  I was working in a web site (production) in Tomcat 7, so now I created a copy of this website and change the hibernate.cfg.xml to work with another database ( testing ). <property name="hibernate.connection.url">jdbc:mysql://127.0.0.1:3306/test</property> <property name="hibernate.connection.username">fake</property> <property name="hibernate.connection.password">fake</property> However, when I open the new new site, everything is ok, but, is still working with the production database even when I changed the connection string. Anybody knows if I need to change another thing?. I missing something?. I am quite new in tomcat. Thanks in advance.

• Lucene search on specific field name?

  I have been playing around with an installation of SOLR that indexes some data from my database. I am able to index data and query it back but I was wondering about how field name queries work. For certain fields I am able to specify their name and the search text to have the results return as expected and for other fields, when I specify their name and search text, no results are returned. q=type:book //(this will work) q=type:book AND title:"The Title" //(no results returned) In this example, type is a required field and title is not. For the example where I search by title, I can see the document in the results of the first query having the given title so I know that a document exists that matches this search. Is making a field 'required' the only way to be able to search by field name? [edit] I'm using the default installation and the 'example' folder inside of solr, editing the xml files and using the interface available through start.jar to be able to run, index and query.

  I am not able to access any method with the attribute [webinvoke] in a RESTful WCF service. My code is like this: [OperationContract] [WebInvoke(Method = "Post", UriTemplate = "Comosite/{composite}", ResponseFormat = WebMessageFormat.Xml)] CompositeType GetDataUsingDataContract(string composite); On executing the above service I am getting an error message Method not allowed. I tried many ways, by modifying the urltemplate, method name and method type etc. but nothing is working out. But if I use the [WebGet] attribute the the service method is working fine. Can anybody suggest me what can I do make it work? Thanks in advance... :)

I have decided to do this using Python (as an attempt to learn Python). The questions I have are 1) What should I know about python to get this done? ( I have an idea that Regular Expressions will be useful but are there alternatives/other modules that will be useful? • Flash Media Server dynamic file naming

  I'm trying to figure out most efficient/safe way to name recorded streams on FMS. The case is to get listing of recorded streams from the server (eg. rec_001, rec_002...) and dynamically add rec_003 filename to the new stream that is being recorded. I'm thinking about either using FMS File Object and put everything in array of files every time I start recording procedure or to create XML file that would serve as a database of file names. I'm searching for a solution efficient for MULTIPLE connections at a time and large amount of files. Which one of presented would be the best for this purpose? Or do you have any better suggestions of solving this problem?

• Setting a background drawable for a dialog?

  Hi, Tried posting this at android dev, wanted to go here too in case anyone knows. I'm trying to supply a custom background drawable for a dialog. I've created the following in my styles.xml file: <style name="CustomDlg" parent="@android:style/Theme.Dialog"> <item name="android:windowBackground">@drawable/my_background</item> </style> This works fine on 1.6+. On my g1 running 1.5 (and the 1.5 emulator) the drawable is used, but the area around the dialog is opaque black instead of being translucent. Is there something I'm missing here, or is this a bug with 1.5? Any work arounds? Is 1.5 just the ie6 of Android? Thanks

The ${label} part isn't being replaced by the build label like I expect. I'm expecting something like build.1 to show up in place of ${label}. How do I make this happen? I do have the default labelincrementer configured with a <labelincrementer /> tag in my project. Also, the CruiseControl documentation is absolutely awful. Is there better documentation anywhere?

  I already created a custom 404 page inside my web app deployed in JBoss AS 7.1. So if my app is at fubar dot com :8080/Myapp and I go to fubar dot com :8080/Myapp/xyzzy, I get the custom error page (defined in the web app's web.xml file). However, when I go to fubar dot com :8080/xyzzy, JBoss displays the default 404 page which discloses that it's JBoss and which JBoss version. I need to replace this page in order to hide this information. Please advise.

