  I can succesfully do: point.transform(new OpenLayers.Projection("EPSG:900913"), new OpenLayers.Projection("EPSG:4326")); To a point that is in the google format (in meters), but when I want to do the reverse: point.transform(new OpenLayers.Projection("EPSG:4326"), new OpenLayers.Projection("EPSG:900913")); to a point that is in 4326 (regular lat/lon format), I am having some issues. Any negative value seems to become NaN (not a number) when I do the transformation. Is there something about the transformation in reverse that I don't understand? Edit: Even worse, when I have no negative values, the coordinates seem off. I am getting the coordinates by drawing a square on the screen, then saving those coordinates to a database and loading them later. I can draw a square near the tip of africa (positive coordinates), and then when it loads it's near the top of africa, in the atlantic ocean. I'm definitely doing something wrong....

  In Google Maps v3, I can't seem to get my infoWindow to a width smaller than 200px. • RMI no such object in table, Server communication error

  My goal is to create a Distributed computing program that launches a server and client at the same time. I need it to be able to install on a couple of machines and have all the machines communicating with each other, i.e. Master node and 5 slave nodes all from one application. • SmtpClient.SendAsync - How to ensure my application doesn't finish before callback?

  Hi, I need to send emails asychronously through a console application. I need to do some DB updates on the callback but my application is exiting before the callback code gets run! How can I stop this from happening in a nice manner rather than simply guessing how long to wait before exiting. I would imagine the Async calls get placed in some form of thread? Is it possible to check if any are waiting to be called? The object instantiates its own threading.timer object and carries out a number of background process including periodic interrogation of an oracle database and delivery of emails via smtp according to data detected in the database. • Why is Swing Parser's handleText not handling nested tags?

  I need to transform some HTML text that has nested tags to decorate 'matches' with a css attribute to highlight it (like firefox search). I can't just do a simple replace (think if user searched for "img" for example), so I'm trying to just do the replace within the body text (not on tag attributes). It's like it's only going one level deep. Anyone know why? Is there some simple thing I need to do to HTMLParser (haven't used it much) to enable 'proper' behavior of nested tags? PS - I figured it out myself - see answer below. Short answer is, it works fine if you pass it HTML, not pre-escaped HTML. Doh!   Im trying to perform some function tests in symfony 1.4. My application is secure so the tests return 401 response codes not 200 as expected. I've tried creating a context and authentication the user prior to performing the test but to no avail. Any suggestions? Do I need to pass sfContext to the sfTestFunctional? • Due Date set via EWS is wrong in reminder popup

  I'm having some trouble using EWS with tasks and reminders, specifically, the due date. When I run my code, shown below, the task is added to my exchange account and I can see it fine in outlook. All the data in it looks fine too. However, if I specify to have a reminder for the task, the due date it shows is very wrong. It's usually 17 hours in the future, but the screenshot I've provided shows it being 19 hours in the future. I'm finding it very strange that if I open the task, the due date looks fine, but the reminder is saying it is due well into the future. Any ideas?   Hi all! I'm wanting to output two different views (one as a string that will be sent as an email), and the other the page displayed to a user. Is this possible in ASP.NET MVC beta? I've tried multiple examples: RenderPartial to String in ASP.NET MVC Beta If I use this example, I receive the "Cannot redirect after HTTP headers have been sent.". MVC Framework: Capturing the output of a view If I use this, I seem to be unable to do a redirectToAction, as it tries to render a view that may not exist. If I do return the view, it is completely messed up and doesn't look right at all. Does anyone have any ideas/solutions to these issues i have, or have any suggestions for better ones? Many thanks! • Javascript Square bracket notation for global variables

  I ran into an interesting issue the other day and was wondering if someone could shed light on why this is happening. Here is what I am doing (for the purposes of this example I have dumbed down the example somewhat): I am creating a globally scoped variable using the square bracket notation and assigning it a value. Later I declare a var with the same name as the one I just created above. Note I am not assigning a value. Since this is a redeclaration of the same variable the old value should not be overriden as described here: http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_variables.asp //create global variable with square bracket notation window['y'] = 'old'; //redeclaration of the same variable var y; if (!y) y = 'new'; alert(y); //shows New instead of Old The problem is that the old value actually does get overriden and in the above eg. the alert shows 'new' instead of 'old'. Why ? I guess another way to state my question is how is the above code different in terms of semantics from the code below: //create global variable var y = 'old'; //redeclaration of the same variable var y; if (!y) y = 'new'; alert(y); //shows New instead of Old

• Writing Russian in XML

  Hi, I am writing a Xml Tag Renamer class with Java which reads in a XML, renames the tags and write them back into another XML file using DocumentBuilderFactory and TransformerFactory (text nodes are preserved). It worked fine before with German and English texts, until today, when I tried to rename a XML file with russian text. Instead of the source texts I got ????? in the newly created XML file. I've tried setting Encoding Any idea how to correct this? Thanks! PS. Strings were correct before entering TransformerFactory, as I checked in the debugger. I've tried setting OutputKeys.ENCODING to UTF-8 and ISO-8859-5. None of them helped.   I have a grid and when a row is double clicked a form is loaded. However a lot of data must be loaded, so I'd like to display a simple form with the text 'loading, please wait..'. And when all loading is finished, the form must disappear.   Okay I'm kindoff new to the .NET platform. And currently i'm learning ASP MVC. Do i need to install a virtual smtp server or something?. I sometimes need to create other repository instances within controllers, to pick up data from other places, can I do this using the CW IoC, if so then how? I have been playing around with the creation of new controller classes, as they should auto-register with my existing code (if I can get this working, I can register them properly later) but when I try to instantiate them there is an obvious objection as I can't supply a repos class for the constructor (I was pretty sure that was the wrong way to go about it anyway). • Objective C: Create arrays from first array based on value

  I have an array of strings that are comma separated such as: Steve Jobs,12,CA Fake Name,21,CA Test Name,22,CA Bill Gates,44,WA Bill Nye,21,OR I have those values in an NSScanner object so that I can loop through the values and get each comma seperated value using objectAtIndex. So, what I would like to do, is group the array items into new arrays, based on a value, in this case, State. So, from those, I need to loop through, checking which state they are in, and push those into a new array, one array per state. CA Array: Steve Jobs,12,CA Fake Name,21,CA Test Name,22,CA WA Array: Bill Gates,44,WA OR Array: Bill Nye,21,OR So in the end, I would have 3 new arrays, one for each state. Also, if there were additional states used in the first array, those should have new arrays created also. Any help would be appreciated!
