    Hi guys, I have a set of .php files in a folder, I want to add text just before these lines: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en" > What i want is to insert just before these lines in the html file. So just want to prepend that file before each docType declaration. However the DOCTYPE declaration is never on line 1, as there is loads of php lines before.   • Can I learn the iPhone SDK and complete an app by September?

    Hi everyone, I'm wondering if it's realistically possible to learn the iPhone SDK and complete an app by the end of this summer. The app shouldn't be too difficult, it would just interact with my site's API and essentially just fetch, create, and edit resources. I already have a little experience with the SDK (and I'm comfortable with Objective-C), so I'm not completely new to it. Although here I things I don't know how to do and what I'd need to learn: Log in to my site using basic http authentication and store the user's username/password for all future requests Implement a toolbar at the bottom to navigate between different views Fetch and parse xml into list items Do POST/PUT requests to create/edit a resource on my server Are there any good resources available to learn how to do those tasks above?     Suppose I have this XML: <x> <e a='1' b='A'/> <e a='1' b='B'/> <e a='1' b='A'/> </x> I'd like to write an xpath to find any elements e which: Have attribute @b = 'A' Have the same value for attribute @a The xpath can't reference the literal value of attribute @a, however. It can reference the literal value of attribute @b. Or more generally, I want to find if there are any instances where there are two or more elements e[@b=A'] with the same value for attribute @a. Is this possible?

  • Description format for an embedded structure

    Hi, I have a C structure that allow users to configure options in an embedded system. Currently the GUI we use for this is custom written for every different version of this configuration structure. What I'd like for is to be able to describe the structure members in some format that can be read by the client configuration application, making it universal across all of our systems. I've experimented with describing the structure in XML and having the client read the file; this works in most cases except those where some of the fields have inter-dependencies. So the format that I use needs to have a way to specify these; for instance, member A must always be less than or equal to half of member B. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.

  • Android preferencesActivity setDefaultValue() not working?

    I'm extending PreferenceActivity for my settings screen. In this preference activity i have a couple of preferences one of which is custom made. The problem is as follows: in this custom preference (which extends from ListPreference) i want to be able to set the default value, so i override the setDefaultValue() method. In this method i do some parsing so it'll take the correct value. When i'm trying to read this value with the getValue() function it just returns null. So i figured, what happens when i just put some hardcoded value in there (you know, maybe i did something wrong, wouldn't be the first time). Well, i still get null back. Any ideas what i'm doing wrong? Edit: Setting the defaultValue in the xml file isn't really an option because the values aren't known until i retrieve them. I made a workaround: When app is started for the first time: get data Set the values in the preference. This way i set the default preference when i'm collection the data

    I am getting a byte array(I reckon) in NSMutableArray's object.The NSMutableArray i get is from Xml parsing from a service URL..Now I need to convert that byte array to UIImage ..Gone through google and found to convert to NSData and then UIImage but couldn't understand how..?   • Take advantage of multiple cores executing SQL statements

    I have a small application that reads XML files and inserts the information on a SQL DB. There are ~ 300 000 files to import, each one with ~ 1000 records. I started the application on 20% of the files and it has been running for 18 hours now, I hope I can improve this time for the rest of the files. I'm not using a multi-thread approach, but since the computer I'm running the process on has 4 cores I was thinking on doing it to get some improvement on the performance (although I guess the main problem is the I/O and not only the processing). I was thinking on using the BeginExecutingNonQuery() method on the SqlCommand object I create for each insertion, but I don't know if I should limit the max amount of simultaneous threads (nor I know how to do it). What's your advice to get the best CPU utilization? Thanks

    Hi I am using Xml Data source to build menu for my application.. but the problem I am facing is, when i click on the menu it display all submenu right below the menu.. but when i scroll down a little in the page and click on the menu it display the menu items not at the right place.. which means it display the items not right below the menu it leaves some space in between (which is equal to legth i come down using scrollbar).. can any one help me???????

  • How i can block calling onCreate while rotating device when My AsyncTask start?

