• "remote file operation failed" on Hudson

  I am running a Windows slave for Husdon 1.337 (Linux master). When running a project on the Windows node, it fails with the following message: Building remotely on winTestSlave Checking out a fresh workspace because there's no workspace at C:\hudson\***\ejb remote file operation failed It did work yesterday and I have not upgraded Hudson or changed its configurations (or the slave's configurations) in any way. I establish the connection between the slave and the master by running the following command on a cygwim prompt on the slave: java -jar slave.jar -jnlpUrl http://myserver/computer/winTestSlave/slave-agent.jnlp I saw the issue http://issues.hudson-ci.org/browse/HUDSON-5374 and did as instructed in the work-around but that did not work. I also tried with a newer version of slave.jar (version 1.356) but that did not work either. Does anyone please have any idea of how to fix this? I really cannot find more information anywhere else!

  I have several libraries made by myself (a geometry library, a linked list library, etc). I want to make a header file to include them all in one lib.h. Could I do something like this: #ifndef LIB_H_ #define LIB_H_ #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <linkedlist.h> #include <geometry.h> .... #endif Then I could just reference this one library and actually reference multiple libraries. Is this possible? If not, is there a way around it?

  I'm trying to validate an XML file against a number of different schemas (apologies for the contrived example): a.xsd b.xsd c.xsd c.xsd in particular imports b.xsd and b.xsd imports a.xsd, using: <xs:include schemaLocation="b.xsd"/> I'm trying to do this via Xerces in the following manner: XMLSchemaFactory xmlSchemaFactory = new XMLSchemaFactory(); Schema schema = xmlSchemaFactory.newSchema(new StreamSource[] { new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("a.xsd"), "a.xsd"), new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("b.xsd"), "b.xsd"), new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("c.xsd"), "c.xsd")}); Validator validator = schema.newValidator(); validator.validate(new StreamSource(new StringReader(xmlContent))); but this is failing to import all three of the schemas correctly resulting in cannot resolve the name 'blah' to a(n) 'group' component. I've validated this successfully using Python, but having real problems with Java 6.0 and Xerces 2.8.1. Can anybody suggest what's going wrong here, or an easier approach to validate my XML documents?

One of the requirements changed is to support large files (10 to 15MB per RAW camera file, expected 1000 to 5000 files download per day) download worldwide for their customers. The process will be: there is upload screen via paperclip to the rails local public folder a hourly task to upload to web storage (S3?) update the download url from paperclip url to the web url Questions: is there a gem/plug-in for this purpose? if no, any gem/plug-in for S3 to recommend? Questions about the storage provider: is S3 recommended? or other service to recommend? The baseline is: the client's web server does not and will not have the bandwidth to handle the downloads. • MD5 hash differences between Python and other file hashers

  I have been doing a bit of programming in Python (still a n00b at it) and came across something odd. I made a small program to find the MD5 hash of a filename passed to it on the command line. I used a function I found here on SO. When I ran it against a file, I got a hash "58a...113". But when I ran Microsoft's FCIV or the md5sum.py in \Python26\Tools\Scripts\, I get a different hash, "591...ae6". The actual hashing part of the md5sum.py in Scripts is m = md5.new() while 1: data = fp.read(bufsize) if not data: break m.update(data) out.write('%s %s\n' % (m.hexdigest(), filename)) This looks functionally identical to the code in the function given in the other answer... What am I missing? (This is my first time posting to stackoverflow, please let me know if I am doing it wrong.)

• Preprocess strings file during Xcode build

  Hello, I know there's a way to preprocess my info.plist file, but is there a similar way to process strings files inside my Settings.bundle? My problem: I have an iPhone app and I want the the user to know about the currently installed version. I do this by displaying it in the apps settings. Now every time i change the bundle version in my info.plist i also have to change the version in the Root.strings in the Settings.bundle. I could run a script action that updates it, but it would be nice to use the preprocessor since I could do even more fun things with it. Thanks!

  A few years ago there was a PHP script around called paFileDB. Essentially it created a database of files that end users could download and rate. It would keep track of the number of downloads as well. I am looking for a replacement of this coded in ASP.net C#. For the last week I have been searching around for "asp.net C# file database" and have just gotten how to upload files to a database. I have also search with some other terms. I do not need a full blown CMS like DotNetNuke or SharePoint. All I have been looking for is a system I could easily add to my existing .net C# site. I have thought about coding one myself, but with me being rather busy at work and this being a personal project, I simply do not have the time to code this myself. I hope that you guys can help. • How do I programmatically nullify a File Attachment in InfoPath Forms

  Howdy all, I'm running into a problem with some InfoPath C# code while trying to remove an attachment from a form. Basically the process is: User opens form User clicks button File attachment is cleared I've tried adding a blank attachment to my schema that never becomes populated, then setting the original field's value equal to that value by the method below. When debugging the form I catch an error: Schema validation found non-data type errors.   I am trying to map a drive using a batch file. I have tried: net use m: \Server01\myfolder /USER:mynetwork\Administrator "Mypassword" /persistent:yes It works fine. The problem comes when I try to map a folder with spaces on its name: net use m: \Server01\my folder /USER:mynetwork\Administrator "Mypassword" /persistent:yes I have tried using quotes, using myfold~1 but nothing works. An easy way would be renaming the folder but I have it mapped in more than 300 workstations so is not a very good idea. PLEASE HELP!!!

  Hi, We're using XML Digital Signatures for signing and verifying our license keys. The signing works fine and has been running smoothly. The XML license file contains a few (plaintext) details about the license, along with a binary signature. We'd like to encode (I don't say encrypt) those plaintext details (license duration, user name, etc, etc.) so they're not immediately visible to prying eyes. Is there a standard (eg, base 64 or something else) that people use in this situation? It doesn't need to be secure or particularly clever, just enough to conceal the information in Notepad.   I have a script that recursively scans a directory pulling out class names from php files, and storing those classes names in an array. This is working nicely even through the rather large Zend Framework library folders. The issue is that classes that extend other classes are not being included in the array. • Creating C# form fields with events based off of a text file

  I need to generate windows form fields based off of a text file that I am parsing. I also want to automatically generate validation event handlers which all will be basically the same only the form field and the regular expression which is used to validate the field will change. I'm having a difficult time figuring out the quickest and easiest method to go about doing this. Any pointers in the right direction would really be great, maybe even some keywords that I'm missing. • Zend Framework - Not Connecting to IMAP mail server - instead dumps empty php file

  Hi guys I'm trying to connect to an imap mail server using zend frameworks Zend_Mail_Storage_Imap function. Its working with some accounts but with most accounts it just dies out. I'm connecting using: $mail = new Zend_Mail_Storage_Imap(array('host' =>$current_dept->incoming_server, 'ssl' =>$current_dept->ssl, 'port'=>$current_dept->incoming_port, 'folder'=>$mbox_name, 'user' =>$current_dept->email, 'password' =>$current_dept->email_psd)); WIth some email accounts teh code doesn't go past this statement - and instead I'm prompted to 'download' the php file being run. Whats happening here - the mail server details are correct.
