  • HTML5 Webapp as regular icon or app on iPhone and Andorid.

    Hi all, Sorry if this is a noob question, I searched quite a bit and couldn't find an answer. I'm developing a html5 app that relies on sqlite for local storage. I'd like for it to appear as an app icon on the iPhone/Android screen, what's the best way to do this? Ie can I write some sort of "wrapper" app to achieve it? Thanks!

  • No IO exception reported for socket operation when the interface is removed

    The wifi network is connected, the application setup a socket connection and exchange data with the remote server. But when turn off the wifi, the inteface is removed, while socket operation read/write on this socket is still like normal, no any IO exception reported. The application has to do some extra checking to avoid waiting for the data forever. Is this the normal case for Android design? Is there any plan to fix it?

    First, I can assume that all urls that end with jpeg, jpg, bmp, png or gif are images, and others aren't. I thought of, and tried two solutions: Matching the regular expression .(jpe?g|bmp|png|gif)$ Using ends-with to check each separately But, it appears that neither of these exist in XPath 1.0, or at least, they don't exist in Firefox (I am writing a greasemonkey script, so it is only important for the path to work in Firefox).

    I'm moving my application from 3.x to 4.x as I prepare for the app store and found that I need to have 2 copies of all my custom pngs - my question is how can I determine what img to show and when. Example - how do I know to show the Find.png vs the [email protected] Is it "safe" or "correct" to look for 4.x specific apis or does the iphone have a way to determine what platform you are on at runtime?     Hi I am working on a locally served copy of a remote site and I don't want to have to download all the images rtelated to the site so I thought i could come up with a mod_rewrite rule for to grab images from the remote server if the are not found this is the code that i have <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [NC] RewriteRule ^/(.*\.(png|gif|jpg|jpeg)) https://www.exmple.com/$1 [NC,P,L] </IfModule> The page is still giving me 404's for images that are on the remote server, so this rule is not working. I do know that the htaccess is being processed because rules later in the IfModule mod_rewrite.c block are being used. (i simplified my code sample but this is the first rule in the IfModule mod_rewrite.c block)

    I am using tinymce. It works great. But i want the feature in tinymce where user can upload the images from local box/or from public websites. I am using tomcat ,jsps and core java.I found couple of free third party libraries like ibrowser ,imanager,jbimages etc but all of them using PHP which looks like does not fit in my existing project (i dont know PHP but i tried to integrate one of these in my existing project they don't work and gives some weird error.) Really i am not sure how to have this feature in tinymce(if some other editor support it with jsps i can try that)?

  • jquery easy image slider

    Using easy slider to scroll through Images . It's working occasionally (on a refresh), but more often not. The height of the slide and also the position get screwed up on load for seconds. This style was applied to the style="width: 1308px; height: 70px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;" I'm not sure where it's pulling those values from (height and width) the slide not expanding vertically to reveal the content and the slide being out of position horizontally. I have this style applied to #slider width:538px; height:auto; overflow:hidden; but they're not being passed correctly.

  • Fast image coordinate lookup in Numpy

    I've got a big numpy array full of coordinates (about 400): [[102, 234], [304, 104], .... ] And a numpy 2d array my_map of size 800x800. What's the fastest way to look up the coordinates given in that array? I tried things like paletting as described in this post: http://opencvpython.blogspot.com/2012/06/fast-array-manipulation-in-numpy.html but couldn't get it to work. I was also thinking about turning each coordinate into a linear index of the map and then piping it straight into my_map like so: my_map[linearized_coords] but I couldn't get vectorize to properly translate the coordinates into a linear fashion. Any ideas?
