  • Flash Builder missing fundamental things

    All of a sudden Flash Builder 4 is missing all kinds of fundamental things and is generating incorrect errors. I've had the same issue yesterday, where I fixed it by downloading a new Flex SDK and importing that into FB. I did this again, but this time it fixed nothing. I don't think it's something I did, like removing critical references from the build path. The errors also appeared on projects I was not working on at the time. It occurs for ActionScript, Flex and Flex Library projects alike.   • How can you replace the src of an image that points to mjpeg?

    I have an application that displays images from network cameras. The application will show multiple images on a single page. Each image container has a button on it that causes jQuery to scale that image up to fill a 64x480 div vs much smaller when multiple images are present. I change the src in the image with jquery as you'd expect: $("#imageId").attr("src", "http://cameraUrl.com:6000?width=640&height=480&d="+date.getTime()); the date.getTime() is intended to override the caching in a browser. It works for retrieving still images. Sometimes the video changes to the larger resolution. Other times it just sticks with the original image scaled up to fit the larger div as if it is not loading the new URL. This is evident by the fact it's grainy and the text overlay from the camera is scaled up. Occasionally the image finally loads in the higher resolution version and it works evidenced by the image clarity and the text overlay scaling to what it should be. Is there a correct way to force the setting of an image src where the src points to a motion jpeg stream to reload?

    I have inhertied a sequential sharepoint workflow which deals with multiple tasks for different people; multi step approval based on certain condition..For each approval new task is created and monitored...For some reason; we have decided to use single task for the whole workflow and the single task will get assigned to required person at different stages...this will help us reduce the cluter in the task list For refactoring it; I am trying to create "CreateOrUpdateTaskAndWaitForCompletition" activity...so that I can use this component multiple times as per given workflow. Create/Wait branch of my activity works fine; as I have the correlation token within the activity. But when I try two instances of this activity; task is created in first activity and it needs to be updated in second instance where I dont have the correlation token. In the second instance; (Update/Wait branch) I have tried updating the task through code activity but its not working and I am getting "This task is currently locked by a running workflow and cannot be edited" exception! Can I use UpdateTask activity without correlation token? Can I programmatically update the workflow task? Can I programmatically unlock the workflow task?

    I have a tblMachineReports with the columns: Status(varchar),LogDate(datetime),Category(varchar), and MachineID(int). I want to retrieve the latest status update from each category for every machine, so in effect getting a snapshot of the latest statuses of all the machines unique to their MachineID. The table data would look like Category - Status - MachineID - LogDate cata - status1 - 001 - date1 cata - status2 - 002 - date2 catb - status3 - 001 - date2 catc - status2 - 002 - date4 cata - status3 - 001 - date5 catc - status1 - 001 - date6 catb - status2 - 001 - date7 cata - status2 - 002 - date8 catb - status2 - 002 - date9 catc - status2 - 001 - date10 Restated, I have multiple machines reporting on multiple statuses in this tblMachineReports. All the rows are created through inserts, so their will obviously be duplicate entries for machines as new statuses come in. None of the columns can be predicted, so I can't do any ='some hard coded string' comparisons in any part of the select statement. For the sample table I provided, the desired results would look like: Category - Status - MachineID - LogDate catc - status2 - 002 - date4 cata - status3 - 001 - date5 catb - status2 - 001 - date7 cata - status2 - 002 - date8 catb - status2 - 002 - date9 catc - status2 - 001 - date10 What would the select statement look like to achieve this, getting the latest status for each category on each machine, using MS SQL Server 2008? I have tried different combinations of subqueries combined with aggregate MAX(LogDates)'s, along with joins, group bys, distincts, and what-not, but have yet to find a working solution.

  • Comet and Simultaneous Ajax request

    Hi , I am trying to use a COMET solution using ASP.NET . Trouble is i want to implement sending and notification part in the same page. On IE7, whenever i try to send a request ,it just gets queued up. After reading on internet and stackoverflow pages i found that i can only do 2 simultaneous asyn ajax requests per page. So until i close my comet Ajax request,my 2nd request doesnt get completed ,doesnt even go out from the browser. And when i checked with Firefox i just one Ajax comet request running all time..so doesnt that leave me one more ajax request? Also the solution uses IRequiressessionstate for Asynchronous HTTP Handler which i had removed.but still it creates problems on multiple instances of IE7. I had one work around which is stated here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282402 it means we can increase the request limit from registry by default is 2. By changing "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server" key in hive "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" we can increase the number of requests. Basically i want to broadcast information to multiple clients connected to a server using Comet and the clients can also send messages to the Server. Broadcasting works but the send request back to server doesnt work. Im using IIS 6 and ASP.NET . Are there any more workarounds or ways to send more requests?   • What do I do about recurring billing?

