  • out of memory error , my app's fault?

    hello all, i have a aplication on the android market , in wich exceptions and errors are catched and sent to me by acra. But i receive quite a lot out of memory errors.. In different kind of classes...some my app, some general java.. Does this always mean there is a problem in my app, or can it also be the phone ran out of memory due to a other process? Will users also get a fc dialog ? thnks

    I'm wondering specifically what experienced programmers thought when they started developing in Python. I'm sure the answer depends on your background, but my own personal answer is the conversion of basically anything in the language to a True/False value in boolean contexts. Resulting in "oddities" like: if x: not meaning the same thing as: if x == True: I understand why, but it bugs me, and I certainly had to think about it a bit when I first ran into it.

    In my Django app, I just ran $ python manage.py sqlall and I see a lot of SQL statements that look like this, when describing FK relationships: ALTER TABLE `app1_model1` ADD CONSTRAINT model2_id_refs_id_728de91f FOREIGN KEY (`model2_id`) REFERENCES `app1_model2` (`id`); Where does "7218de91f" come from? I would like to know because I'd like to manually write SQL statements to accompany models changes in the app so that my db's can be kept up to date.

  • CSS Unwanted padding in IE using floats.

    It's been a long day of designing and I ran into a problem today. The website www.dcninc.com/newtest/security_testing.php is a new design I'm working on at work right now. If you view it in Firefox you will notice there is no padding on the 2 right boxes (I did that on purpose to trouble shoot my problem) However if you view that same page in IE, it adds padding to the right side.     Hi everyone im new to a PHP framework codeIgniter, I am going over the user guide iv ran in to a problem, I am on the part where you load helper file but for some reason my code just isnt working I keep getting this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function anchor() in /home/fresherd/public_html/CI/system/application/views/blogview.php on line 17 now im not 100% sure that it is loading the helper file this could be causing the but I am not sure how to detect the file has been loaded any advice will help many thanks, Alan

    Just looking on resources that break down how frames per second work. I know it has something to do with keeping track of Ticks and figure out how many ticks occured between each frame. But I never ran into any resources on why exactly you have to use the methods you use in order to get a smooth frame work. I am trying to get a thourough understanding of this.   • UIView animation cancels previous animation?

    Hi I have an NSTIMER that counts the time, and on t = 10, it fires an animation but during that time it might happen that another animation is running. This causes the previously running animation to cut off. Any idea? i thought UIVIEW animations were ran in diff threads. I cannot use a willstop selector here since t = 10 might happen while another animation is running and might not have ended yet.

    In the Android open-source qemu code I ran across this line of code: machine->max_cpus = machine->max_cpus ?: 1; /* Default to UP */ It this just a confusing way of saying: if (machine->max_cpus) { ; //do nothing } else { machine->max_cpus = 1; } If so, wouldn't it be clearer as: if (machine->max_cpus == 0) machine->max_cpus = 1; Interestingly, this compiles and works fine with gcc, but doesn't compile on http://www.comeaucomputing.com/tryitout/ .

    hi I have created an application in VStudio. It ran nicely in debugging mode, but my computer became slower and slower as I worked until it finaly became frozen. after I manualy restarted it, the app wasn't running any more in debug and I get this execption in the browser. Only I am connected right now to the app. I have restarted the computer so there coudn't be any instance of a client connected I have removed and reinstalled the IIS what is wrong?

  • C# Console Program Won't Execute from Command Prompt

    I have made a very simple program in C#. When I double click the compiled exe, it executes and works. When I run the exe from the command prompt, it does absolutely nothing. I have tried executing it from an Administrator command prompt also. I am on Windows 7. This is very frustrating. The only command the program executes when ran is SendMessageW(Process.GetCurrentProcess().MainWindowHandle, WM_APPCOMMAND, Process.GetCurrentProcess().MainWindowHandle, (IntPtr)APPCOMMAND_VOLUME_MUTE);

    I have a root view controller with no nib file, I tried adding this at cellForRowAtIndexPath as that passes in a UITableView as tableView. So I put : tableView = [[UITableView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.frame style:UITableViewStyleGrouped]; It ran with no error but it didnt seem to change anything.

    What would be the least-slow thread-safe mechanism for controlling multiple accesses to a collection in Java? I am adding objects to the top of a collection and i am very unsure what would be the best performing collection. Would it be a vector or a queue? I originally thought an ArrayList would be fast but i ran some experiments and it was very slow. EDIT: In my insertion testing a Vector delared using volatile seems to be the fastest?

    I have put together a Skin for OpenHome but have since ran across AHome code for their IPhone theme and was wondering that if I included for AHome their Dock_Bg or widget_drawer among other things which is not on OpenHome that the Launcher for the respective screen replacement would just call the items it uses.I want to keep the mb as low as I can but reach more handsets.I can just make seperate ones but see many that include even Freshface as well as OpenHome and AHome.

    I have this loop for (it= someCollection.iterator; it.hasNext(); ) { //some code here } I changed it to: for (it= someCollection.iterator;; ) { if (!it.hasNext()) break; //some code here } The second code ran a little bit faster in unit tests in junit on eclipse. Is the second loop faster? I'm asking because the times given by Junit are not too exact, but they give an approximate value

  • sonar code coverage issue

    Hi I am running sonar for my impl class, i have written junit for all the methods of impl class but when i ran the sonar the code coverage is just 11% and all the file is in red color. stating that the code is not covered.
