• Passing data to notification page

  I'm not sure what the best way of populating a notification page is. I've been using sessions to populate it with information, but this falls short if the user is blocking cookies. I've considered passing it in HTTP GET variables, but I'm unsure whether it's a good alternative since its length is limited by some browsers. Which method do you prefer?

  We are using bcrypt for passwords and data that never needs to be decrypted. What should do to protect other user information that does. For this example lets say that we didn't want a users real name to be in plain text in case someone was to obtain the db. This is somewhat sensitive data but also needs to be called from time to time and displayed in plain text. Is there a simple way to do this?

  I've found an old plugin called acts_as_habtm_list - but it's for Rails 1.0.0. Is this functionality built in acts_as_list now? I can't seem to find any information on it.   I am using the ScintillaNET component and I am attempting to capture clicks in the margin, as this will determine how I respond. Unfortunately, the margins capture the mouse events (and don't provide a way, from what I can see, to get the click information - number of clicks, mouse button clicked, etc).
