  Hello If I have a JSF backing bean return an object of type ArrayList, I should be able to use to iterate over the elements in the list. Each element contains a map and although the question of how to access the map content through JSTL has been answered here, if I pass an array of such maps, I can't find how to iterate over them and still access the map content using JSTL. There's documentation which refers to simple iterators but not to those whose items are themselves maps. BalusC, I'm not trying to force the issue, just that I've been looking at this all day, and still cannot seem to be able to output the contents of my data structure through jsp (only on the console). This as a separate question still has merit. If anyone can give me a simple example of how a java List is iterated over in JSP I'd be massively appreciative. Mark

It seems each Assembly is accompanied with its own "ClassLoader". Why like this? Is this a litte noisy? Why not just assign one "ClassLoader" to a AppDomain and use it to load all the used Assembly into the AppDomain? Isnt't this design more elegant? Many thanks.

  I'm using tagsoup to clean some HTML I'm scraping from the internet, and I'm getting the following error when parsing through pages with comments: The data "- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - " is not legal for a JDOM comment: Comment data cannot start with a hyphen. • Why is my masm32 program crashing whenever I try using interrupts?

  Here's the code: .386 ;target for maximum compatibility .model small,stdcall ;model .code main: int 20h END main Result: http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/3738/resultom.png "test.exe has stopped working" - always right when it reaches the interrupt. This is the interrupt I'm trying to use. It should simply exit the program. Others I've tried include character input/output, etc.. Nothing works. I'm on windows 7, using masm32 with the WinAsm IDE. There are so many cool things it seems I should be able to do with interrupts... however, it crashes whenever I try to use an interrupt - always the same way. • How can I make mock-0.6 return a sequence of values?

  I'm using the mock-0.6 library from http://www.voidspace.org.uk/python/mock/mock.html to mock out a framework for testing, and I want to have a mock method return a series of values, each time it's called. Right now, this is what I figured should work: def returnList(items): def sideEffect(*args, **kwargs): for item in items: yield item yield mock.DEFAULT return sideEffect mock = Mock(side_effect=returnList(aListOfValues)) values = mock() log.info("Got %s", values) And the log output is this: subsys: INFO: Got <generator object func at 0x1021db500> So, the side effect is returning the generator, not the next value, which seems wrong. Where am I getting this wrong?

• Monodevelop: `Waiting for debugger to connect...`

  I am trying to debug this Mono desktop software in Monodevelop. I imported the SLN file, ran Build all with success, but when I press the Debug button I get this popup that stays waiting forever saying Waiting for debugger to connect...: The output says: User assembly '/home/nico/src/SparkleShare/SparkleShare/bin/SparkleShare.exe' is missing. Debugger will now debug all code, not just user code. Am I doing something wrong? Monodevelop 2.8.6.3 on Ubuntu 2012.04. Nothing special appears on the console with monodevelop -v -v -v. When I press Run instead of Debug, the app crashes immediately saying The application exited with code: 255, but I need Debug to find where the problem is. Note: It is not the same problem as this question, which is about MonoTouch waiting for a phone simulator... the suggestions over there are about the simulator or updating XCode... no simulator nor XCode here.

I'm currently at the stage where I have a temporary table that contains all of the records that I want to output to a text file. I have the following line at the end of my SP, it works in PHPMYAdmin's query but it does not work when part of a stored procedure the code is as follows: SELECT * into outfile '../../htdocs/VIP/Temp/temp.txt' from tmp_Menu2; note that tmp_Menu2 is a table that only includes one field of type VARCHAR(1000) Any help would be greathly appreciated.   So, my project directory looks like this: /project Makefile main /src main.cpp foo.cpp foo.h bar.cpp bar.h /obj main.o foo.o bar.o What I would like my makefile to do would be to compile all .cpp files in the /src folder to .o files in the /obj folder, then link all the .o files in /obj into the output binary in the root folder /project. The problem is, I have next to no experience with Makefiles, and am not really sure what to search for to accomplish this. Also, is this a "good" way to do this, or is there a more standard approach to what I'm trying to do?

