  • sub menu border calls onmouseout event

    I've created a simple menu and submenu with tags(not allowed to use ul elements). To access the submenu the user hovers their mouse over the menu item. I use the onmouseover and onmouseout events to either show or hide the sub menu depending on which item is selected. A pipe (|) is used to seperate each submenu item and this is what is causing me problems. When a user hovers their mouse above the pipe character the subMenu div calls the onmouseout event which is not what I want. So I added padding around the pipe character and a minus margin so that there were no gaps between the pipe character and the other elements. This worked for all browsers including IE8.     I'm trying to select all the <input> elements of a form except ones with IDs containing the words foo or bar. How can I do this using ExtJS 2.3.0? I've tried the following: Ext.query("select,input:not([id*=foo][id*=bar])", "SomeForm");` ... but it doesn't work. Excluding IDs with foo in them seems to work fine: Ext.query("select,input:not([id*=foo])", "SomeForm")` I'm just not sure how to add a second ID substring. Any Ideas?

  • Querying my JPA provider (Hibernate) for a collection of <Id,Name> of an entity

    Hi, I have an entity which looks something like this: Id (PK) Name Other business properties and associations... I have the need for my DAL (JPA with hibernate as provider) to return a list of the entities which correlate to some constraints (or just return them all) but instead of returning the entities themselves I'd like to receive only the Id and the Name properties. I know this can be achieved with HQL/SQL (something like: select id,name from entity where...) but I don't want to go down that road. I was thinking of somehow defining the pair a compositioned part of the entity and thought that might help me but I'm not sure that's "legal" as the Id is the PK. The logic for this scenario is to have a textbox which asynchronously queries the web-service (and through it the DAL) for the relevant entities and once an entity is selected then it is loaded as a whole and shipped to the front-end.     Hi all, I want to delete all records in a mysql db except the record id's I have in a list. The length of that list can vary and could easily contain 2000+ id's, ... Currently I convert my list to a string so it fits in something like this: cursor.execute("""delete from table where id not in (%s)""",(list)) Which doesn't feel right and I have no idea how long list is allowed to be, .... What's the most efficient way of doing this from python? Altering the structure of table with an extra field to mark/unmark records for deletion would be great but not an option. Having a dedicated table storing the id's would indeed be helpful then this can just be done through a sql query... but I would really like to avoid these options if possible. Thanks,

    I feel like this is a simple question, but I am still relatively new to javascript and jquery. I am developing a site for a touch interface that uses unordered lists and jquery .click functions to take input data. I have a section to input a m:ss time, with 3 divs, each containing a list of digits for time. I need to get the input for each column and set it as a variable. I originally designed the inputs to change form inputs, because I didn't understand javascript very much. It was easy to change the 3 hidden inputs by using div id's, but I can't figure out how to do it now with javascript variables. Here is my original jquery code... $("div#time>div>ul>li").click(function() { var id = $(this).parents(".time").attr("name"); var number = $(this).html(); $("input#"+id).val(number); }); The last line sets one of 3 hidden inputs equal to whatever was clicked. I need to make it so separate variables take the inputs, then I can manipulate those variables however I want.   • jQuery: Triggering a click on an img not working

    I'm testing in Chrome. I have a bunch of 'add item' icons on screen that the user can click in order to add that one item to the database. I also have a button at the botton of that list, which should add the whole list of items. It seems to me that the easiest way to do this is to trigger the 'click' event for all these icons (the reason I'm doing it via the icons is that items-specific values are stored as attributes of the div in which the icon resides). However, I can't get it to work: the event handlers for the individual icons work perfectly, and the event handler for the add-them-all button does give me an alert if I put that in. But if I add the I read some posts that suggest browsers don't allow you to trigger click events, so I added a 'hover' event listener to the icons to see if the problem is in the type of event I want to trigger. Answer: no, same story: the alert will work, but the trigger won't. I have placed the icon event listener in the code before the button event listener. What's going on? Twecs
