    I will have a different type of string(string will not have fixed format,they will be different every time) from them I want to remove some specific substring.Like the string can be OPTIDX 26FEB2009 NIFTY CE 2500 OPTIDX NIFTY 30 Jul 2009 4600.00 PE OPTSTK ICICIBANK 30 Jul 2009 700.00 PA I want to extract Rs.(digit) from those string and store it into one variable and then in those string there should not be Rs.(digit).   • ClickOnce Deployment online questions

    Hi all, Bit of a strange question, but how do ClickOnce deployments work from a web site? I seem to be having some problems with this. Basically, the setup file will download when you click the "install" button, but then some files are missing. Do you need to be on a Microsoft server to run ClickOnce deployments? I usually do deployments over a local server with UNC, and as this is the first time I've done one online I'm struggling a bit. Any newbie tutorials you can point me to would be great, and if I do need a special host for it, could you please recommend some? Cheers!

  • Can the Windows Media Player COM control play AVI files from memory (instead of from a file)?

    I have a C# app, and I'm looking at using the Windows Media Player COM control to play animation and audio. So far, the only way I see of programatically controlling what the control is playing is to set its URL property to point to some file (I assume there's some way to pass in a playlist). Is there any way the WMP can render an AVI that is entirely in-memory, like a MemoryStream or something? If so, can WMP skip from one AVI to the next seamlessly (i.e. no glitch in either the audio or the video as it transitions from one to the next)? If WMP only plays files, is there some way to cue up a list of the files in advance of play start? If so, can WMP be made to skip from one file to the next without a brief interruption? Any knowledge or links to knowledge would be much appreciated.

    I have small test app which has 2 resource files (Resources.resx & Resources.de-DE.resx) with the same exact string names, but one has the strings converted to German. For my form I set the Localize property to ture. In my application I am getting the strings as such: this.Text = Properties.Resources.frmCaption; In my release folder I get a de-DE folder with a dll named International_test.resources.dll. I try to distribute this to a machine which is set to German and all of the strings pulled are still english. I tried keeping the International_test.resources.dll in the de-DE folder or just put in in my apps directory. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do to get the German resource file to be used?

    Hello. How can I resize the height of a ListView depending on how many items are in that ListView? I'm trying to get the text of an item which is clicked, however whenever the user clicks on a space which has no item, there's an error. The exact error is: InvalidArgument=Value of '0' is not valid for 'index'. Parameter name: index. I'm using the code: label14.Text = myListView1.SelectedItems[0].Text.ToString(); I figured that removing the space below the items will solve this problem. Thanks!

    I have a windows form (net 2.0) with controls on it bound to an entity (w/ INotifyPropertyChanged) through a BindingSource..works.     How can I check if two System.Drawing.Color structures represent the same color in 16 bit color depth (or generally based on the value of Screen.PrimaryScreen.BitsPerPixel)? Let's say I set Form.TransparencyKey to Value1 (of Color type), I want to check that when the user selects a new background color for the form (Value2), I don't set the entire form transparent. On 32bit color depth screens I simply compare the two values: if (Value1 == Value2) However, this does not work on 16bit color depth screens, as more Color values for the Value2 would represent the same actual 16bit color as Value1, as I found out the hard way.

    Question A. Given 1. A string in rich text format that may have paragraph, tabs, space, line break, indentation, (or even image?) 2. A width for the word wrapping rich text control/editor How do I know the height of the content after it have performed all the word wrapping? Is there something like int MeasureRichTextHeightAfterWordWrap(string aRichTextContent, int aWidth)? Otherwise how does those rich text control know how much to autosize? Do I have to actually place the content on a dummy rich text control and get its height afterwards? Question B. Similar to question A but in plain text onto a plain text memo/control/editor. And manually draw string with manually calculated indentations, breaks, word wrappings. Is it easier or harder?

    I have 2 forms Form1 and Form2, when program executes I want both forms to display but Form2 with ShowDialog(); i.e user has to respond to Form2 before using Form1. How can I achieve this? Form2 will take userinput and will display on Form1, so do I have to hide Form2 after user responds to Form2 or just kill it.

  • Localize node texts in treeview using resource files

    For a project I need a tree view that allows the user to select a module, which then is displayed in a content area. The project relies heavily on localization and this is provided by the resource files. Now I discovered today, that the text that are assigned to preset tree view nodes are not contained in the resource files. So the question is whether there is a way of doing this, short of mapping the elemenst in code. I.e. assigning a name to the node, running over all nodes and pulling the resources from the resouce manager based on the node name.     hello I have my own textbox witch inherits System.Windows.Forms.TextBox I am trying to display texts like 5000000 formatted == 5,000,000 but the problem is that Control.Text should return 5000000 but it should display 5,000,000. I know it is WTF, but i really need it and i couldn't Google a lot because my native language is not English(and anyone can get it from my grammar and Im sorry for that).

  • .NET Form_load priority

    So, the problem is such as this: I have a method that does stuff and updates a progress bar. If I call the method after the form is fully loaded (i.e.: by assigning it to a button on the form) everything works fine. The problem is that I need the method to start working as soon as the form loads, by itself, so I would place it in the Form_Load method. The problem is that even though I call Application.DoEvents() right before calling that method from within Form_Load, the form doesn't show up until the method has completed everything. As I said, if I let the form load first and call the method from another UI element for instance, everything works fine. Thanks in advance.

  • Adding scrollbars to UserControl

    I am trying to add vertical and horizontal scrollbars to my UserControl with the HorizontalScroll and VerticalScroll properties, but I am having extreme issues. My problem arises when I drag or manipulate the scroll box on the bar. When I let it go, it simply jumps back to the start position! I know of the AutoScroll property, but I do not want to use it since I want to be able to control every aspect of my scrollbars, and I don't want it to be done automatically. Also, according to the documentation, AutoScroll is for "[enabling] the user to scroll to any controls placed outside of its visible boundaries" which isn't what I want. I just want scrollbars. ...aaand I suppose I could add VScrollBar and HScrollBar to the control, but why should I do this when the scroll functionality already exists? Seems like a waste to me.

  • WinForm Text Control that displays current character/character limit

    I need a way to display, like you see in some web apps, the current characters/character limit for a Text Control(i.e. 3/500). I usually see this as a label residing directly above or below the Text Control. How is this 'normally' accomplished? Should I override my Text Control somehow? Do I just manually add labels by every Text Control and 'bind' them to properties of the Text Control? Do I need to create a composite control that has the Text Control & Label Controls together to accomplish what I need? Any direction or help will be greatly appreciated.