  I've spent hours scouring the net for anything to do with VBA calling data from the web in excel and nothing provides a tutorial on how to do so, only complicated examples un-related to what I want to do. I want to pull data from either a .html or .xml site, doesn't matter, via Excel and find specific points in that data. I can find specific points but don't know how to get the data or scroll through multiple lines. I've done this exact sort of thing in mIRC (sort of C code). http://eve-central.com/home/quicklook.html?typeid=438 http://api.eve-central.com/api/quicklook?typeid=438 Those are two examples, using roughly the same data I'd like to retrieve. It'd be FAR more specific with at most 100 or so different values. I'd like to be TAUGHT how to do it, not given the code to do it, or if you must explain each part with comments in-depth please.   Hello, I'm just setting out in android development. I want to make a kind of card based game. I'm just looking for suggestions really on how I might start it. I know I have to make the menu layout and view, then use an Intent from that to get to the main game view. My sticking points are: -There's going to be a deck of cards. It's going to be a set number so I was thinking I could just have each card defined as a button in the layout. I don't know if that is the right way to do it though. -Storage of card details. • Worried about spiders repeatedly hitting high-demand page

  Due to some rather bizarre architectural considerations I've had to set up something that really ought to run as a console application as a web page. It does the job of writing a large variety of text files and xml feeds from our site data for various other services to pick up so obviously it takes a little while to run and is pretty processor intensive. However, before I deploy it I'm rather worried that it might get hit repeatedly by spiders and the like. It's fine for the data to be re-written but continual hits on this page are going to trigger performance issues for obvious reasons. Is this something I ought to worry about? Or in reality is spider traffic unlikely to be intensive enough to cause problems?

  Whats the best way to deploy several customized versions of a Android application? Currently I have a script to exchange the resource folder for getting a customized version of my app. It works great, but all custom versions still have the same package name in the AndroidManifest.xml. Therefore it is not possible to install two customized versions of the app at the same time. This is one solution for this problem, but that has to be done by hand Can you think of a more easy solution, or how this could be built into a skript? (btw: it is not for a porn/spam/whatever app, not even a paid one)

  I set up various global parameters in Global.asax, as such: Application["PagePolicies"] = "~/Lab/Policies.aspx"; Application["PageShare"] = "/Share.aspx"; Application["FileSearchQueries"] = Server.MapPath("~/Resources/SearchQueries.xml"); ... I have no problem accessing these variables form .ascx.cs or .aspx.cs file -- ie. files that are part of the Web content. However, I can't seem to access 'Application' from basic class objects (ie. standalone .cs files). I want to be able to long press anywhere on a the table row to be able to get some options to delete or edit etc. Is this possible? Remember I need to do all this without setting any XML as its dynamically built. • Why does casting to double using "String * 1" fail? Will CDbl(String) work on all systems?

  I have an application which contains the line below to assign a parsed XML value to a variant array. V(2) = latNode.Text * 1 This works fine on my system (Windows 7, Excel 2010) but doesn't work on some other system or systems - and I've not been able to get a response from the user who reported the problem. I've switched out the offending line for: V(2) = CDbl(latNode.Text) This still works on my system, but then I had no problem in the first place. The question is on what systems does the first approach fail and why, and will the second method always work? I'm sure I've used the "Stying * 1" trick elsewhere before and would like to know how concerned I should be about tracking down other occurrences. Thanks.

• XSLT compile error when using XslCompiledTransform.Load indirectly called from an application.

  I have a component written in C#. Among other things it performs XSL transform on XML data it collects. When I test this feature using another C# project that uses the component it works just fine. However when I export the component as a COM component and try to use this feature from an application it fails on the XslCompiledTransform.Load command with an XSLT compile error. • Return result of block passed to #scan during regex

  I've searched and not been able to find the right way of doing what I'm trying to. I read a file line by line and want to create a new object from a regex on each line. I'm not using an XML parser because the data is not well formed and listed below is all I need to get from each line. I can't seem to get scan to return the result of the block. It just returns the original string. • How to use LDAP for authentication in Tomcat with Custom Authorization

  Hello, I'm using JNDIRealm with Tomcat for authentication, which at the moment works fine. However, we do not store any roles in the LDAP, so all authenticated users are not returning any roles. This sends user's to an HTTP 401 failed authorization page. I'd like to assign an "Admin" role to any and all user's who authenticate successfully. Here is my fragment from my web.xml file. SecurityConstraint Resource Resource *.jsp GET POST Admin FORM login.jsp loginError.jsp Admin Should I be using a JAASRealm with custom LoginModule? After the realm calls the authenticate() method and returns success, should I override another method to explicitly set the RolePrincipal to "Admin" so that authorization succeeds? Please help! • [Android] Text inserted in the edittext is overwritten

I'm a beginner and am making a calculator (fairly easy), but it's happening the following problem: When Cline in "1" button for example, he enters this number in the EditText, but if you click again the number is overwritten instead of the inserted his side as desired. How do the numbers were placed side by side without overwriting those already there? Note: The layout of buttons and etc. I did in. XML, so I'm not using the keyboard native Android. Thanks!
