    How can I obtain kerning information for GDI to then use in GetKerningPairs? The documentation states that The number of pairs in the lpkrnpair array. If the font has more than nNumPairs kerning pairs, the function returns an error. However, I do not know how many pairs to pass in, and I don't see a way to query for it. EDIT I tried to do the following, however, it still gave me 0. Ex. there is 10% chances that the script calls subscriptions() and 3% chance that the system call the function "specialitems()".   • Trying to use json to populate areas of my website using mysql, php, and jquery.

    Ok, so this is my first attempt at doing anything with JSON. I have done a lot with PHP and MySql as well as jQuery and JavaScript...but nothing with JSON. I have some data in a MySql database. In the codes below i am using a PHP file to retrieve the data from the MySql database and using json_encode to format it to JSON. This file is being called by the JavaScript that runs when the page loads (well, it runs on document.ready actually). I then use jQuery to access the JSON keys and values to fill in areas of the page "dynamically". Here is the code snippets i am using (excuse my "noobness" on writing these snippets, still learning all this).   • C++ DWORD* to BYTE*

    My issue, i am trying to convert and array of dynamic memory of type DWORD to a BYTE. Fair enough i can for loop through this and convert the DWORD into a BYTE per entry. But is their a faster way to do this? to take a pointer to DWORD data and convert the whole piece of data into a pointer to BYTE data? such as using a memcpy operation? I feel this is not possible, im not requesting an answer just an experienced opinion on my approach, as i have tried testing both approaches but seem to fail getting to a solution on my second solution. Thanks for any input, again no answers just a point in the right direction. Nor is this a homework question, i felt that had to be mentioned.

    Hello. I am trying to do some custom things in Django comments form. I have simple tag named "get_flatpage_by_id" that returns flatpage model data as array. This is working I expected: {% get_flatpage_by_id 14 as page %} It's returning flatpage that ID is 14. But this is not working, if I try to pass {{ form.object_pk.data }} (that returns 14). This is how it should look like: {% get_flatpage_by_id form.object_pk.data as page %} Simple tag receives value "form.object_pk.data" (string), not 14. I don't know how to tell Django that "form.object_pk.data" is variable, not a string!

  • AS3 Passing data between objects/classes

    So i a building a categorized menu of different foods. I have a class for "categories" (buttons) which essentially will return a string "salads", "drinks", etc. I now have another class "menuItems" for items within categories and this handles sizes such as "small", "med", "large", etc. My problem now is that when i return "salads", i want to invoke an array which contains all the elements of salads, send it to menuItems which will populate the menu. So far i have both the category objects and the menu object setup. I just cant seem to be able to send the data that the category object is returning and pass it to the menu object. Both of which are added to the stage as shown below: If there was a way that i could say add all these classes to one class so that they can talk to each other that would be great but i dont know how to do this. Been stuck for hours, please any help is greatly appreciated.

    I'm having some difficulties with the following problem: I'm making a little game where you're at a specific spot and each spot has each some possible directions. The available directions are N(ord),E(ast),S,W . I use the function getPosDirections to get the possible directions of that spot. The function returns the directions into an ArrayList<String> e.g. for spot J3: [E,W] Now the game goes like this: 2 dice will be rolled so you get a number between 2 and 12, this number represents the number of steps you can make.     Hi, I'm working on an application that analizes music similarity. In order to do that I proccess audio data and store the results in txt files. For each audio file I create 2 files, 1 containing and 16 values (each value can be like this:2.7000023942731723) and the other file contains 16 rows, each row containing 16 values like the one previously shown. I'd like to store the contents of these 2 file in a table of my MySQL database. My table looks like: Name varchar(100) Author varchar (100) in order to add the content of those 2 file I think I need to use the BLOB data type: file1 blob file2 blob My question is how should I store this info in the data base? I'm working with Java where I have a double array containing the 16 values (for the file1) and a matrix containing the file2 info. Should I process the values as strings and add them to the columns in my database? Thanks

  • Trying to understand the Zend_Auth OpenId

    I'm using a slightly modified version of the Zend_Auth_OpenId classes to get openid logins from google apps. The results are very positive, as I seem to be getting successful results from Google. I cannot get successful results passed to Zend_Auth, though. For example, Zend_Auth_Adapter_OpenId on line 241: if (!$consumer->login($id, $this->_returnTo, $this->_root, $this->_extensions, $this->_response)) { return new Zend_Auth_Result( Zend_Auth_Result::FAILURE, $id, array("Authentication failed", $consumer->getError())); } The consumer calls login() which in turn calls the private method _checkId() in Zend_OpenId_Consumer. _checkId() always ends in redirecting to the openid server. How is this ever supposed to return a valid Zend_Auth_Result object? I'm pretty close to giving up and trying to implement another OpenId library, but I'm so close to just making this work. I must be missing something so obvious! Maybe I don't understand how openid works exactly, but if someone could help me understand I would really appreciate it.

    I've got two (or more) arrays with 12 integers in each (corresponding to values for each month). All I want is to add them together so that I've got a single array with summed values for each month. Here's an example with three values: [1,2,3] and [4,5,6] = [5,7,9] The best I could come up with was: [[1,2,3],[4,5,6]].transpose.map{|arr| arr.inject{|sum, element| sum+element}} #=> [5,7,9] Is there a better way of doing this? It just seems such a basic thing to want to do.