    This might be a subjective question, but I'll give it a go. There are already a number of questions on SO that revolves around subscription billing management. I am currently working on a SaaS solution that will require a fully automated billing system. What I am not looking for when asking this question is not advice on implementing towards a specific payment gateway or stuff like that. Instead I'd like advice on what kind of approach to take. The functionality that I need is a system that can handle upgrades, downgrades, recurring billing, cancellations, etc. Initially for one product only, but it might over time be a requirement that the system can handle multiple products (by products I mean fundamentally different products, not different variations of the same product). As I see it there are a number of possible approaches when you need a solution like this: Code a billing server yourself that supports this and is decoupled from each product so that it can handle multiple independent products. Use a hosted solution like Recurly, Chargify, Spreedly or CheddarGetter. The advantage of using a hosted solution is obviously that you don't need PCI certification, the concern is outsourced and it is a lot faster to get up and running. These advantages come at a cost however: The most important support function for your product - i.e. the billing is not in your control. Additionally you have less control and flexibility. What would you do? If we look beyond the PCI requirements I would definately prefer to have a system coded in-house that could do this kind of job. On the other hand I've heard from numerous sources that coding a system like this is a pain. Any advice is highly appreciated. Also, if you advice to code it yourself, any experiences on how to do it or if there are any opensource projects (no matter the language, what I'm after is not the code but the structure) that I can benefit from would really mean alot.   • UpdatePanel doesn't load correctly on second try

    Ok, I've got two UpdatePanels on a (relatively simple) CRUD-management page, and I'm having some issues with them. The first updatepanel fails the second time it's updated (infinite loading popout, page doesn't change, request comes back properly but apparently isn't used). The second updatepanel fails if the first updatepanel has updated first, or if a certain internal trigger is pressed twice. Interestingly, the first updatepanel can be called multiple times with no problems if the first has yet to be called. layout example: <updatepanel> <table> <trigger> </table> </updatepanel> <lightbox> <updatepanel> <multiple triggers> </updatepanel> </lightbox> The use of the second updatepanel is required for the lightbox to function correctly (so it can't just be one big one). The first updatepanel exhibits this behaviour regardless of whether the second is present on the page or not. Has anyone ever experienced similar problems/have any ideas?

    I'm following the Java EE firstcup tutorial with Netbeans 6.8 and it says: With the firstcup project selected in the Projects pane, expand Configuration File and double-click faces-config.xml. Click PageFlow in the top left corner of the editor pane to display the visual navigation editor. I can't find that PageFlow mentioned. Where should I look for that button in the IDE? Am I missing any plugin or something?

    Dear All I have a WCF Service Deployed in a Console App with BasicHTTPBinding and SSL enabled on port using NetSH command and more over following attribute is set as well. [AspNetCompatibilityRequirements(RequirementsMode = AspNetCompatibilityRequirementsMode.Allowed)] And also i have set the Throttling behavior as <serviceThrottling maxConcurrentCalls="2147483647" maxConcurrentSessions="2147483647" maxConcurrentInstances="2147483647" /> On the other hand i have created a Test Client(for load test) that initiates multiple clients simultaneously(multiple threads) and performs transactions on server. everything seems fine and working properly but on server the CPU utilization is doesn't grow so i added some logging to view the number of concurrent calls to the server and found that its never went over 6. i have reviewed the performance counter logging code more than twice and it seems fine to me. So i want to ask where is the problem in this situation and one more thing i haven't specified any kind of ContextMode or ConcurrencyMode yet. After this Post I noticed that whenever i start another Intance of Test Client my concurrent Server Calls counter increase to 2 like if i am running only 1 instance the maximum Concurrent Rcvd Calls will be 2 and if there are two instance the same value goes to 4 and so on. Is there any limit of Number of WCF Calls from once process? Looking for help Mubashar *Added on 17-March******************* Today i ran another test with one test client(with 50 concurrent users) on the same machine on which the server is running this time i am getting exact result what i wanted it to show i.e. Maximum concurrent Calls Rcvd by Server = 50 but i need to do it the same on others machines as well.     Hi, I am trying to automate the creation of team projects using a command built into VS 2010 called File.BatchNewTeamProject using a project settings file as an argument, and executing this as a process silently in the background from my c# win app. I am aware of a requirement that Team Explorer has to be open and connected to TFS before this command can run, however, when I start a process with devenv.exe, a fresh instance of visual studio pops up with Team Explorer not connected by default. How can I solve this problem?

    I am entering mobile development. I have been working primarily in .NET since 1.0 came out in beta. Before that, I was mostly a C++ and Delphi guy and still dabble in C++ from time to time. I do web apps quite a bit so I am reasonably proficient with Javascript, JQuery and CSS. I have also done a few Java applications. I started web programming with CGI and live mostly in the ASP.NET MVC world these days. I am trying to decide on which platform/OS and tool to select. I am concerned with the size of the market available for my applications as well as the marketibility of the skills I will pick up. The apps I have in mind would work on both phones and pads. Some aspects of what I have in mind will play better on the bigger screens that will be available on pads. Here are the options I am considering: Apple iPhone/iPad using pure Apple SDK (Objective-C) Apple iPhone/iPad using Mono Touch (C#) Android using pure Android SDK (Java) Multiple platforms using something like Titanium to generate native apps from web technologies (HTML, CSS and Javascript) Multiple platforms using HTML5 web applications that run in the browser (HTML, CSS and Javascript). Which option would you choose? Do you have a different suggestion? What are the pros and cons?

    Hello All I am looking for sub version solution for iPhone applications (xCode Projects). i have tried Rapid SVN and SCPlugin but both plugins are not so use full and it behaved randomly like giving error like "file is locked" etc.. So is there any powerful solution for same. One more think i am not able to figure out that why only few files are updated while taking SVN update, same with SVN commit. can you all give some helpful information on same?   • Adding AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers with MSBuild

    I am using CC.Net with MSBuild tasks to build an application that is composed of a number of solutions and projects. We are using the AssemblyInfo MSBuild Community task to update version info in AssemblyInfo.cs. Unfortunately the AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers attribute doesn't get in and the AssemblyInfo task tells me that the AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers attribute is not supported by the task. Is there any way to add that attribute through MSBuild without having to resort to a custom task that just tacks the line at the end of the file after-the-fact?