  Hi, In my mysql database I have the following information in a page name field. ç,Ç,ö,Ö,ü,Ü,i,I,s,S,g,G If I do a phpmyadmin dump the above is exported. I am using a different php script and instead of the above I am getting this. "\303\247,\303\207,\303\266,\303\226,\303\274,\303\234,\304\261,\304\260,\305\237,\305\236,\304\237,\304\236" This is the snippet which is generating the output. $data_sql = "SELECT * FROM ".$table_name; $data_res = @mysql_query($data_sql); while($data_row = @mysql_fetch_array($data_res,MYSQL_NUM)) { print_r($data_row); } How can I modify this to make sure that the data is correct? Is some sort of php function required? Do I need to do something to the file? Any advice is much appreciated.

• Text encoding in HTML text fields

  I have a site up that has a form on it. The form POSTs to a php script which then inserts the data into my database. The page has a charset=UTF-8 attribute in the <meta> tag, and the database is setup to use UTF-8. However, when I copy and paste characters from MS Word into the field, the output is messed up. For example, the quotes in I am using "Microsoft Word" '''' become I am using “Microsoft Word†???? in the database. Anyone have any idea why this might occur?

  Hi, I have a partial view that should not be cached in a output cached MVC view. Usually you write non-cached content by using Response.WriteSubstitution. The problem is that WriteSubstitution takes as a parameter a HttpResponseSubstitutionCallback callback which looks like this: public delegate string HttpResponseSubstitutionCallback(System.Web.HttpContext context) This is where things get complicated since there is no easy/fun way to generate the html on the fly. You have to do a hack like this. So the question is: Is there an easier way to make a partial view not cached ?

  I want to add methods (more specifically: method aliases) automatically to Python subclasses. If the subclass defines a method named 'get' I want to add a method alias 'GET' to the dictionary of the subclass. To not repeat myself I'd like to define this modifation routine in the base class. But if I check in the base class init method, there is no such method, since it is defined in the subclass. It will become more clear with some source code: class Base: def __init__(self): if hasattr(self, "get"): setattr(self, "GET", self.get) class Sub(Base): def get(): pass print(dir(Sub)) Output: ['__doc__', '__init__', '__module__', 'get'] It should also contain 'GET'.   Hello All... I have a following scenario in my SQL Server 2005 database. zipcodes table has following fields and value (just a sample): zipcode latitude longitude ------- -------- --------- 65201 123.456 456.789 65203 126.546 444.444 and place table has following fields and value : id name zip latitude longitude -- ---- --- -------- --------- 1 abc 65201 NULL NULL 2 def 65202 NULL NULL 3 ghi 65203 NULL NULL 4 jkl 65204 NULL NULL Now, my requirement is like I want to compare my zip codes of place table and update the available latitude and longitude fields from zipcode table. And there are some of the zipcodes which has no entry in zipcode table, so that should remain null. And the major issue is like I have more then 50,00,000 records in my db. So, query should support this feature. I have tried some of the solutions but unfortunately not getting proper output. Any help would be appreciated...

I tried other combinations but they don't seem to work. Any suggestions?

The logs are logged in a logfile process ID appended to each line. Prog to find out if the test case has passed or failed. The program shoud be running till the processes are running and display output.

• Hello World bootloader not working!

  Hello. I've been working through the tutorials on this webpage which progressively creates a bootloader that displays Hello World. The 2nd tutorial (where we attempt to get an "A" to be output) works perfectly, and yet the 1st tutorial doesn't work for me at all! (The BIOS completely ignores the floppy disk and boots straight into Windows). This is less of an issue, although any explanations would be appreciated. The real problem is that I can't get the 3rd tutorial to work. Instead on outputting "Hello World", I get an unusual character (and blinking cursor) in the bottom-left corner of the screen. It looks a bit like a smiley face inside a rounded rectangle. Does anyone know how to get Hello World to display as it should?