    Hi, Me testing in Samsung Galaxy tab. In that i have made two layout folder for both ORIENTATION_LANDSCAPE and ORIENTATION_PORTRAIT with specific layout xml in it. In that layout i have a button and on clicking it start a progress dialog (doing some stuff using AsyncTask, after that going to new intent) But when the device is rotated when the progress dialog is working, that dialog and AsyncTask stop and new layout is loaded. If i understood correctly, I think the onCreate is called when device is rotated How i can block calling onCreate while rotating device when My AsyncTask start? Thank you

For outputing MS and Open format, there is no problem, all work properly. But what I want to know is, if I can output something (like XML or HTML) which I can use after to build a PDF document? If I can't, are there any libraries which provide merge document like : DOCX (or ODT) + database record => PDF And I don't want use phplivedocx.

  • Can a raw Lucene index be loaded by Solr?

    Some colleagues of mine have a large Java web app that uses a search system built with Lucene Java. What I'd like to do is have a nice HTTP-based API to access those existing search indexes. I've used Nutch before and really liked how simple the OpenSearch implementation made it to grab results as RSS. I've tried setting Solr's dataDir in solrconfig.xml, hoping it would happily pick up the existing index files, but it seems to just ignore them. My main question is: Can Solr be used to access Lucene indexes created elsewhere? Or might there be a better solution?

    My wish is to know how I can program a mobile website, that fit to all mobile phones. Are there any special approaches to recognize a device and render the code according to it? Which tools and coding languages are required? My first thought was to hold the website in XML, which would be parsed depending on the device. You have to consider old phones, even devices with only wap support. For example: The mobile website has to recognize Nokia N75 and render/send the code that looks optimal for this device. Same thing with an iPhone or a Motorola Razr.

    I'm attempting to call LinkedIn's API and store Network Updates. Each update has a Unix timestamp that I'm retrieving as a string variable from the REST XML response. I want to convert the string timestamp to a mysql datetime format. The date() function accepts an integer as the second argument for time to be converted. However, I'm on Windows 32 bit PHP and the integer type for this platform is limited to 2147483647. $timestamp = '1293714626675'; // sample pulled from linkedin $timestamp = (int) $timestamp; // timestamp now equals 2147483647 $mysqlDatetime = date('Y-m-d H:i:s', $timestamp); // produces incorrect time Is there a better method of creating the mysql datetime in PHP? I realize that I can convert it upon insert into MySQL however, that would require changing other dependent code.

Iam able to add an comment and I also have a defaultRollback property set. So, the added comment will be deleted automatically. happy!..Now the problem is with the sequence number for mcomment. Can I, in any way rollback the seq number? any suggestins on that. I dont want to mess up the sequrnce number. Business requires comment Id to be showed. (I still dont know why). I know in memory db is an option....but I am guessing defaultRollback purpose is to eliminate in memory db testing and mocking. (Just my opinion.)

  • How do I print array values in a range when values are supplied?

    My php reads in xml and I want to ouput the values within a given range. I have no way of knowing the size of the array or the range. However, I do know where to start; I have a $key that holds my current location. I also know where to stop; I have the word "ENDEVENTS" between each set. I want to get the values from my current position ($key) to my end position ("ENDEVENTS"). for example i may have an array set like this: Array( [0]=1 [1]=apple [2]=straw [3]=bike [4]=ENDEVENTS [5]=15 [6]=hair [7]=shirt [8]=nose [9]=kiwi [10]=ENDEVENTS ) My code knows when I'm on 15 (in this example $key=5). I want to print 6 through 9. I tried using foreach but it's thats causing issues with what I'm trying to produce. Any ideas?

    Hi I am learning how to program on Android phone. However I am unsure how to make my application work for the different screen sizes and resolutions. I read the tutorial on the android site and still unsure how to do it. First I know there are different files so could make a layout for each of the sizes but my problem is most of the screen needs to be dynamically created so there would not be much to put in these files. So I am not sure how to android to re size dynamic controls based on the screen size. I have also read it is bad practice to make controls in anything but the xml file as it separates view logic and programming logic. However they never talk about if you need to make these controls dynamically what you should do. So is there some other way to do it that is considered good practice?
