• How do you save compare options in Visual Studio 2010 > SQL 2012 Database Project

  Been using the new SQL 2012 Data Tools SQL Server Database Project in VS 2010. Every time we do a schema compare we have to set the options for the current compare. This does not seem to be tied back to the global compare options you can set in Tools Options. Does anybody know where to set the 'new' global compare options. NOTE: This is the new SQL 2012 compare from Data Tools, and not the old 2005/2008 compare that comes standard with Studio 2010.

• Java parsing UTF8

  I have the following issue with a UTF8 files structured as following: FIELD1§FIELD2§FIELD3§FIELD4 Looking at hexadecimal values of the file it uses A7 to codify §. So according to this codify it should be UTF8, but it's strange because A7 7F so 1 byte shouldn't be enough to codify §. So I tried using directly a BufferedReader with a specified charset: BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(new FileInputStream(input), utf8)) but when I try to tokenize the string with SmartTokenizer st = new SmartTokenizer(toTokenize, "§") (the SmartTokenizer is a modified version of the StringTokenizer that keeps empty tokens) no splitting occurs, and if I try to print the string I obtain FIELD1?FIELD2?FIELD3?... so § used in the file is different from the one specified as a the delimiter, and it's not able to print out it too. So what's the problem here? Maybe the original file should use 2 bytes to store §?

  Help... I'm using a singleton class to save all my settings info. It's first utilized by calling Settings.ValidateSettings(@"C:\MyApp") The problem I'm having is that 'List Contacts' is causing the xmlserializer to fail to write the settings file, or to load said settings. If I comment out the List then I have no problems saving/loading the xml file. What am I doing wrong... • Google Maps Rollover Problem in a Flex Website

  Hi, I'm using Google Maps in my Flex site to create a map. I've got polygons overlayed on the map. When the user rolls over a polygon an infowindow opens identifying the area and the fill Alpha of the area is set to 0. On roll-out, the info window is removed and the fill Alpha is returned to the default, 0.2. The polygons display and the InfoWindow is added and removed correctly. The problem is that the change in fill alpha only occurs on the very last polygon in the list. So for example, if I have polygons A, B, C, and D. If I rollover A, then A's alpha should change. But, instead D's alpha changes. No matter which polygon I rollover, the last polygon's alpha changes. It's weird, because the infoWindows behave correctly on rollover. So, if I rollover polygon A, the correct information for InfoWindow A appears. • Unit test for Web Forms MVP presenter has a null Model

  I am using Web Forms MVP to write an DotNetNuke user control. When the 'SubmitContactUs' event is raised in my unit test the presenter attempts to set the 'Message' property on the Modal. However the View.Modal is null in the presenter. Shouldn't the Web Forms MVP framework automatically build a new View.Model object in the presenter? It could be that the 'Arrange' portion of my test is missing something that the presenter needs. Any help would be appreciated.   ETA: I have a similar, smaller, problem here which, I suspect, is related to this problem. I have a class which has a readonly property that holds a collection of components (* not quite, see below). At design time, it's possible to select from the components on the design surface to add to the collection. (Think imagelist, but instead of selecting one, you can select as many as you want.) As a test, I inherit from button and attach my class to it as a property. The persistence problem occurs when I add a component,to the collection, from the design surface after I have added my button to the form. Note: You may wonder, why I'm not using AddRange to persist the collection. The reason for this is that if I do, the behaviour changes and none of the items will persist correctly. The designer will create local fields - like Provider1 - for each item in the collection. However if I add another collection to the class which holds the actual MyComponents and persist this, then, somehow, the AddRange method persists correctly in ProviderCollection! There seems to be some kind of quantum double slit experiment going down in code dom. How can I solve this problem?

I been sending mail a lot with asp.net before and never had problems like this before. Now here is where I am thinking that it might be a reverse DNS setup thing on my windows server 2008 issue + some company mails, it becomes spam, i had same issue with hotmail but that was solved when I added the plain. Anybody have had the problem before? I am very thankful for any answer I get.. thanks

  I get this exception after i removed from my project the jars (pdfbox ,bouncycastle etc) and moved them to another folder but i included them in the build path ... at the first line eclipse shows this error( the constructor PDFParser(InputStream) refers to missing type InputStream) -altought FileInputStream is extended from InputStream- and i don't know why?
