TinyMCE: Double forecolor and backcolor buttons?

I'm having a problem using TinyMCE. In IE8, the forecolor and backcolor, for some random reason, is displayed twice. See picture below. Design of Business Layer

Hi, We are currently revamping our architecture and design of application. We have just completed design of Data Access Layer which is generic in the sense that it works using XML and reflection to persist data. Any ways now we are in the phase of designing business layer. We have read some books related to Enterprise Architecture and Design so we have found that there are few patterns that can be applied on business layer. Table Pattern and Domain Model are example of such patterns. Also we have found Domain Driven Design as well. Earlier we decided to build Entities against table objects. But we found that there is difference in Entities and Value Objects when it comes to DDD. For those of you who have gone through such design. Please guide me related to pattern, practice and sample. Thank you in advance! Also please feel free to discuss if you didn't get any point of mine.

DataGridView lags for a second with large data updates

I have a DataGridView with about 400 rows and 10 columns. When the user first displays this table, it receives all of the data from the server and populates the table. The DGV uses a DataTable as it's data source, and when updating the DataTable I use row.BeginEdit/EndEdit and acceptChanges, but when the View itself is updated it lags for a second while all of the DGV is being updated. I am wondering if there is a way to make this smooth, so that for example, if the user is scrolling through the data and it updates, it won't interrupt the scrolling. Or if the user is moving the display around the screen and it updates, it won't interrupt. Is there an easy way to do this? If not, is there away to prevent the DGV from updating the view until all events have ended so it won't be repainted until the user stops scrolling, dragging, etc ?

How to build an interactive search engine web interface using python

I have build a static web interface for searching data from some tables in my PostgreSQL database. The query website consists of a simple textfield for entering the search term, the result website presents the results as a simple html table. The server side code for searching the PostgreSQL database and returning the results is written in python using psycopg2. Now I would like to add some interactive "Ajax features" to my search engine. When entering the search term I would like to be able to see a list of possible search terms like Google does it. On the results page, I would like to be able to sort the table showing the results. What would be the easiest/recommended way to implement these features for my search engine web site? Do I need a full-fledged web framework like Django for that?

Hi guys, I have been charged with the task of analysing the log table of my company's website. This table contains a user's click path throughout the website for a given session. My company is looking to understand/spot trends based on the 'click paths' of our users. In doing so, identify groups of users that take on a certain 'click path' based on age/geography and so on. As you can tell from the title, I am completely new to BI and its capabilities so I was wondering: Are our objectives attainable? How should I go about doing this? I am currently reading books online as well as other e-books I have found. All signs seem to suggest this is possible via sequence clustering. Although the exact implementation and tweaks involved are currently lost on me. Therefore, if anyone has first hand experience in such an undertaking, I would be awesome if you could share it here. What I would like to achieve is efficiently 1) resolve (last valid) item by path (e.g. "/blogs/programming/tags/asp.net,sql-server", "/blogs/programming/hello-world" ) 2) get ancestor items for breadcrump 3) edit an item without updating the whole tree of children, grand children etc. Because of the 3rd point I thought the table could be like ITEM id type slug title parentId 1 area blogs Blogs 2 blog programming Programming blog 1 3 tagsearch tags 2 4 post hello-world Hello World! 2 Could I use Sql Server's hierarchyid type somehow (especially point 1, "/blogs/programming/tags" is the last valid item)? Efficiency of checking for null varbinary(max) column ?

Using SQL Server 2008. Example table : CREATE table dbo.blobtest (id int primary key not null, name nvarchar(200) not null, data varbinary(max) null) Example query : select id, name, cast((case when data is null then 0 else 1 end) as bit) as DataExists from dbo.blobtest Now, the query needs to return a "DataExists" column, that returns 0 if the blob is null, else 1. This all works fine, but I'm wondering how efficient it is. i.e. does SQL server need to read in the whole blob to its memory, or is there some optimization so that it just does enough reads to figure out if the blob is null or not ? (FWIW, the sp_tableoption "large value types out of row" option is set to OFF for this example).

SSRS: Report label position dynamic

I have a report which displays customer address in multiple labels. My customers use windowed envelopes for mailing. I need the address labels position to be configurable. Something like, I'll have a database table which stores the Top/Left position of each label per customer. Based on this table, I need to position the address labels on my report. I thought, it is doable by expressions, but Location property doesn't provides ability to set an expression and make the label's top and left dynamic. Anybody, any ideas, on how to achieve this?

How to implement multi relationship in MS SQL?

I’m trying to design a database to use with ASP.net MVC application. Here is the scenario: There are three entities and users can post their comments for each of these different entities. I just wonder how just put one table for Comments and link all other entities to it. Obviously, Comments table needs 3 references (foreign key) to those tables but as you know these foreign keys can’t be null and just one of them can be filled for each row. What is the problem with the logic in my UPDATE statement?

I want to update tblOrderHead with the content from tblCustomer where the intDocumentNo corresponds to the parameter @intDocumentNo. But when I run the my statement, the order table is only updated with the content from the first row of the customer table. What is the problem with my logic? I use Microsoft SQL Server. SQLServer 2008 Pivot

I need to show some information in a graph, the data is held in a SQL Server 2008 table. The graph is expecting 2 columns, one for QuestionNumber and the other for Score. The table containing the data has column names that correspond to the question numbers ie A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, B2, B3, B4, C1, C2. Each question is given a score of 1 to 5. I need to show a graph where the X axis shows A1, A2, A3 etc and the Y axis shows the score. I'm thinking I somehow need to rotate the data to achive this, but I'm not sure how. Maybe a different technique can acheive this rather that a Rotate, so I'm open to any ideas.

Relationship Modelling in Core Data

Hi there, I'm fairly new to Objective C and Core Data and have a problem designing a case where players team up one-on-one and have multiple matches that end up with a specific result. With MySQL, I would have a Player table (player primary key, name) and a match table (player A foreign key, player B foreign key, result). Now how do I do this with Core Data? I can easily tie a player entity to a match entity using a relationship. But how do I model the inverse direction for the second player ref. in the match entity? VARCHAR does not work as expected in Apache Derby

I'm having this same problem: How can I truncate a VARCHAR to the table field length AUTOMATICALLY in Derby using SQL? To be specific: CREATE TABLE A ( B VARCHAR(2) ); INSERT INTO A B VALUES ('1234'); would throw a SQLException: A truncation error was encountered trying to shrink VARCHAR '123' to length 2. that is already answered: No. You should chop it off after checking the meta-data. Or if you don't wanna check the meta-data everytime, then you must keep both your code and database in sync. But thats not a big deal, its a usual practice in validators. but my doubt is: isn't VARCHAR suppose to variate its size to fit the data? What's wrong with apache derby's VARCHAR?
