How does the Twitter rate limit API work with multiple accounts?

I know there's a Rest API to check the Twitter rate limit. To summarize policy: 150 for an IP, and 150 per non-whitelisted account except for searches (which are IP only). However, my app is using Twython, authenticated, but the limit seems to decrease for both my accounts as I use it. Accessing Bluetooth virtual COM port on Windows without manual pairing

I need to connect to a Bluetooth device through virtual COM port created in Windows. It's easy when the port has been already created during manual pairing procedure. But I would like my application to relieve an user from the manual pairing of a device. I would like to present all devices in the range, allow user to chose one, and then create virtual COM port connected with the selected device. I'm not trying to avoid the pairing procedure itself, but rather I would like to invoke it by my application. I started getting familiar with Microsoft Bluetooth API. And then some doubts arose. I've been wondering what happen if some user would use different (than Microsoft's) Bluetooth stack? Is the Microsoft's API the real Bluetooth API, which have to be implemented by any other Bluetooth stack provider? Or rather each provider has its own API, and the Microsoft's is only one of many other?

How does .NET determine the week in a TimeZoneInfo.TransitionTime ?

Greetings I'm trying to do some DateTime math for various time zones and I wanted to take daylight savings into account. Lets say I have a TimeZoneInfo and i've determined the appropriate AdjustmentRule for a given DateTime. Lets also say the particular TimeZoneInfo i'm dealing with is specified as rule.DaylightTransitionStart.IsFixedDateRule == false, so I need to figure out if the given DateTime falls within the start/end TransitionTime.Week values. This is where I'm getting confused, what is .NET considering as a "week"? My first thought was it probably used something like DayOfWeek thisMarksWeekBoundaries = Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture.DateTimeFormat.FirstDayOfWeek; and went through the calendar assigning days to week, incrementing week every time it crossed a boundary. But, if I do this for May 2010 there are 6 week boundary buckets, and the max valid value for TransitionTime.Week is 5 so this can't be right. Whats the right way to slice up May 2010?

Hi Guys, I'm using SWFUpload and Paperclip on Rails 2.3.5 to upload images and videos. How can I store the capture date of images and duration of videos? The following works correctly in irb: irb(main):001:0> File.new('hatem.jpg').mtime => Tue Mar 09 16:56:38 +0200 2010 But when I try to use Paperclip's before_post_process: before_post_process :get_file_info def get_file_info puts File.new(self.media.to_file.path).mtime # =>Wed Apr 14 18:36:22 +0200 2010 end I get the current date instead of the capture date. How can I fix this? Also, how can I get the video duration and store it with the model? Thank you.

Checking if a user input is a valid date or a valid "date + time" is easy: .NET provides DateTime.TryParse (and, in addition, VB.NET provides IsDate). Now, I want to check if the user entered a date including a time component. So, when using a German locale, 31.12.2010 00:00 should be OK, but 31.12.2010 shouldn't. I know I could use DateTime.TryParseExact like this: Dim formats() As String = {"d.M.yyyy H:mm:ss", "dd.M.yyyy H:mm:ss", _ "d.MM.yyyy H:mm:ss", "d.MM.yyyy H:mm:ss", _ "d.M.yyyy H:mm", ...} Dim result = DateTime.TryParseExact(userInput, formats, _ Globalization.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture, ..., result) but then I would hard-code the German format of specifying dates (day dot month dot year), which is considered bad practice and will make trouble should we ever want to localize our application. In addition, formats would be quite a large list of all possible combinations (one digit, two digits, ...). Is there a more elegant solution?

I've been struggling with "get-credential" and "invoke-sqlcmd", only to find (I think), that you can't pass the password from "get-credential" to another Powershell cmdlets. JSON Feed Appears to be XHR when it should be JS

I don't get why it'd doing this with the 2nd feed (appearing as a XHR call rather than just JS [looking at it in Firefox/Firebug]). The 2nd feed has the exact same MIME type as Flickr's JSON feed, yet the PortlandOregon.gov one shows as XHR and i get a NULL callback when using $.getJSON and if i use $.ajax with a 'json' or 'jsonp' type i get nothing at all. If i do the Flickr one i get the normal "[object Object]" callback. Whats going on? Please help! This has been such a headache for about a week. And i have authorization to change the feed, but i have to request the change, so if anyone knows for absolute sure let me know that! Error mounting CloudDrive snapshot in Azure

Hi, I've been running a cloud drive snapshot in dev for a while now with no probs. I'm now trying to get this working in Azure. I can't for the life of me get it to work. This is my latest error: Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Storage.CloudDriveException: Unknown Error HRESULT=D000000D ---> Microsoft.Window.CloudDrive.Interop.InteropCloudDriveException: Exception of type 'Microsoft.WindowsAzure.CloudDrive.Interop.InteropCloudDriveException' was thrown. at ThrowIfFailed(UInt32 hr) at Microsoft.WindowsAzure.CloudDrive.Interop.InteropCloudDrive.Mount(String url, SignatureCallBack sign, String mount, Int32 cacheSize, UInt32 flags) at Microsoft.WindowsAzure.StorageClient.CloudDrive.Mount(Int32 cacheSize, DriveMountOptions options) Any idea what is causing this? I'm running both the WorkerRole and Storage in Azure so it's nothing to do with the dev simulation environment disconnect.
