  Hi, Has anyone installed Faceted Search v3.0 for MOSS working with date columns? When I map a column of DateTime type and click the Search BreadCrumb webpart "remove filter" link (next to the edit filter link) an exception is thrown. The search Breadcrumb webpart throws an error when I click the "Remove filter" link (this is the one represented by the broken link icon - next to the "Edit facet" icon). This seems to only occur after clicking the "Remove filter" link for Facets of DateTime type after which it occurs on every instance for all Facets.   Hi, I created a java keystore programmatically of type jks (i.e. default type). It is initially empty so I created a DSA certificate. keytool -genkey -alias myCert -v -keystore trivial.keystore How can I see the public and private keys? I.e. is there a command that prints the private key of my certificate? • Trouble cloning a Macbook Pro hard drive

  I am trying to upgrade the 250GB hard drive in my MacBook Pro (early 2008 model) to a 750GB drive. I have connected the new drive via an external USB enclosure. The drive is recognized fine, I can format it, etc. However, every time I try to clone the drive, I am getting Input/Output errors. Before the clone operation, I have verified both the internal and the external drive using Disk Utility, and they both check out fine. After the clone operation, the external drive shows multiple "Invalid node structure" errors: I have tried two approaches for cloning the drive: Using Disk Utility, by starting from the OSX install DVD Using Carbon Copy Cloner The outcome is the same in both cases. The Carbon Copy Cloner logs show a handful of the following types of errors: rsync: mkstemp "<... an external filename ...>" failed: Input/output error (5) rsync: stat "<... an external filename ...>" failed: Input/output error (5) The actual files affected seem to be different across different runs of the application. Before the last run, I used Disk Utility to (once more) reformat the external drive and explicitly overwrite it with zeros, but this made no difference. I also tried running a surface scan in Tech Tool Pro overnight. It got about 2/3 of the way through before I had to disconnect the drive (had to take my MacBook Pro to work), but so far it didn't report any bad blocks. Assuming it scans the drive in the same order in which blocks would be allocated during actual use, it seems like if bad blocks were to blame for the clone failures, they should have been found already (given that the source drive is only 250GB). As a last attempt, I may try SuperDuper as well, although my understanding is that it uses the same underlying rsync approach as Carbon Copy Cloner, so it's unlikely to perform any better. Are there any other things I should try before I send the drive in for a replacement? Could these problems be caused by my internal drive, even though it works fine and checks out fine in Disk Utility?

If I want to add another question type I will need to modify the factory class and I do not want to do that. How can I set it up so that each question class registers itself with the Factory so that when I add a new question type, I do not have to change the code for the factory? I am a bit new to java and am not sure how to do this.

(directory structure of the original rpcbind source) # find rpcbind-0.2.0 -type d rpcbind-0.2.0 rpcbind-0.2.0/src rpcbind-0.2.0/man (directory structure of the patch download) # find debian -type d debian debian/patches debian/source [EDIT] I've figured out how to apply the individual patches in the patches directory: # patch -p1 < ../debian/patches/01-usage-fix.patch patching file src/rpcbind.c (and so on for each patch file) ... but I'm not sure what do with the patch-related files in the root debian folder.   I am trying to build a template geographic database for PostGIS (1.5) on Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) for my GeoDjango application. The only difference is, I do not have the GetObjectData method defined or the constructor with SerializationInfo defined. If I run the application as is, I receive an error that says: Type 'My.MyException' cannot be serialized. Consider marking it with the DataContractAttribute attribute, and marking all of its members you want serialized with the DataMemberAttribute attribute. If the type is a collection, consider marking it with the CollectionDataContractAttribute. If I add the DataContract / DataMember attributes to the class and its appropriate members on the server-side, I receive an error that says: Type cannot be ISerializable and have DataContractAttribute attribute. How do I serialize MyException so that I can pass an instance of it to my WCF service. Please note, I want to use my service from an Android app. Because of this, I don't want to do anything too Microsoft centric. That was my fear with DataContract / DataMember stuff.   I've tried searching but couldn't come up with a defined way on how to add your own packages to a GWT project. My tree structure looks like this: -com.mycompany -public MyApplication.html MyApplication.gwt.xml -com.mycompany.client MyApp.java -com.mycompany.gui TableLayout.java The answer I've seen out there says to add the packages relative to the root directory of the gwt.xml file, like so: <module> <inherits name="com.google.gwt.user.User" /> <entry-point class="com.mycompany.client.MyApp" /> <source path="client" /> <source path="gui" /> </module> It then complains: Unable to find type 'com.technicon.client.MyApp' Hint: Previous compiler errors may have made this type unavailable Hint: Check the inheritance chain from your module; it may not be inheriting a required module or a module may not be adding its source path entries properly Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to fix this?

• Correct way to detect sequence parameter?

  I want to write a function that accepts a parameter which can be either a sequence or a single value. The type of value is str, int, etc., but I don't want it to be restricted to a hardcoded list. In other words, I want to know if the parameter X is a sequence or something I have to convert to a sequence to avoid special-casing later. I could do type(X) in (list, tuple) but there may be other sequence types I'm not aware of, and no common base class. -N. Edit: See my "answer" below for why most of these answers don't help me. Here's the low-down: I'm new to git. I just set up an account with github and I followed all their instructions flawlessly until I got to the last command of git push origin master Upon entering this command, I get the error message "fatal: No path specified. See 'man git-pull' for valid url syntax." If I type in git origin show the output I see is origin. If I type in git remote -n show the output is * remote origin URL: [email protected]: HEAD branch: (not queried) Local ref configured for 'git push' (status not queried): (matching) pushes to (matching) Please help me get to the bottom of this.

  Hello: I am working on a web application that currently provides a list of documents in a MySql database. Each document in the list has an onclick event that is suppose to open the specific document, however I am unable to do this. My list gets popluated using Ajax. • CKEditor Modal Issues.

  So I'm using CKeditor inside of a jQueryUI dialog. The issue I'm having is when you click on a button like the "link" button, the modal that pops up, won't let me type anything into it's inputs. I can change the values of the pull downs, I can drag the modal around the screen, and I can click on the buttons. But when I attempt to type into the text inputs, nothing happens. Has anyone else come across this? If so, did they find a solution? Thanks! Maybe this has something to do with it? http://dev.jqueryui.com/ticket/4309 But I'm using 1.7.2...

I then intend to store all the cells in a hash-table and then iterate through to report (if any) collisions. So, here is what I am doing: Grid-cell's position: (int type) (Gx, Gy, Gz) = (x / M, y / M, z / M) where M is the size of the grid. Once, I have a cell, I'd like to add it to a hash-table with its key being a unique hash based on (Gx, Gy, Gz) and the value being the cell itself. Now, I cannot think of a good hash function and I need some help with that. Can someone please suggest me a good hash function? Thanks
