approach. The thing is I am not even able to get the first step done. I added hibernate plugin in eclipse from this link: [http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable/][1] I added sybase jar file to my project classpath Then I added hibernate console configuration file Then I added hibernate configuration file Then I added hibernate code generation configuration When I try to run the code generation configuration file, I am getting java.lang.NullPointerException and I have no idea how to fix it. I searched a lot of forums, tried to google it, but I not able to find any solution. Can anybody tell me what mistake I am making here or point to some hibernate tutorial for eclipse??

  • What is wrong with the following Fluent NHibernate Mapping ?

    - by ashraf
    Hi, I have 3 tables (Many to Many relationship) Resource {ResourceId, Description} Role {RoleId, Description} Permission {ResourceId, RoleId} I am trying to map above tables in fluent-nHibernate. This is what I am trying to do. var aResource = session.Get<Resource>(1); // 2 Roles associated (Role 1 and 2) var aRole = session.Get<Role>(1); aResource.Remove(aRole); // I try to delete just 1 role from permission. But the sql generated here is (which is wrong) Delete from Permission where ResourceId = 1 Insert into Permission (ResourceId, RoleId) values (1, 2); Instead of (right way) Delete from Permission where ResourceId = 1 and RoleId = 1 Why nHibernate behave like this? What wrong with the mapping? I even tried with Set instead of IList. Here is the full code. Entities public class Resource { public virtual string Description { get; set; } public virtual int ResourceId { get; set; } public virtual IList<Role> Roles { get; set; } public Resource() { Roles = new List<Role>(); } } public class Role { public virtual string Description { get; set; } public virtual int RoleId { get; set; } public virtual IList<Resource> Resources { get; set; } public Role() { Resources = new List<Resource>(); } } Mapping Here // Mapping .. public class ResourceMap : ClassMap<Resource> { public ResourceMap() { Id(x => x.ResourceId); Map(x => x.Description); HasManyToMany(x => x.Roles).Table("Permission"); } } public class RoleMap : ClassMap<Role> { public RoleMap() { Id(x => x.RoleId); Map(x => x.Description); HasManyToMany(x => x.Resources).Table("Permission"); } } Program static void Main(string[] args) { var factory = CreateSessionFactory(); using (var session = factory.OpenSession()) { using (var tran = session.BeginTransaction()) { var aResource = session.Get<Resource>(1); var aRole = session.Get<Role>(1); aResource.Remove(aRole); session.Save(a); session.Flush(); tran.Commit(); } } } private static ISessionFactory CreateSessionFactory() { return Fluently.Configure() .Database(MsSqlConfiguration.MsSql2008 .ConnectionString("server=(local);database=Store;Integrated Security=SSPI")) .Mappings(m => m.FluentMappings.AddFromAssemblyOf<Program>() .Conventions.Add<CustomForeignKeyConvention>()) .BuildSessionFactory(); } public class CustomForeignKeyConvention : ForeignKeyConvention { protected override string GetKeyName(FluentNHibernate.Member property, Type type) { return property == null ? type.Name + "Id" : property.Name + "Id"; } } Thanks, Ashraf.

  • Why does hiberfil.sys come back from the dead on Windows 7?

    - by Corey White
    I have Windows 7 running on a small (40GB) partition, with 4GB ram. This means that the hiberfil.sys file created by Hibernate takes up a significant portion of the available diskspace. I would like to remove it. I am aware that I can disable Hibernate and remove hiberfil.sys by entering powercfg -h off in an elevated command prompt. This works -- the file is immediately removed, and after doing so, the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Power\HibernateEnabled key is (correctly) set to 0. However, the next time I reboot the PC, hiberfil.sys returns from the dead, Hibernate is reenabled, and that registry key has returned to 1. I'm pretty much at my wits' end with this. Almost everything I can find online related to removing the hiberfil.sys file simply suggests using powercfg to turn off hibernation, and that appears to work for just about everyone. But it just keeps coming back for me! (Like a vampire, sucking up my disk space.) I did find one other thread from someone who seems to have had the same issue, but none of the suggestions there worked for the original poster (or for me). Still, I have tried everything listed there, including: Disabling hybrid sleep Disabling Hibernate through the command prompt, through the Power Options GUI, and through both (in both orders) Manually changing the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Power\HibernateEnabled key Pretty much everything else I can think of! I do want to reiterate that I have no problem removing the file -- that works great. It just comes back after every reboot. I'm about ready to throw in the towel and just run a script on login to disable Hibernate each time, even though that seems like a crazily hacky "solution" . . . but I was hoping someone here could suggest something else, first. Thanks!

  • How to get distinct results in hibernate with joins and row-based limiting?

    - by Daniel Alexiuc
    I'm trying to implement paging using row-based limiting (for example: setFirstResult(5) and setMaxResults(10)) on a Hibernate Criteria query that has joins to other tables. Understandably, data is getting cut off randomly; and the reason for that is explained here. As a solution, the page suggests using a "second sql select" instead of a join. How can I convert my existing criteria query (which has joins using createAlias()) to use a nested select instead?

  • What other libraries or tools would you add to a Spring/Hibernate stack for improved rapid applicati

    - by CaptainAwesomePants
    My team at work maintains a fairly large webapp written on top of Spring and Hibernate. We're about to start making some fairly large scale changes to the site, and we're enamored with the rapid application development speeds allowed by some other frameworks, like Rails. We haven't really changed our stack much in the last year or two, and I'm wondering what new tools, approaches, and libraries might be out there to help speed up webapp development.

  • Does Hibernate always need a setter when there is a getter?

    - by Marcus
    We have some Hibernate getter methods annotated with both @Column and @Basic. We get an exception if we don't have the corresponding setter. Why is this? In our case we are deriving the value returned from the getter (to get stored in the DB) and the setter has no functional purpose. So we just have an empty method to get around the error condition..

  • Different cache concurrent strategies for root entity and its collection (Hibernate with EHCache)?

    - by grigory
    Given example from Hibernate docs and modifying it so that root level entity (Customer) is read-only while one of its collections (tickets) is read-write: @Entity @Cache(usage = CacheConcurrencyStrategy.READ_ONLY) public class Customer { ... @OneToMany(...) @Cache(usage = CacheConcurrencyStrategy.READ_WRITE) public SortedSet<Ticket> getTickets() { return tickets; } ... } Would collection of tickets get refreshed when accessing customer from cache?

  • what's the best practice to config Hibernate-Spring for multiple database relationship?

    - by nazila
    We have a main mysql database which all of the applications within our organization need the data within this database. How can I config my java web application to use this database with it's specific database when I use Spring and Hibernate within my application? How can I config JPA annotations for example between CONTRACT table within my database and COUNTRY table within our main database? what's the best practice to do this?

  • Is there a way to specify wildcarded region names when using ehcache with hibernate?

    - by bkent314
    When using Ehcache with Hibernate, is there a way to specify region names with wildcards in the ehcache.xml file? For example, to allow for cache settings at the package level (with * as a wildcard indicator): <cache name="com.example.my.package1.*" ... /> <cache name="com.example.my.package2.*" ... /> (Note: The package-level distinction is just an example. My question is to wildcards in the general case.)
