• Latex: stretchable curly braces outside math

  Hi, I am producing some latex beamer slides (but I think it is not a beamer specific question per se). I have the following: \begin{itemize} \item Issue1 \item Issue2 \item Issue3 \end{itemize} Now, I want to have a right curly brace (i.e. '}') behind the items spreading over issue1 and issue2. And of course I want to write something behind that curly brace. In a perfect world I would write something like: \begin{itemize} \left . \item Issue1 \item Issue2 \right \} One and Two are cool \item Issue3 \end{itemize} This does not work because I am not in a math environment and I can not put the whole snippet inside a math environment because itemize would not work in that case. • ASP.Net partially ignoring my Custom error section in web.config

I've removed the entry for 403 in IIS (7.0) as a desperate last attempt and unsuprisingly that made no difference. I've run out of ideas now so any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated!

• Ruby on Rails check box not updating on form submission

  I have an entries controller that allows users to add contact information the website. The user-submitted information isn't visible to users until the administrator checks a check box and submits the form. • AVPlayer seeking to a different point after app resume

  I have an AVPlayer, the video in it is ~2 seconds long. After the video plays, if the app goes to the background and reenters the foreground I need the video to still be shown exactly as it was when the app was exited. The AVPlayer sticks around just fine, however when I reenter the app from the background the video appears to be seeked to the middle of the video. However, if I just play the video, it starts from the beginning, so it doesn't seem like it actually seeked and is just showing a preview image. I've tried to auto-seek the video to the end on relaunch but nothing happens . Nothing I can figure out or find in the docs would describe this behavior. Any tips on having the video launch either at the beginning or end?

  I have a code, that checks the current date when a form is loaded, performs a simple calculation, and appends a SQL in Delphi. It works on Windows 7 with Delphi 7, and on another computer with Xp, but doesn't on 3 other computers with Xp. When the form is loaded it shows a "Type mismatch in expression", and points to the line after the append. • Drupal Views how to filter items overlapping a date range

  Hi, in Drupal I have used CCK to add a datetime field to my custom data type. It inserts start date and end date fields. That is what I want. Now, I want Views to filter and show only the items that have the daterange (start date and end date) overlapping today's date. Any ideas on how to set it up on Views? What I think is strange is that the date fields of my custom content type don't seem to appear on the Views list when I am trying to add a filter. Thanks.

• FreeNas running on ESXi - sometimes gets very slugish.

  Hello everyone, I have a ESXi server (dual quad core, 8GB of DDR3 ram, 6x 1TB WD Blacks running in RAid 5 on the PErc 6/i controller. I have a 64bit freenas VM running, on this VM I keep about 200Gigs of stuff that my windows machines access. every now and then the throughput of this VM just dies, for example right now it can't even handle streaming a song and when I tried to transfer a folder the speed goes from 10-400KB/s. Might I add at this point that the ESXi box has dual gigabit network cards plugged into a good solid gigabit switch and other linux and windows VM's are just fine I have seen speeds over 90MB/s (frequently) The server still has ram left over (plenty actually) and cpu is very low (500-1000mhz) any ideas what could cause this? thanks.   I restarted my slave to change configuration settings to skip reverse hostname lookup on connecting and to enable the slow query log. I edited /etc/my.cnf making only these changes, then restarted mysqld with /etc/init.d/mysql restart All appeared to be well but when I connect to msyqld remotely or locally though it connects okay a slight problem is that mysqld crashes whenever you try to issue any kind of statement. • Running pl/sql in Korn Shell(AIX)

  I have a file to execute in Ksh written by someone. It has a set of commands to execute in sqlplus. It starts with, sqlplus -s $UP <<- END followed by a set of ddl commands such as create,drop,etc., When I execute the file in the shell, I get the error in the starting line quoted above. I understand "-s" starts the sqlplus in silent mode and $UP is the connection string with username/password. But I couldn't make heads or tails of "<<- END" part(Many sites from google says input redirection is "<<" not "<<-"). So I presumed the error must be in that part and removed it from the file. Now it reads, sqlplus -s $UP But once I execute the file, It waits for input from the shell, instead of reading the rest of the lines from the file. How would I make sqlplus to execute the ddl commands in the rest of the file?. Thanks in advance.

How do I tell the compiler everything is actually just fine since the original class synthesizes the property for me?

  Hello, If there an easy way to get a completed SQL statement back after parameter substitution? I.e., I want to keep a logfile of all the SQL this program runs. Or if I want to do this, will I just want to get rid of Parameters, and do the whole query the old school way, in one big string?
